Location is good. The room was very clean, spacious and had a nice large balcony with a table and chairs. Linen was white and clean and towels were provided daily. There was a small bathroom which had a toilet, basin and shower and a second bathroom with a bath/shower, toilet and basin. The unit has a fridge, microwave, stove and oven available should you want to cook as it is self catering. Views were pretty, a little bit of the ocean is visible and the pools and garden.

Noise levels in the room next to us, loud music until midnight and shouting on the top of their voices there was clearly a party going on in the room next to us. We called reception to twice and after the first time the noise still continued, called at midnight again and it was a lot calmer after security visited them again. Also when people walk past your room and scream while walking past or speak loudly. It would be nice if people took others into consideration and realised they are in a hotel and not at home. Not much in terms of restaurants in the hotel, also no halaal options you have to go out for that.

Day of check out: staff banged on door 3 times within a 20 min time frame for us to leave. We were already packed and ready to go but our 6 month old was sleeping so we were prepping him also. Check out is 10:00 am, too early. We left at 10:30 as we took a bit longer to gather our belongings and our baby, even then, a guy was standing outside our door waiting for us to leave and our card was locked out so we couldn't open the door again. We stayed the for 5 nights and 6 days so this treatment was pathetic from the staff on the day of Check out Only 2 coffees and 2 teabags given for a 5night stay

Loved the pool with the slides to entertain the kids, the location is excellent as can walk to the beach

Staff and neighbors are extremely noisy late into the night and early morning. No enforcement of no noise after 10pm. Depends on which unit you have. Hooting for entry of exit to parking lot very early morning wakes everyone. Unit appears clean but window sills ,draws, and under the beds were unclean with items still from precious guests and even a staff walky talky found.

The board walk along the sea in to town was amazing. Pool facilities were also very good

We had a water pressure issue in the shower ... a trickle of water. Had maintenance out who left the floor dirty! Had to wash hair in kitchen sink and also pay at the hair dresser to get it done! My husband eventually took off the shower head and gave it a good clean ... it was so blocked! Any good maintenance person will know that it gets blocked and needs to be cleaned regularly because of the type of water ... not great at a resort of this caliber! At least the next visitors to the unit will have a great shower!

The activities for all kids and adults were great. Pool slides a real winner.

Monkeys can be a bit of a nuisance.

They gave us room 701 to start with, until we complained about the drilling and knocking above us. Why do they allocate rooms that have DIY being done, vtjat they know will inconvenience customers. We 7npackwd all our stuff then had to repack everything to move to a higher floor. Not good when you're a pensioner. We had just driven 7 hours and just wanted to get settled in and relax. 😠

Proximity to the beach and hike trial, quite beach, views, the hydro spa, friendly service.

Its always a hit, and sometimes a miss with some of the rooms because they not all the same, and individually owned, unfortunately sometimes you get a bad one, this time it was good. Unfortunately the bathtub/ shower is to small with a very low roof and shower head and he couldn't stand shower as you can place two feet next to eachother as its to narrow,, i also had some trouble even though im a smaller person. The wrist band thats compulsory to wear during the stay is not great, as we had a formal event on and to wear the club tags...

The location is excellent with easy access to the beach and the walkways. Also good ccess to supermarkets and shopping malls. The check in process is very efficient.

The cleaning staff start work quite early. Unfortunately, there is a fair amount of noise early in the morning. Some of this can be avoided if staff are advised not to communicate with each other by shouting from room to room.

The location is great; it is literally on the beach, and that is what I was there for. They have a bar and restaurant downstairs, and a pool that is great for a night swim.

I didn't know before getting there that it's a non-smoking RESORT. You are not even allowed to smoke on the balcony. There is one room all the way downstairs and past the restaurant where you can smoke and nowhere else. The TV works but you have to bring your own logins for Netflix and the likes. The night I arrived it was cold and reception said there are no heaters and I should just use the extra blanket.

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Facilities are great with loads of things to do to keep you busy. It is a good walk to the lighthouse and centre of Umhlanga but not strenuous along the promenade and eateries avaliablein other hotels along the prom for refreshments. Lovely little cafe along the boardwalk when turning left out the beach entrance.

Not a problem but would need to drive or get a taxi into town center in the evenings. Hotel bar closes a bit too early @ 17.30 Were given the option of a smoking room on booking but on arrival we were told it was a non-smoking hotel and had to go outside to a smoking location. Would receive a fine if we smoked on the balcony.
