Restaurants food quality was incredibile., we enjoyed every single meal. Rooms spacious and clean. Hotel staff was very attentive.

Honestly I did not appreciate that everything was meant for Russian visitors only. Walking around the hotel and outside of it all the bilboards and posters were written in Russian directly. All the services were meant for Russian speaking visitors, even the menus...which was a bit disheatening. I felt I was in Sochi not Udawatuna - this took all the Sri Lanka vacation spirit away...

The facilities and rooms were modern and really well equipped, very grand furniture in the rooms and lobby. Loved the christmas decorations throughout the property and carols played leading up to christmas. The standard of food was impeccable.

The shower and change rooms near the outdoor pool was very badly maintained, floors were always filled puddles of water and sand and a constant stench of urine throughout the change rooms. The many pool attendants who were standing idly near the towel station could be deployed on a regular basis during the day to keep the change rooms dry and clean.

Stayed in room 720 lovely sea view and trees view. Spacious room with lots of storage, has an iron & board, hairdryer etc. Lovely bath, great shower and vanity mirror in bathroom. Big comfy bed with feather pillows and duvet. Quiet air con and a fan option if you prefer also. Big balcony, perfect for sunrise. Room service food was lovely, Sahan (IDR) was polite, attentive, professional and friendly. Madruanga in housekeeping was also very good and friendly at his job. Other staff in the hotel were also friendly and attentive. Nice buggy to take us from the car park to reception, taking our bags and welcoming us with a cool drink and cool cloth, perfect start! I would definitely stay again, as there's a lovely beach, with plenty of restaurants and cafes, music etc without having to drive or go on the main road

The tiki beach bar staff were a little inattentive and I suggest a little improvement here. Also the food isn't the best, especially considering the price.

The room was absolutely gorgeous, very spacious, as so were all the areas within the hotel. The bed and the shower so pleasant, I didn't use the bathtube, but I would have loved to do so. I loved I could have space at the gym to make yoga and to be so close to the ocean. The beach area was nice, and the staff always helped me to get a sunbed infront of the water. I loved I could eat fresh fruit form the "fruit market" and that the hotel is very close to restaurants and shops at walking distance. Staff was always so kind, I felt absolutely in paradise, I hope I can come back again soon!

The room service food was not good, I contacted the personal, and they managed to change it and make it better, they were very atentive, but I could have expected a better quality. I didn't like that just infront the hotel, the boats park and launch so it is sometimes uncomfortable to smell the gasoline, and to not be able to swim in tranquility in case they pass you by (but I guess this has nothing to do with the hotel management).

Araliya Beach Resort & Spa is a great hotel in Sri Lanka, this was our second long stay in the resort and we plan to go back in February 2023 :) The layout, gym, resturants, bar, food and beach area is great, and the location around the hotel has nice cafés and shops.@ There is one thing we would recommend the hotel to change and that is the music by the pool during the day. It's way too loud and way to noisy - it's like crazy party/rave music and it goes on for hours. We left the pool/beach area early every day just because our heads were buzzing from the heavy music, not being able to take a nap or even have a conversation without "yelling" to each other. Spotify has alot of calm but still modern pop music, the list is called "Lounge Music." Next time we arrive we hope this change has been made :)

Absolutely wonderful hotel with five star facilities. All staff were the friendliest and most helpful people. Room is large and we had beautiful sunset view. Rooms are located in a different building to pool and cafes but a nice very short walk across bridge. Breakfast is extensive and good variety. Other restaurants and bars were good too and very welcoming. Located on beach and surrounded by many restaurants on beachfront and surrounding streets.

Had macaroons delivered to room on first night and therefore expected nightly treat but this was only a once off but still nice. Didn't replace toilet paper or replace drinking glasses on one occasion but rang housekeeping and they were replaced very swiftly.

This is my second time in Araliya and it never ceases to amaze me, beautiful resort and amazing location. The rooms are the best part in this hotel, huge rooms and the view was wonderful!! I’d recommend this hotel to everyone

The facilities overall were great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, We had one issue upon arrival where our booking was cancelled due to no show even though I had already informed them through message that I will be arriving the next day at 6 am and ensured that I paid an extra day to have my room ready at 6 am, and they confirmed. Once I arrived, the room was not available and we had to wait two hours to check in. But the staff handled it very well and overall we were satisfied. Also one thing I would suggest to add SPF creams and tanning lotions in the Hotel to be able purchase

Rooms were great! Very comfortable. Food was good. Big fan of the Masala Dosa at the breakfast buffet. Gym was well equipped, though a little hard to find. Some more signage would be handy from the main bar.

We did not use the main bar in the Beach Club much as it was too hot. Some fans in here might help provide a bit more comfort. Food from the Tiki Bar could be better. One of our group got a steak sandwich and it was not cooked properly. The Shawarma was OK, but a little plain. The Hotel got our reservation wrong and did not have the 3 x Twin rooms that we booked on the first night. However, they were good enough to put us in the Presidential suite. While the Suite was nice, it still meant that 2 of our group had to sleep in the same bed. SRP 12,000 for the hotel van to pick us up form Galle Train Station was a bit steep.

The room is very spacious, clean, with an awesome bath tub. I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub every day. The pool is big and Dinesh who serves at the pool bar is awesome!

Most of the staff is nice and kind. This morning though was our check-out day, and during breakfast my mother was going to take bread with salami from the buffet since she needs to eat every couple of hours. The restaurant manager (or at least I think he was the manager) came to the table and behaved really aggressive and rude. I tried explaining my mother’s sickness calmly and he did zero effort to understand the situation, he rudely talked over me, interrupted when I was trying to talk, and kept harshly repeating multiple times that if we wanted to get him fired we should take the food. There are so many better ways he could have addressed the situation. We would not come back or recommend Araliya to other guests, family or friends.

I spilt hot choc on the floor By my bed , the person firstly covered it by moving the bedside table, then did not clean all of it, stains of it was still on the floors everyday they never used to clean the toilet and change sheets has the chocolate stain was still on the bed they just used to make the bed. Food is very expensive Entertainment boring I order a meal on their menu with a picture of it, They gave totally something different different I complained they said that is it, so messaged the manager and that’s when I got it
