Really beautiful hotel in excellent location.

My room had no window. Had I known I would never have stayed there. Without a window you have no sense of day or night and I hate that. The staff member who brought me to my room told me the rooms with windows have 2 beds. Should have changed anyhow. The battery in my smoke alarm died at 2 am when it started screeching at me. To their credit someone came up immediately. But I believe that regular maintenance will avoid batteries dying in the middle of the night.

The hotel definitely offers a great ambiance as well as a historical charm. It is located in a great location nearby to many attractions, offers great customer service, and is a building that offers a continuous flow of traffic of different travelers worldwide. Mario, aka (El Carnalio), the bellhop/porter in the afternoon shift, made our stay exceptional by offering great suggestions on tours, accommodating to arrange transportation for us around and overall providing exceptional customer service and safety suggestions. Jose was very helpful as well! Daliah at the front desk was great at accommodating our balcony request. Overall, our 6-day, 5-night stay was amazing!

On our last day, I asked if we could checkout an hour later since our flight was leaving later than checkout time and was told I could by Mildred for a price I thought was NOT reasonable. By the way, she wasn't very understanding or friendly. Most hotels I've experienced offer a courtesy hour for check out. Check-in is at 3, and checkout is at 12 (keep that in mind when booking flights). I believe these hours could use some revision.

We made use of the bar a few times, which was good. Only tried the restaurant once for breakfast, and we were happy with that.

The only frustration I felt was that the main courtyard felt very dark, and that the 2 main courtyards were not open to the sky. It would have been lovely if at least the second courtyard was open. Otherwise we were very happy with everything about our stay.

The staff were friendly and accommodated everyone of our needs. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, and you could order a la carte as well.

There isn’t anything that comes to mind. The fountain in the lobby with the constantly flowing water created a serene feel and calming ambience.

The Hotel Morales is definitely my 'go to' hotel in Guadalajara. The colonial-style building is full of character, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, the service is excellent and the downtown location is unbeatable

Everything was as I knew it would be from previous visits..No complaints or criticisms whatsoever !!

Staff and location. And the historic building

Small room. No comfortable chair to sit on. Noisy from the dining room setting up in the morning. Smell of the eggs and food from the Buffett. And noise of people coming and going in the lobby.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved the location because we were able to walk to the Centro Historico easily during the day. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants. We visited this juicing place a few meters away in front of the hotel. We also got to try the food in La Chata and the service was great. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet for a very affordable price with a delicious variety. The service was excellent and everyone is so helpful. They also have a shuttle service and are able to book you a tour to the different places around Guadalajara (Tlaquepaque, Tequila, and Chapala).

Loved everything about it. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful heritage building and location

The pillows were too hard and big. They could have given one soft and flatter pillow. Missed having more natural light in the room. There was only one small window tucked in the corner. Apart from that the room was very comfortable.

Excellent location… easy to walk to many sites, restaurants, shopping etc. We enjoyed your swimming pool too. Staff was friendly. Whole facility was very clean. We felt very comfortable & safe at your lovely hotel. The rain head shower was awesome!

1. There was a strong mildew smell when we turned on the shower. 2. We were there during the week & we’re disappointed that the breakfast buffet was only on the weekends. 3. We were surprised that it was so expensive to stay here. We thought that at most, we’d be paying $75US total, per night.

We loved the hotel as it's such a beautiful old building and seems well looked after. The location is ideal and very close to good local restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. The food at the hotel restaurant was great and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
