The guesthouse lived up to the expectations set by reading other people's comments. Very clean. Convenient location. Helpful, friendly staff. I hope to stay here again one day.

I like how Steven entertained us from the moment we entered the place until we checked out. Throughout the trip, he also provided us information regarding places and weather in Busan. Location wise, this place is amazing. Less than 10 metres, you are already in Haeundae Traditional Market. The place also a very public transportation friendly. There are bus stations and subway station nearby. I also recommend this place because it has a pantry area where you can heat up your food and do hot drinks. I give this place 5/5. Thank you Steven!

I was expecting a stove where I can cook there. But, maybe that was my mistake because I didn't contact the host to ask about it.

Fantastic location for anyone who's looking to stay at the Haeundae area. This place is 3 mins walk to the beach and also conveniently located around many traditional markets, as well as the main attraction of Haeundae. Steven is a fantastic host who speaks great English and has been helpful in my entire stay at the guesthouse. The room also has all the basic amenities you need, so will recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a good value for money option.

My only minor issue with the place is that the laundry is off location at another place. Regardless, it was only a 5 min walk away and accessible with 24hr service. Not a big deal but to be aware when booking!

I had a lovely time in MAMA Guesthouse and wish I could have stayed longer! The rooms were very comfortable and I was relieved to be able to adjust the temperature manually in the room during springtime in Busan. The water from the sink and the shower was strong and warm. The lounge area was very inviting and quiet yet it was also okay to chat with others and socialize. Special thanks to Steven for waiting for me to check-in despite my late flight and for making sure the guesthouse experience was smooth throughout my stay there!

It is located next to the food market. The best hotteok is sold downstairs. The room was comfortable and ours was very quiet. There is a common area to use to eat, make coffee/tea, throw the garbage and change your towels. Cleaning is offered every three days. It is close to the capsule and express buses to the Busan main station run regularly and close by.

The only thing I didn't like was that there was no cabin for the shower. It was next to the door and when taking a shower, the whole bathroom got wet and it needed its time to dry up. Maybe for this reason, the bathroom had a certain smell.

MAMA Guesthouse Haeundae is ideal for travellers seeking a vibrant part of Busan. Just a short walk from Haeundae Beach, it’s surrounded by great shopping and street food, with a convenient bus stop nearby. There’s no breakfast or meal options, but the cosy common area includes a microwave, free water dispenser, and all the amenities you need. The bed was far more comfortable than the typical firm beds in Korea, and the room remained quiet despite the lively surroundings. Special thanks to Steven, who was exceptionally kind, helpful, and spoke excellent English, enhancing the stay!

This is a great stay right near Haeundae Beach, just a five minute walk from the beach and around the corner from a market street with lots of fresh seafood! The owner, Steven, was super communicative and helpful, and check-in was very easy. The room was comfortable and clean, great for a short summer trip to enjoy the sun and sand! I will also say as a PSA for any fellow Americans/anyone who may not be aware: it is very common in South Korea for the bathroom to double as the shower space (instead of having a separate walled/curtained section for the shower), and for small towels roughly the size of American hand towels to be used -- this is not specific to any single hotel. I have seen many reviews discuss this so I hope this is helpful info! We did not find this to be the problem, but I will suggest packing a large bath towel if that's important to you! :)

It would have been helpful to have beach towels available to borrow/rent -- fortunately the GS25 convenience store was well-stocked with inexpensive beach towels.

The staff is super friendly, helpful and speaks very good English! The atmosphere was very enjoyable as the lounge had many mementos, decorations and ornaments from previous guests. The location is very good with a street food market, right around the corner and the subway station only a few minutes away by walking. Bonus: free wifi, free hot/cold water, luggage storage, smooth check-in/out.

Minor peeves: - The beds are ok, maybe a little cranky and in need of some grease. - The shower and tap are combined but the water temperature is very inconsistent. - refrigerator is very small and best suited for drinks. - tip: flip down the cover of the AC-remote and remeber to set it to night-mode!

Conveniently located at the end of the Haeundae Traditional Market street and there is a bus stop right in front of the guesthouse. Despite being near the bustling market, the rooms were quiet and I had restful sleep every night. Steven was very clear in his instructions and especially like the emphasis on the need to separate our trash.

There was no lift up to the guesthouse which is located on 2nd floor. So those with large luggage, you have to carry it up. Not a big complain as I didn't have too heavy a luggage.

Location was really good - few mins walk to Haeundae Beach. Nearest metro is Haeundae Station. Next to Haeundae Traditional Market, where you'll find street food, seafood eateries and shops selling fresh produce. We recommend the OPS Bakery just across the row of shops opposite MAMA.
