The place was clean the location was the best. Everything nearby especially Checkers. I was so thrilled to see it. The first group very near to the beach as well. Very pretty as well. Very good pictures that we took.

The maintenance people are not proactive when you call them. We waited for more than 18hours for our toilet to be fixed that was not really good was not Impressed by their service. The house was smelly because of the toilet we couldn't make breakfast we had to order but we had everything already bought which was unnecessary expenditure because of the smell. We called reception more than x10 times to report they kept on saying he is coming. No water and toilet we couldn't flush. That was a poor service delivery from them

The location was awesome. The room was clean, . Very central and close to restaurants and shops

When we arrived, they couldn't find our booking. After 20 minutes of waiting, they gave us our key, only to ask for it back in a few seconds, to check if the room was clean. Thereafter, they couldn't locate our undercover parking, . The following day, we were told that we aren't entitled to breakfast, even though our booking was for bed AND breakfast. We had to show them the email, as proof. Very upsetting. Thereafter, on the second last day, we were told to vacate the room as we are checking out. Once AGAIN, I had to show proof that our booking was until the Saturday. and not Friday. Again, very upsetting.

Everything is on the property, and the location is excellent. The generator during load shedding was a huge plus!! The food is amazing and very affordable. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly. The Spa was great too, massage was awesome.

They advertised Gluten Free pasta on their website, but when we ordered, they didn't have any.

We had a fantastic view as usual. Service was excellent. Staff are wonderful. Cannot fault these criteria.

The condition of the furniture in the room was not up to scratch. The headboard was in bad condition and needs urgent attention. The bathroom needs attention whereby accessories such as handle on over the bath shower. Parts missing. The ceiling in the bathroom was partially handing open over the bath/shower area. I have to say that all this was reported at reception when leaving.

Location, view, seafood restaurant, facilities, cocktails, room. Staff was very friendly. Spa facilities was amazing and staff so very professional, wish I could return there every day.

Waited past check in time for our room and even had to ask cleaners to hurry up as they were still busy and hour after check in time. We arrived early and at 11h00 reception already asked cleaners to try and accommodate us earlier, but unfortunately it did not happen!!!! The internal phone lines was a disaster especially trying to order something from restaurant and bar reception did confirm that something was wrong, this however did carry on for the 3 days that we were there. Suggestion to put more toilets in the entertainment/swimming pool area. Suggestion to cover small patio on the self catering units as there are no solid roof for when it rains, so you cant use the barbeque outside.

All the activities present as well as the staff being so understanding and helpful. All the available facilities, as well as the room upgrades, are a much welcome improvement from the last visit. The cleanliness as well as the service is exceptional. This area has grown into an economic powerhouse boosting business and attendance in the area. It's a one-stop shop for anything family related. Quick access to general stores and restaurants galore. The in-house restaurant shows great quality for sure as well.

We didn't like the bed as there was an uncomfortable joinery of 2 beds in our suite. Unfortunately, there was too much noise in the early hours right outside the room, and access to the beach was not as available due to the sheer volume of people accessing the beach. Not the restful location it once was.

Prime location and very convenient set-up, with restaurants, spa, and entertainment onsite. The establishment is 'aging', and can do with a 'revamp', or at least to fix broken tiles, paint the dirty walls etc. Proper signage is needed at the pool area, to avoid confusion about what seems to be a jacuzzi, where use is actually prohibited.

Reception staff can be upskilled to be friendlier and more competent in their efforts, providing basic! customer service. Small units do not have a small stove like the bigger units, even though 'self-catering'. This can be explained better beforehand.

Looove the location, beach front, loved my beach walks and the sound of the sea at night 🥰Loved the pool and pool area, the lights and palm tree views are absolutely stunning at night. Nice bathrooms the rooms look renovated & modern which is nice. Slept with our door open and woke up to some monkeys in the room that was very funny surprise 😆🤭(a warning to others to take note of the monkeys) actually nice 😊 the waiters were very friendly infact all the staff cleaning and maintenance and kitchen. Very lovely people

We absolutely loved our stay in La Montagne! The view from the room was perfect, the facilities and activities on site were more than adequate and we especially loved the easy access and closeness to the boardwalk and beach. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating for all our extra needs. Prices in the hotels and bars were very reasonable and overall stay was one of the best we have ever had. Will definitely be back again and again!

I can understand the differences between hotel star ratings and therefore I will not use the following pointers to complain about but rather to highlight some minor inconveniences that could be improved on: The biggest inconvenience by far though which I would really like to see improved on by the next visit, was the key cards which had to be re-activated almost every day, even cards that had just been re-activated. Secondly, having one lift for the rooms on the East side was sure to motivate us to exercise a little more than necessary by taking the stairs or enhance our patience in waiting for the lift which could take some time to arrive on our floor. Lastly and not a biggie, was the constant leaking of water in the corridor on the floor we stayed.
