A microwave in room would have been helpful. It wasn't clear the parking was not included, was told at the desk would have to pay . . .fine. But then the machine at the entrance seemed broke and I proceeded to park. Wasn't clear if i was charged extra, but that was a bit confusing. (though thanks for the free parking if i wasn't charged.)

Parking facility was great - easy access from the garage to the rooms. Location was great for working the next day in Washington, DC as I was driving in and out of town.

I was disappointed with the breakfast service. I turned up for breakfast but no one greeted me or showed me what to do. So I found a seat - there were no cleared tables for 1 or 2 people so I sat at a table for 2 that had dirty crockery still at it. No one attended to me so I got up and got a menu off the counter. Still no one came. After 10 mins I gave up and went to Starbucks for breakfast instead which was great and just a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was included in my room rate but I didn't get it. This was my one bad experience at the hotel.

The breakfast menu had a very good range of offerings, from hearty omelettes and bacon-and-eggs to fruit bowls. The breakfast was always served by cheerful staff, especially Domingo (Hope I spelled it right, he's from Senegal). The location is perfect, right in Friendship Heights, with the Metro a few minutes' walk away. The rooms are very large, comfortable and welcoming, and clearly provide for business travellers to work in the room, if that is required.

I'm disappointed that there is, as far as I could make out, no laundry facilities (The Hilton Garden Inn down the road from the hotel has an excellent laundry, perfect for visitors staying for more than a few nights). Also their rooms have microwaves as well as refrigerators,

One elevator wasn't working for the entire stay. The first room were given had a faulty door, so they needed to give us a new room. As soon as they had gotten us out of the faulty room, they promptly assigned it to the next guest who we saw bitterly complaining about the malfunctioning door. Very poor attitude on that member of the staff! Everyone else was very kind and helpful.

Great option if you are around the D.C. area! The hotel is conveniently located a couple blocks from Friendship Heights metro station and is close to restaurants and grocery stores. Our room was nice and clean thhroughout our whole stay. Extra points for the free coffee and cookies at the lobby!

The bathtub was tiny and water pressure quite low, so showering was not as pleasant as it could be. The quality of the toiletries provided by the hotel could also be improved. Apart from the Keurig, a kettler in the rooms would be nice.

The breakfast menu was all-American-hearty, lots of omelettes and eggs every way, with a lot of fruit offerings as well. I always look forward to the friendly smiling faces of the staff as they offer coffee and juice first thing. Service is quick and attentive.

The only downside was the American breakfast practice of only using streaky bacon, and incinerating it before serving, but after decades of travelling in the USA I’m used to that now.

The atmosphere around this area is nice. The people at the front desk and housekeepers were very polite and kind. Friendship Heights station of the metro is less than three blocks away.

No bathtubs. Japanese people want toilets with washlets, that is, luxury toilet seats with electronic bidet functionality, which are common in Japan. I want more reasonable restaurants around here.

Conveniently located close to DC. Spent the day in DC and wanted an inexpensive overnight stay and The Courtyard by Marriott came through. From my first step into the facility the staff was pleasant and informative. The room was clean and comfortable. Best part was the late checkout especially when you are not a morning person. You can't find that anywhere else. Will definitely be back.

Didn't like that there was no microwave in the room but that was alleviated when I was told there was a microwave in the marketplace. That saved me some money, I was able to heat up my left overs.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family as our base to visit D.C. downtown. It was 25-30 minutes drive to get the downtown are but it will depend on traffic. You can easily find nice restaurants and bards in Bethesda downtown area. It was a bit challenging for me to drive from the hotel to D.C. downtown as Washington road traffic network is such tricky and busy though, I can tell you my decision to use this hotel as a base was right. Hotels and restaurants in the downtown are expensive. Lobby and room were nice. A hotel clerk at the lobby was very kind, professional, and helpful.

I felt parking space was small and narrow but I found out it was normal in D.C. If you don't like parking building, you can also find a parking area behind the hotel building. We parked there after we found it. It was much easier than parking inside building.

The was very spacious and comfortable

I didn't like the fact that I didn't have a bathtub which in the description of the room, it states there is a bathtub. Also there was an unsettling amount of hair on the floor of the bathroom as well as in the shower. I also didn't like that they didn't have a microwave. And they state that they don't have a pool but they do in fact have a pool.
