Location convenience. Nice setting overlooking the ocean

On my last stay there, the one before this for which I was not asked for a review somehow, I had booked and paid for a sea view room. When I checked in the lady at reception gave me an old room in the rear. The hotel was empty btw. When I showed her my reservation that showed a sea view room, she said I must take it up with booking.com because her system showed a standard room. I had to demand she call management. When a manager appeared she started talking to him in Xhosa. I told her she was rude, to address him in English in my presence. They acceded to my demand reluctantly

I really loved the Breakfast. It had tons of choice, and the staff went over and above the expectations to make the stay superb. The rooms were simple, small but very Clean and comfortable.

The room I stayed in had decor and finishings which felt a little old and outdated, but not horrible in any way. Also, rooms are extremely small compared to previous places I have stayed. This might be how they want it to feel, and maybe just not my taste. It still would not dissuade me to stay, since the staff were so excellent.

Breakfast and snacks were great, and the room very comfortable, plenty hot water too! The terrace was really lovely, with a spectacular view and the pool was sparkling. All waitrons were very friendly and helpful, especially Lindile, he provided a speedy service when serving snacks and drinks on the terrace and in the bar area. We relaxed on the terrace on both days we stayed at the hotel, and the covered terrace area is ideal for alfresco dining, which is protected from the wind. My brother visited us whilst we stayed at the hotel and we enjoyed some cocktails and drinks in the bar. We also enjoyed our short walk to the beach area and tidal pool. Shops and other restaurants are also close-by. We definitely would recommend the hotel for a short stay in PE.

A ramp is required up to the rooms and hotel facilities - my elderly mother was with us and she struggled with the steep stairs. A TV in the rooms would also be useful for catching up on news and sports, however there are 2 TVs in the bar area which was helpful. Would not recommend hotel for elderly or disabled people.

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble,the reception was welcoming.

A lady who was unfriendly when we arrived in the evening,I'm not sure about the name,but her facial expression was not welcoming at all,the guys gave us excellent service,in the morning we were served breakfast by friendly ladies & gentlemen.

I have stayed at many guest houses and hotels before. The Kelway's staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is central and close to the beach, take aways and not far from Boardwalk mall. Breakfast was a variety every day with fresh fruit on daily basis. The rooms were clean and quiet. Whatever we needed was provided by the staff and I want to than Ruan the manager and Daniell in restaurant for their special care and assistance. I will definitely stay there again.

Perhaps a small bar fridge can be provided for the rooms.Our aircon did not work propperly but the manager assisted us with this regard.

The receptionists, both day & night, in the morning, the lady was so friendly, making sure we did not get hustle as our Credit card was giving me headache, smiling as if she knows us. The guy during the night, was very calm and cooperating, remember forgetting my key inside the room., that guy helped us soo quickly, within a minute we were inside, you have a great team, really they are the real face of the business

We loved the location of the hotel and the homely feel of it. Parking was great and not far from amenities and surrounding places of interest and restaurants. The view was wonderful from the hotel and loved you breakfast.

Our room at 25 was exposed to a terrible noise on one night and we could not sleep. It apparently had to do with the infrastructure located next to room 25...The receptionist was very calm and understanding and moved us to another room during the night and we stayed there until our departure. Although I could not fall asleep again, my husband snored for the rest of the night.

The beds were comfortable. The room was generally nice. The initial room that was allocated to us had an unbearable cigarette smell and we complained.. We were moved to another room.

The throw had stains - seems like it was not fresh / changed after use by previous guests. . Also, their lift - you have to hold the floor button until you get to your destination. It is also very slow.

Breakfast is full english 10/10, location close to the beach & restaurants 10/10, room was warm & has aircon 8/10, staff & service 10/10, wheelchair friendly 10/10, dining area has beautiful views 10/10, serves lunch & dinner 10/10

Bed was a bit hard 8/10, facility has a lift to some rooms & others rooms only have stairs 6/10

Family hotel close to Summerstrand beaches. Helpful staff. Nice bar and terrace and a very good breakfast.

Just a little tired in the rooms - big balcony in ‘honeymoon suite’ but just 2 chairs and coffee table on it - sunbeds would be nice too. Huge bath tub but useless as water pressure so low and drought regulations meaning it’s not really acceptable to use it (decent shower).
