Great location within walking distance of shopping, convenience stores, gas stations, and a great Mexican restaurant. Close to hot springs and the downtown shopping district. My room was HUGE but priced as much as a smaller space would have cost me. It was inside of a dorm-type inner hallway with other young people traveling without having to share a space like a hostel. Plenty of places to charge your devices, lots of room to hang your clothes and store your luggage. Most rooms are on the ground floor if stairs are too much. I didn’t get a chance to use the shower so I can’t speak to that. My room had beautiful stained glass windows and it was very quiet all throughout my two night stay. I would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend visiting the hot springs while you’re there, and visiting the downtown area where you can tour the building where Doc Holliday stayed at the time of his death. There’s a great rock & mineral shop there too where Infound some amazing jewelry and meaningful stones to guide my travels.

The woman who checked me into my room was helpful in setting me up with that nice corner room, and informative about nearby attractions, but I felt a bit uncomfortable when she said she watched me on camera unloading my luggage and told me not to bring so much into my room with me. I was just grabbing a different outfit from my large suitcase but honestly that’s none of her business what I bring with me.

Booking was easy. They even let us check in early. Front end staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My husband and I are regular visitors to the area, so we're quite knowledgeable as well, but if we hadn't been, the gentleman at the front desk had very good recommendations on activities and restaurants nearby.

Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable. As a person with chronic pain, I had a VERY difficult time sleeping

The location of this hotel is fantastic and checking in was simple. Our room was much larger than I thought it would be and in great condition. Very clean. You're close to major attractions in Glenwood Springs and surrounding cities. You can walk to a gas station/convenience store for last-minute necessities. There are also restaurants nearby.

Nothing bad to report. We had a great experience.

We loved this place! Mid-century modern furniture and decor lovingly cared for. "Dated" but in a good way--fun and interesting. A real host who greeted us warmly and personably at reception. We had a suite with two spacious bedrooms and shared bath with a tiny refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the entryway. Everything we needed. Try to get a room away from the street to avoid road noise.

Pillows could have been better. Not a place for sleeping late since the plumbing is quite noisy and everyone seemed to get up early.

A beautiful place to stay! We arrived late after full day on the road and the receptionist was really nice. The location is really calm and quiet, I felt as if we were at a lodge high in the mountains. The room was clean and bed was really comfortable. The other day I was sad that we were just passing through the town and didn’t plan to spend more time here. Absolutely recommended!

Starlight Lodge was great, they have a nice homey atmosphere and staff that goes beyond professional to be down right friendly, even some light hearted ribbing after I couldn't get a door open. The room was small, but met the needs and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.

The guy I was traveling with kept me up with his snoring. Yeah, that's the only thing I can really complain about.

We were on the main level because we can’t do stairs too much We stayed a couple years ago at the upper place with a balcony and that was nicer, but it would’ve been harder for us to walk since we’re older so it was good The beds were comfortable and it looked clean

Well, the bathroom ceiling and walls were peeling. There was mold around the bathtub and it was very small and dated.

This was one of our favorite overnight stops on our 14-day Colorado holiday. We were given a large second-floor room that was exceptionally clean, with colorful flower boxes on the balcony, a mountain view, and well-constructed windows and sliding glass doors with intact screens (a rarity in motels, it seems). The gentleman who checked us in couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Breakfast would have been nice, but there are a couple of early-opening cafes within walking distance (a nice walk over a footbridge to the downtown, with a view of the hot springs en route). Overall, it was a very pleasant experience to stay here.

I loved the connected two bedroom. It gave our kids and grandparents more time with each other than if we had two separate rooms. And sharing a bathroom wasn't a big deal.

I didn't like that even though the rooms were non smoking, there was a table right outside our door with an ashtray and a couple times we walked outside someone was smoking right outside our door.

I have always wanted to stay here due to its cute Bavarian Village exterior. For a 2 star and the price it was good for an overnight stay. I'm a past travel agent and public school teacher, so when I travel, I look for safe, clean, and the reviews compared to cost as I like to spend my funds on food and excursions.
