Friendly and helpful staff, location perfect

Parking is very difficult as the parking area is very small and does not cater for large vehicles

Good location, secure parking. Room was big and as in the photos. Beautiful view out over the sea and the balcony had seats and loungers so we could enjoy the weather.

Described as ‘air con’ but it was a ceiling fan. There were two sets of curtains but they still let light in so we woke very early each day. Our room was located right beside reception/breakfast area so we could also hear a lot of noise every morning as they prepared things. We would recommend asking for a room further away. Staff very helpful but we asked for laundry and it took ages and was still given back to us damp - so we had to take it in a plastic bag to our next hotel and dry it ourselves. Charged us £10 which would have been okay for the amount but would have preferred it was dry!

The view is great and the rooms are really nice. The host who showed us our room was nice and eager to help. There is a free shuttle to the harbour you can book in advance, since there is no Uber. We did not use it though and walked while there was still daylight. (Not the nicest walk though, wouldn't recommend.)

Somehow we did not quite feel at home here. We felt like the staff was lacking passion for their job. The parking situation is quite challenging. Not very much fun for unexperienced drivers, but manageable. The breakfast service was very slow, there was no coffee until we were already finished and it seemed like the buffet was not ready yet. To sum it up: The place is nice but the staff needs a motivation boost. :)

Great view from the balcony, pretty and clean room, welcome drinks were a nice touch. Helpful staff who let us in quite late in the evening. Amazing breakfast with the view.

The bed is too short. I’m 167 cm tall but it was too short even for me let alone my husband. No one warned us about the time of load shedding, so it caught me in the middle of a shower. The parking is tricky. Luckily, we were driving a small car. Don’t know how it can be possible with a bigger car. No restaurants serving food open after 8-9 pm. KFC was the hero of the night.

The location was good for the town apart from the big hill up again if you walked. It was in a safe location and had glorious views. We were fortunate and had a sea view and large balcony. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good too and plenty of it if wanted.

We were parked in the top section of the guest house which was very tight to get in and out of. It did have covered parking to keep the sun off and it was gated so was very safe but like I said very tight.

Fantastic place lovely staff shame I had to pay more than I was quoted by Booking.com. Pool is not large but as I was the only person using it I found it great.

Unfortunately would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to the stairs. Also you need transport to get to the guest house as its on a steep hill. Pool could have done with a clean. WiFi did not work in my room although prior to booking I had read that this had been sorted in all rooms.

The ocean views were absolutely over the top. The room was huge, comfortable, safe, and the breakfast was excellent as well. It was an easy walk down the hill to shop, see the museums, and go to the ocean. We did take the free shuttle back from one of the ocean restaurants because we didn't want to walk all the way uphill after dinner. Could not have been happier with our stay. Ask the Aquamarine Guest House how to organize a free return ride from the beach restaurants.

The best experience in many years of travel. A big room in an old but well-renovated and comfortable house. A great balcony with a beautiful sea view. A good bed, a big and comfortable shower, and a well-sized bath. Well stocked with showers and high-quality soaps and gels. Good and easy access to the room. There was a compliment drink and welcome sweets when we checked in. Exceptionally good breakfast. Nice swimming pool downstairs. Very friendly staff. Easy walking access to most attractions in Mossel Bay

There was a problem with drainage in the shower. The parking is a bit awkward (there is a written help however). You exit straight onto a busy street so must exercise some caution.

We stayed in the apartment 200m from the main Guest House - it was a great space, with fabulous views overlooking Santos Beach. The room itself had air con, fan, v comfy bed and a garage to park our car. The breakfast was served in the main guest house - which was plentiful of yoghurt, fruit, cooked breakfast, pastries and cereals. A short walk down the hill you could be on the beach or a short drive down into Mossel Bay town. The shuttle service offered was a great touch for ease too (thanks to Paul!)

The room was very large, with a huge clean well-kept bathroom including separate shower/corner bath and two sink basins. The beds were well presented and very comfortable. There was a kitchen area and lots of wardrobes and storage which we did not make use of but were impressed by. A secure safe inside the wardrobe was well received, as well as the temperature control/ air conditioning. What really made this place exceptional was the large balcony with deck chairs and a parasol overlooking glorious views of the bay. Our check in was simple with an intercom to allow you into the reception area. The staff were very friendly with plenty of information about the area with things to do, places to eat and a free shuttle service which will take you from hotels to bars/restaurants and vice versa. The staff also greeted you with fresh juice on arrival which was greatly appreciated considering the long journey.

After our first night there we came back to find our room was unlocked. Housekeeping had been in and done a thorough job of cleaning the room but unfortunately left the keys in the back door to the balcony and had failed to lock up our room before leaving, putting our belongings at risk. Upon finding this we went to reception to return the housekeepers keys and explain that our room had been left unlocked. The lady at reception - whilst friendly - just said "OK" and took the keys from us. There may very well have just simply been a communication breakdown here. It was likely just a one off mistake and our stay was otherwise very good.
