Perfect Guest house to start your journey in SA. I arrived early in the morning and they prepared my room earlier so that I could have a rest after a night flight from Europe. The personnel is soo nice, helped me sort out my SA simcard. Rooms are neatly furnished, clean, there was an AC but I didn't need it - nice breeze from the outside. The location is just around the corner from the Melville bars/restaurants street. Getting to downtown by uber, I think it was about 90 Rand. From airport the best is to use uber as well (300 rand). Breakfast was plenty with eggs bacon, cereal ...

Beautiful hideaway that I used as an overnight stay. I was welcomed so nicely with warm embrace and beautiful smiles. My late check-in was accommodated. The room I booked, classic double room, was exactly what I got. Clean and offer a clean blanket for extra warmth, a little bar fridge and a coffee/tea set, and a TV with Dstv channels and a stable wifi connection. The bathroom was spacious and clean, shower/bath option. I love the side lamps and the charging sockets within reach. In the morning, I realized what beauty this accommodation has, an absolutely gorgeous garden and a clean pool that I will come back for next time and safe area. I went for breakfast and again was greeted with beautiful smiles and attention to detail. I chose the omelet that I so loved. It was also warm as they put on a fire. They also offered to keep my bags while I moved around after check out. I loved my short stay.

Only that I prefer Netflix over dstv. But I was able to watch on my phone, and the WiFi did not disappoint Overall, there is nothing much that I didn't like. I'm happy.

The room was very comfortable and the other premises (the restaurant area and the courtyard with a garden) were super well-maintained and pleasant. Helpful and friendly staff, and great free breakfast consisting of 2 courses (one with yoghurt and muesli and the other with a warm dish such as an omelette).

We had no issues with our one night stay. If you are a light sleeper, the music from the nearby parties could disturb you (we stayed on Saturday so we could hear some music but it wasn’t a problem for us).

This was the best place we stayed at in our 2 months in South Africa. The room is beautiful, and the host is so much into the small details, having home made wine as a welcome in our bedroom and the decoration exceeding our expectations. The smile of the staff is so unique, she was super welcoming and always giving us really happy positive vibes.

It’s located in a very party/restaurant location so you could hear a bit of noise from the bars and our room neighbors were there not to rest. But this is no fault of the hotel and años we were there in a Friday night.

84 on Fourth is a fun place, right in the heart of Melville, a short walk from some tasty restaurants. The vibe is nice with beautiful flowers in the front and a very nice garden in the back. Zorana, Mags, Sabello, and Kats made us feel right at home. Mags made us delicious breakfasts and always greeted us by name. Staying at this guest house made us feel immediately connected to the true spirit of Johannesburg.

We enjoyed our stay; the hosts were very responsive to any requests.

Little gem in Joburg which is perfect as a starting point to explore the city. The garden is very sweet, if you have time to relax you can enjoy the silence. Breakfast is very tasteful, you have three hot options every morning beside cold breakfast. Staff is amazing, thanks again for keeping our luggage safe 7ntik our evening departure.

The walls in our room have been wet which ends up with some of our luggage was wet as well. But we didn’t mind too much since we went back home after our stay

Great,safe location with bars, 2 small shops, and a restaurant nearby - Bambalino. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with my later check in. The room was spacious, well equipped (refrigerator and rea/coffee making facilities) and with an ensuite bathroom and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. They are able to assist with airport transfers.

I was hesitant at first but actually ended loving the African theme of the property. The staff is beyond amazing and the place is clean. The breakfast was okay. Overall, great hospitality skills.👏🏽

Room 6’s aircon made the room stuffy and smelling like someone just lit up a cigarettes when on a high temperature. I however quickly got sorted out by amazing Maggie, giving me another room.

Breakfast was consistently excellent. Owner and staff (Z and Maggs) bent over backwards to make sure everything was done to make our stay as good as possible. The room had everything to make the stay comfortable (TV, aircon, wifi, every electrical plug possible, and consumables like tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo etc.). Even had washing done and car washed. Special people at a special place.

The place is like a hidden garden,feels very peaceful inside, the neighborhood is safe and around the guest house there are liitle shops ,bars,super market..You can easily call your uber here too,it's centric but not in the middle of the city so it feels secure and quite.Ps:the breakfast is yummy!Specially the lady in the kitchen is amazing!Thank you very much for your non-stop smiling face and for your delicious breakfast!

Next to our room there's another room which was empty the first day but the last day at night a couple came in which is normal of course but either they were noisy or just because the rooms were next to eachother it was quite disturbing to hear them at night.
