Good clean rooms provided by a chain hotel. Room was quite small but about normal for city centre hotels in Japan and it included an en-suite bathroom and a kettle. The staff all spoke English and were polite and helpful. A great buffet breakfast with wide selection of dishes is included within the price and one can help oneself to as many sachets of coffee as you want for your room. Location is very good; just 5 minutes walk from the famous castle, which is why people visit Himeji. It is also within easy walking distance of the railway station with a supermarket and restaurants nearby as well. I can highly recommend this hotel

Location: An easy 10-minute walks from the train station and to Himeji Castle. The covered mall for restaurants and shopping around the corner! Amenities: excellent breakfast, rooftop Terrace with vie of the castle, room perks like fridge and bathtub, no gym but $4 for 2 hours nearby. Hint for excellent visit to Castle and Garden: request for a personal, no fee guide thru Castle website. Our English speaking guide even picked us up at hotel. No fee but we took her to lunch and gave a tip. Learned so much in 4-hour tour!

The room was small but clean. Towels could be bigger but it’s different country.

The location was great, within easy reach of the station. Had lifts and staff spoke English. Our room was clean, a reasonable size, and it had a comfy bed, with good en-suite bathroom. At night we had an amazing view of Himeji castle lit up from the room. It was very easy to visit there the next day as the staff stored our luggage safely. Breakfast was good, especially Japanese options. This place was great value for money.

Booked a smoking room by mistake, so in future I would make sure it was non-smoking, due to the lingering smell of tobacco. This is not a criticism though, as some people would appreciate being able to smoke in the room.

Nice room. I liked that the single use stuff was in the lobby and we only took what we needed. I always travel with my own toothbrush and razor, so I see no need for the rooms to be stocked with them.

The pillows. Dammit I hate Japanese pillows; the ones with beans filling sections on the underside of the pillow. I want soft pillows that I can flip and it feels the same job both sides. But there's little that can be done about that, I suppose. And it's a minor complaint.

My room was larger than many hotel rooms I've stayed in in Japan. The hotel location was really convenient as it was close to Himeji Castle and the nearby garden and museums and within walking distance of the train station. The buffet breakfast had a large choice of food and drinks and varied from day to day. The staff was very helpful. I could obtain a lot of useful tourist pamphlets and other information at the hotel. The hotel rooftop area had a view of Himeji Castle and I was able to eat there on a couple of occasions.

We paid for the largest room, which was still great value. We watched the sun set and Himehi light up for the night from the upper balcony. The garden next to castle is interesting. Wing is less that 1km from train station, easy flat walk. The Sanyo Department store near station has a great food hall in the basement. Book with the breakfast if you can.

Very helpful reception staff who helped us park nearby when the hotel's own parking was full, and helped us to buy an additional day's parking whilst we were sightseeing. Went out of their way to provide information to improve our stay. Good location about 10 mins walk from Himeji castle and 15 mins to Himeji station. Clean, good breakfast .

Room was tiny - in fact you couldn't walk around the twin beds when the drop down desk was out.

The location was pretty good, straight road from Himeji station exit is is located between the station and castle. The balcony had a nice view of Himeji castle too. The room is neat and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and easily approachable.

The Aircon/heater maintenance could be done more often, I checked the filter out of curiosity and would say it's about time for maintenance but it works sufficiently. There wasn't any dust or smell coming out from it so it's still in working condition.

The room had a great setup. They had the smart TV directly at the foot of the bed. You can browse Japanese TV stations or just play something off YouTube. It was a cozy room that was just right in every way. It's conveniently located near one of the numerous shōtengai (local market streets) in the area and just a 10-minute walk from Himeji Castle and Kokoen (flower garden next to the castle). It's perfect for exploring the area or even if you plan on touring the nearby prefectures with a JR Pass.

Location: 5 mins walking distance to Himeji castle. Cleanliness: neat and clean Staff: friendly and helpful Facilities: vending machines are available, and you can see Himeji castle from their terrace Breakfast: nothing fancy, but they got fairly good choices with buffet style and it’s quite satisfying. The restaurant attached to the hotel is quite good too. They have choices of local Sake and local delicacy ok their menu. Overall good value for money.

The room is not so spacious.
