Location is fabulous right at the bottom of camps bay. Views are stunning! The grounds are very well Maintained and you feel in a different world with lots to explore. Staff are very attentive. Breakfast is amazing and nice to be able to order off a menu. We loved staying in the pods but if you are a couple would suggest they are only suitable for a couple of nights if you are visiting the area. For longer stays of two people or more I would suggest the main hotel or the accompanying accommodation options at the top of the property. Be aware if you are in the pods it’s a hike every morning to breakfast but at least you earn it!

We had a few issues with leaks and safe not working but these were addressed as soon as they were raised.

A special shoutout goes to Sizwe, whose impeccable service made our meals even more memorable. Moreover, we were impressed by the tranquil beauty of the grounds. It provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. We found ourselves immersed in nature's serenity, which was exactly what we needed after a long flight. The proximity to shops and restaurants along the Camps Bay beachfront was another highlight. We enjoyed exploring the area and witnessing the breathtaking sunsets—a true treat for the senses. And let's not forget about the on-site spa! It was a haven of relaxation, and we indulged in some well-deserved pampering after our journey. I loved the gardens and the landscaping. The forest pods were an interesting change of accommodation. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, and the breakfast was excellent.

Traffic noise in the room was more than i expected. We stayed in pod 1 and there is a bit of an eyesore - there's a nursery behind the pod, and it's not so great for privacy, and takes away from the forest feel. There are also a lot of stairs to the pods so accessibility is limited to people who can walk stairs comfortably.

The staff working in the reception and restaurant is very nice and welcoming. The place is very beautiful and it exceed my expectations. The Garden, the view, the pools, the room, the paddle play ground ... They have different prices , and they care for attention. Recommended

It was very windy and we couldn't enjoy the beach. The showers didn't have much water

We were very happy to have choices for breakfast. Staff are very friendly. We were very happy with the service we received from Muneeb and Andrew has such great positive energy about him.

When we booked the hot tub it was a little chaotic with waiting for our gowns, etc.. But the experience exceeded expectations thank you.

The room I was given was not a Forest Pod but a room in the Retreat main property. The room was nice and closer to pools and Retreat restaurant but less private. I was disappointed that I didn't get what the pictures looked like but it ended up being fine. Positives to the room that the Pod wouldn't have had.

Beautiful accommodation, love the fact that we could go for forest walks/trails on the property, and get to the beach easy the views are amazing.

The container room did get hot during the day and needs a aircon, the fan did not do the job to cool it down. The blender was broken at the restaurant so most of the drinks menu for cocktails amd milkshakes could not be made, and the tiramisu dessert we order was not good at all was mostly just whipped cream than a actual tiramisu my wife was disappointed as that is he favorite dessert.

The property is fantastically placed for Camps Bay. The staff were so friendly and the welcome drink on arrival was fabulous.

The only comment was that the camping pod was quite cold at night so a heater or additional blankets would have been appreciated

Blissful stay in Cape Town. In the amazing garden of a luxurious five star hotel. Great ground for sunbathing by the pool, amazing massage at the spa, complimentary afternoon tea. Great location for walking to camps bay beach and bars

Yes, WiFi is non existent if you’re staying in one of the Pods, but there is WiFi in and near the big building. Also: why stay connected? You’re on a break!
