The facilities were great. Our room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of counter space for the toiletry bags of two people, not something often found in hotel rooms. The shower was roomy, with plenty of hot water. The room and bath were clean. The view of the harbor and lift bridge was nice. The breakfast area was roomy, and didn't have televisions barking at you; who needs television when you have the harbor to look at? The stairwell was wide and carpeted, a nice touch in an area where many properties cut corners.

The breakfast buffet was adequate: Nothing to complain about, but not going to add any luster to the hotel experience. The location, being across the canal from the business district, had no shops or restaurants to walk to, and could trap you behind a raised bridge when a ship was passing through. Next time, we'll probably look for a room in one of the four hotels in Canal Park, on the city side of the canal.

Accommodating staff, clean facility, smple car parking, lounge to hang out any time of the day & night plus good healty breakfast with tea/coffe 24 hrs around the clock. Our location had pool and exercise room

Not much not to like during our stay

We liked this property because it was so close to the Lift Bridge and Canal park. It was clean and close to places we wanted to go. It was a base for us when we traveled up further north to Split Rock lighthouse and Gooseberry falls and other destinations. This was the second time we have stayed here. The breakfast was good, a nice variety of hot and cold.

The only thing I can really think of that I did not like was that the refrigerator was small and did not have a freezer for our multiple set of ice packs. So we did not have anything to keep our drinks and food cold when we left to go on our excursions.

The breakfast had good options (eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, fruit). Really appreciated the milk, yogurt and bananas.

I wish there was more variety with the egg choices. All three mornings, it was an omelet with peppers. Would have been nice to have scrambled eggs, boiled eggs or a couple of different types of omelets. The sausage biscuit was soggy.

Convenient location and excellent rooms.

Beautiful open windows on first floor rooms opened to a parking lot in front of the otherwise nice harbor view. Had to keep curtains closed due to frequent passersby.

I thought the breakfast was great, good variety too. When we checked in I thought the staff member was not very welcoming. She seemed bothered that we were checking in. The rest of the staff was more friendly. I would definetly stay there again.

One staff member needs to at least smile when helping customers.

I love how nice, clean and cozy the whole place is! The breakfast is wonderful with so many delicious and fresh options! The harbor view is absolutely amazing! The bathroom is nice and clean!

Our daughter suffers from anxiety and sensory overload. There were no disability rooms available, but the person checking us in said that she had a room that was larger than the normal room. We got room 302 and it worked out perfectly. Also by accident we left a few items in the refrigerator, including a small figurine in a takeout box that my daughter uses to settle her anxiety. I called the hotel and a Diana ran up to our room that we had checked out of. The room hadn't been cleaned and Diana was able to secure the items. We went back within the hour (we were on a fishing charter when we discovered the items were still at the hotel) and picked up the items. My daughter was relieved. The staff went above and beyond to help us out. It was a relief to us.

The location was great! The bed was comfortable and it was an amazing view watching the fireworks and ships come in through the lift bridge. It was also fun walking around the small marina seeing the different boats.

The pool is tiny and no hot tub, and the pull out couch bed was really yellow and hard and you could tell they had not cleaned under the couch as it was full of crumbs and garbage 🤢 also comparable in price to hotels near by they had no real amenities. No smores or bonfire and no where to really enjoy outside.

The room was very nice and we had a great view of the harbor in the winter time!

The pool room was really hot. Overall the breakfast was good, but the sausage patties and links were cold.
