We are starting to love bed and breakfasts. The house is absolutely beautiful! The beautiful old floors caught my attention as soon as we walked in. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we were glad we didn't have a ton of luggage to carry up. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. We choose a room with a jacuzzi tub and that was really nice and large. The bed was too hard for me but my husband liked it. The breakfast was yummy and filling. The options were scrambled eggs with cheese and potatoes with everything bagel seasoning. They also always have a waffle maker, toast, bagels and fruit.
The bed was a little too hard but bed comfort is a personal preference. The tub area was dark and could use a light of some kind.

I enjoyed my brief overnight stay there very much. It is something of a step back in time. The way my specific room, the Chesapeake, was decorated caught my attention. There was a little framed display of nautical knots. I thought that I have to give myself a refresher course. I think the addition of one of those folding suitcase holders would be a good touch, and I was a bit surprised by the pillows. Perhaps in an attempt to provide hypoallergenic pillows, encasing them in what felt like shower-curtain material took some getting used to, even if the pillowcase itself was fabric. The bed itself was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was simple yet very well prepared and presented. I hadn't used a waffle maker in a long time. The eggs and sausage were delicious. (In addition to Tabasco, you may wish to try Frank's hot sauce.)
I blend the two above. To continue with one of the individual questions, the amount Booking.com said was the total amount was different from what was charged to me. The difference was not large, only about 10 or 11 dollars, but such discrepancies provide unnecessary questions and distractions. For two other guests, the lack of greater presence of the owners was something of a curiosity, as it was for me.

The house is beautiful. The wood floors and painted rooms are wonderful. The stencil work adds character. The room was cozy. The electric fireplace was a nice touch. Breakfast had a good variety. Staff was friendly.
House needs a little love with peeling paint. Breakfast food was cold. No decaf coffee.

Room was spacious with even a separate sitting area. Jacuzzi big and plenty of linens. View pleasing and breakfast delicious. There is a trail out back and through a wooded area near a creek which we enjoyed.
We didn't mind, but the place is a little past its prime as far as upkeep. The owners are older and it's understandable. The only complaint is the extra tax charge that booking.com did not reveal or know and was not in their quote. So buyer beware. We still haven't gotten a refund for that.

The spacious landscaping helped me to engage my passion for bird watching. I could be inside or outside in the sun room and enjoy the short view. I loved the short walking paths. There were some private areas even if there were a large event crowd. The property was near to Fair Hill Nature Center where I finally finished my 9-year quest to photograph all 50 state birds, each in its home state. Danged oriole was hard to get. I wish it had been on the property but I can't blame host Harry for that.
It wasn't a fresh cooked breakfast unless you consider the self-serve waffle maker "fresh cooked." Parking in front was a bit rustic but I'm a rustic guy so it worked. Some road noise but I guess that's what Easterners get.

The breakfast in the morning sass delicious and food was plentiful. There are two short trails on the property that you can take a short stroll on.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the room was hard to keep cool. Our room had a window air conditioner that was in the bathroom window. It was difficult for the air to make its way into the room to cool it off.

The breakfast was fantastic and included a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, waffles and pastries. The house had so much character and natural light as well as a cozy homey feeling to it. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we really enjoyed relaxing outside on the deck and on the beautiful grounds.
