Very pleasant lady that worked on reception. The noise insulation is maybe a bit weaker. The location is great for family vacations, but it can also be good for other tourists, because the public transport is very frequent in that part of the city. Breakfast was excellent and staff in the kitchen is very professional. Special attraction is the recorded voice of the anouncer lady in the elevator. 😆 Finally, this is a really good hotel for any occasion, and value for money ratio is very good.

The location is perfect for access to the sea, for restaurants, bus stops and you can’t hear the main road noise. The room was basic but clean and had tea/coffer making facilities. Breakfast was a mix of hot and cold food and on a buffet basis and g/f toast available on request. The coffee was excellent. The meals available in the evening were very good and on the large portion size!! All the staff were super friendly and efficient and made the stay even better. Hats off to them ……

If you eat inside at night the TV is on making it difficult to have a good conversation and although the decor is fine during the day it’s a tad utilitarian at nighttime. The walls are thin and you could hear movement, voices and the scraping of chairs on the floors.

Unfortunately, the pool is not enjoyable because everyone is allowed in. It was crowded, the children were jumping, they were eating pizza and drinking soft drinks in the water. There were 52 people in the pool at one time.... This is absolutely not a hotel guest friend.

Nice staff. We had some minor issues, but the staff was helpful and quickly provided solutions for our comfort. Although the hotel is old-style, I found it a good experience, like something antique.

The swimming pool is not mentioned on the website as being closed in winter. It would be nice if a small fridge were provided in the room. Breakfast was okay but repetitive, with only small changes from time to time. Regarding the location, it is good for rest and recreation. However, it was tiring to travel to Valletta; it was around 51 stops, as the bus service was slow, made many stops, and was unreliable. It is around 18 km, and that took up to 90 minutes by bus.!!

Overall it was a cheap and correct hotel. It's an old-fashioned hotel, but we had everything that we needed. The view from the sea-view room was breathtaking. Despite the old style, we had tidy sheets, a clean bathroom, a good English breakfast, and EXCELLENT COFFEE. I couldn't complain. The bus station was nearby and if you want to visit Gozo, the Cirkewwa ferry terminal station is nearby.

The most popular sightseeing spots are far from here, and you need to go to Valletta to visit them. Valletta is about 45 minutes away by bus. We were in Malta in November, and the weather was great, around 23 degrees. We didn’t miss having a fridge in our room, but in the summertime, I can imagine it might be uncomfortable without one.

The hotel is in a fairly quiet area. Rooms were basic but had everything we needed. Comfortable too. Reception staff were all really helpful and friendly.

We had cancelled a booking at a different hotel due to finding out their pool would not be open during our stay. We booked the Ambassador as booking.com stated quite clearly that their pool WOULD BE OPEN during our stay, however this turned out to be incorrect. Luckily we had only booked for 2 nights so it wasn't too big an issue but was still disappointing, specially after believing we'd done the relevant research to ensure the pool would be open.

The first time I was with my partner in Malta, one of the best decisions we made was choosing this hotel. Everything was perfect! The location – probably the best possible on the island – was quiet and peaceful, close to great tourist attractions, with a BEAUTIFUL view from the balcony of the sea and the bay, near shops and bus stops, charming beaches, and if needed, a pool in the hotel. The room was super clean, with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The drinks and food in the restaurant were outrageously delicious, and the portions were so huge that it was impossible to clean the plate! All the staff were very friendly, especially Christian from the bar (I hope I spelled the name correctly) and Elena from the reception, who made our stay at the hotel fantastic. They were very friendly, funny, approachable, extremely helpful, and fluent in several languages. They should be awarded employees of the year because they are the perfect representation of this place, so when we return to Malta, we will definitely choose Hotel Ambassador again! I hope to see you soon!

If you are a light sleeper I would suggest bringing some ear plugs. It's not noisy but the walls are thin and if your neighbor decides to use the TV late at night or 6:30am (as we experienced) then you may get woken up. Ear plugs would solve this problem though.

The room had a balcony which has an amazing view of the sea. They had a restaurant and play area for kids on site. Breakfast had few selections but then we asked the server if we can have English breakfast and they prepared for us. The omelette was baked to perfection every time!!!! We took our small dog with us at the hotel (we messaged them before to make sure if we can and it was approved beforehand) and she could even join us to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The female server given her a bowl with water to drink from and was really helpful and always with a smile. At the restaurant they had a seafood platter for 2 which was amazing!! The female reception was really sweet and very welcoming. Even when we called to ask for the dinner menu, the male receptionist passed the menu under the door room which we really appreciated his quick response. Even though the hotel is a three star hotel and need some room updates, it was a lovely and enjoyable stay!! To all the staff and management, thank you!!

The room needs some refurbishment. It had a very small TV (maybe 16 inch) and it was a bit hard to watch anything from the bed. Also, it had limited channels that one could watch. The ribeye was a bit well done when we asked for a medium to rare.

Great location by the sea, satisfying breakfast (with enough veggie options), helpful and friendly staff, balcony with a nice view. Room was clean and had all the necessary toiletries. Don’t forget to bring your own adapter if needed since they were not provided (could be bought at the reception).

Wi-fi didn’t work in our room. Maybe a little clothes drying rack on the balcony would be helpful for swimwear and towels. If accommodated on the first floor, some may feel a little bit exposed on the balcony that is oriented to the street. But these are just details and did not have any major effect on our stay at the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and polite.The room and bedding were clean.The view was beautiful with a sunrise just opposite.The breakfast was standard,not an enormous choice, but enough.The pool was clean and not so cold.

We had dinner at the restaurant,the portions were good but the burger bread was not toasted and the chips were slightly undercooked.There was also a lack of bbq sauce on the ribs.Having said that, the waiter was more than helpful and the view was nice.Apart from that it was worth the money
