The location and facilities at Doolhof are amazing. Perfect for a combination of rest, but also with a stunning restaurant and plenty of trails for active people. The Spa that you can book to your room is incredible.

The only 2 downers for me are in the tents. Not the way they look, the actual facility or the incredible view 1.) The pillows were pap and made sleeping well hard. The small fridge in our unit's freezer top was broken off. We didn't realise that we should not fully pack the fridge as full as we did and unfortunately some items froze and then went bad like our watermelon, lettuce etc.

Beautiful location set in an amazing valley on a stunning Wine Estate. The tents are just as described and certainly the best I’ve ever stayed in. My wife is not a fan of ‘camping’ but was thrilled with our room, which to be honest is more of a chalet/apartment covered in canvas! Contact from the hosts was quick and very helpful. We had Braii baskets which were plentiful and tasty and made good use of the hot tub. It’s not complicated or difficult as some of the reviews may suggest, if you can light a fire and keep it stoked you can manage it. And yes, obviously it takes a little while to heat up - that’s just the mechanics of a wood fired tub. We had ours lovely and hot within about 1.5 hrs and lasted for several hours watching stars under a clear sky.

I get that it’s a working farm and life must go on, but the workers can be a bit loud early in the morning. They need to be more conscious that canvas is not very sound proof, and it wasn’t the machines that bothered us but more the loud shouting across to each other over the machine noise.

Great open gras field with great Mountain View. Perfect location for hiking, mtb ((e-) mtb bike can be rented on site) and whine tasting. Tent is very cosy and has everting needed. Hot tob is fun. Prepare for cold hot tub though as it takes at least 5 hours to warm up and requires at least a full bag of wood (which we think is pretty high impact for a plunge). Very friendly receipt by George and his colleagues

Sensitive for noise with tents located closely next to eachother. Not a problem if you are lucky with the neighbours:)

The location is perfect and it's very peaceful and quiet. It's almost like living on a farm, in the morning you can hear the tractors driving around on the farm. At night time the sky is so beautiful you can see all the stars, perfect for astrophotography. Inside the tent there is a fireplace for the cold evening's. The hot tub was the best part, we didn't want to get out of it!!! We Loved it

Not much everything was perfect, wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing that we didn't like is the dishes that wasn't cleaned properly but, that is not an issue for us. We enjoyed it very much

We loved the view, the braai space and the hot tub :) The shower was also really nice and big with great water pressure and warm water. Very comfortable beds too. No load-shedding was an added bonus.

A very minor issue, but there was little privacy with the toilet being very close to both rooms. An additional outside toilet for those with "stage fright" might be useful (even if shared by all the tents, but a short distance away from all tents)

The location is an absolute delight. Lazing in the hot-tub with the afternoon sun lighting up the mountains was picture postcard perfect. And then, after sunset, to watch the star light up the sky and track satellites was even more amazing. Christelle and her team were amazing - they were attentive, friendly and efficient

Everything. This place was just perfect. The view is immaculate. The complimentary wine tasting offered was amazing. Perfect place to relax in the middle of nature. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely staff too.

Would be great if they provided hand filters to clean the hot tub if the need arises.

The location is stunning. The hot tub was fun and the whole experience was great. Excellent host, George, so accommodating and friendly and welcoming. Restaurant Mila, is amazing. Lovely food, had breakfast and a lunch there and really enjoyed both. Wine tasting was fun and included in the cost of the booking.

Such a relaxing place Doolhof. Hot water. Great pressure showers. Best beds. Awesome hottub. Best “camping” experience of my life. Kitchen has everything in it. Scenery breathtaking. Bonus. Brand new built tented camp.

WiFi could be better Not a train smash.

The smell of the bathroom was off-putting. The unit we had had a broken zip o tent and fireplace front cover was broken off.
