We absolutely loved our stay at Ringo-no Ki. The owners are genuinely friendly and really do go above and beyond for their guests. The house is exceptionally clean so using the shared bathroom was really not a problem for us. The breakfast (extra fee but definitely worth it!) in the lovely sunlit dining room was very good and the private onsen at the end of the day was amazing (you book your time slot with the owner earlier in the day). The free shuttle to the Happo-One and Guryu ski resorts is a 2 min walk away. There are plenty of great restaurants within a 10min walk. We will stay here again next time for sure :)

It’s a really beautiful property and very well maintained. The rotenburo is excellent after a day of skiing. It’s walkable from the bus station, and there’s a ski pickup across the street. The owner cares a lot about his guests and helps with preparing skis so it’s easy to depart in the morning. The bath and rooms are incredibly clean. We would like to stay again in the future.
I know the owner was only trying to help, however he strongly discouraged me from using a taxi, and guided me to carry my bags to the resort for departure. This was very heavy and caused more stress. I understand that taxis are busy as I visit Hakuba several times each year. Please feel free to make recommendations, but don’t make decisions for guests.

Cannot thank the owner enough for his hospitality. He was so lovely and kind despite a language barrier and wanted us to have the best experience he took any opportunity to do that. Just note when booking that while you can have a basic interaction it is best to brush up on some Japanese before staying here to help you explain or ask anything. The free onsen experience was absolutely beautiful and was so well needed after a long day of travelling. Rooms were nice and the whole place was tidy and warm. You must note that there are not individual showers in rooms so not ideal if you are keen on immediately jumping in the shower. I would definitely recommend staying here

I had an amazing stay here during my ski trip! The room was cozy, spotless, and well-maintained, with a charming outdoor onsen where I could soak while gazing at the moon—truly a relaxing experience. What made it even more special was the incredible hospitality of the host. They were so warm and attentive, offering us tea and taking care of every detail. The next morning, they even gave us a ride to the ski resort. A five-star experience all around!

Hosts were amazing. So kind and generous. Fun to try to communicate (enough english to get by!). Graciously drove me to the bus station to drop my bags and to the lift to pick up my board on my last day. The private onsen was nice, as well.
Beds weren't the comfiest, to be honest. That was my primary pain point, but otherwise not really a bad word to say. Little further from the mountain than if you stayed right in Happo One, but it was close enough to not be a huge pain (the bigger pain is taxis!)

Ringo-Noki is the most beautiful little Lodge, with only around 6 rooms, in Hakuba run by the very lovely couple of Yoshi-San and his wife Kayo. Everything was perfect about this place, the decoration, the service provided by Yoshi and Kayo, the delicious breakfast, the cleaness, the beautiful onsen to use everyday after a full day of activities. When arriving you were directly greeted with tea and the stunning common area. All rooms also have coffee and tea for you to make and use at your convenience. Right next to the lodge is the bus stop for the free shuttle and within walking distance you have several nice and delicious restaurants, cafés and bakery and other shops. Can highly recommend this location.

I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Upon arrival, Yoshi and his wife made the place feel very homely. We were greeted so kindly and given some tea to sip on by the fireplace, as we were checking in. The whole house is super cute and our room was serviced daily and kept extremely clean. The shared shower and outdoor onsen is an amazing experience which my partner and I loved. We also added on breakfast each morning, made by Yoshi. I would highly recommend trying his breakfast! It was always super delicious, he would make his own bread. There was also eggs, with some salad, and some fruit, some yoghurt too and there was always some juice and coffee to help yourself too also. Super healthy and delicious! Overall we felt super looked after and cared for. On our last day, Yoshi even gave us a lift to the Hakuba station. Thank you very much for your hospitality Yoshi, you made our trip! We would definitely come back, and stay here again!

Excellent accommodation. Yoshi and his wife are the nicest people you will ever meet. They made me feel so welcome and I had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their accommodation is immaculate. I especially enjoyed having a relaxing outdoor hot bath after skiing all day. The breakfast was absolutely delicious including eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, and freshly baked bread with homemade jam. My room was really comfortable and warm. It's an easy 10min walk to the restaurants and ski shops in Echo Land. There was a bus stop only 40mts away which will take you to Happo One, Iwatake, Goryu, and Hakuba 47 resorts. I hope to stay again one day soon.

This is the most wonderful place - we miss it already! Yoshi and his wife Kayo are endlessly hospitable, their attention to detail is so warm and comfortable. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast, the indoor and outdoor baths are incredible, every question we had was answered with care and kindness. The accomodation is also just around the corner from the shuttle stop to take you around the valley and it’s a ten minute gorgeous walk into Echoland. I really hope to get back to Pension Ringo-no Ki soon in the future, it was a delightful week

It was basically next to the bus stop to get to any of the 3 main ski mountains so very convenient. A private onsen that we could use daily. The hosts are next level amazing. Yoshi didn’t seem to ever stop from waking to sleeping (if he slept at all) and were so helpful and generous, even getting our ski gear up from the drying room for us. The property was always clean and warm and the rooms are all you need when you’re out most of the day skiing etc.
Nothing- aside from maybe guilt about how hard the hosts work!
