This was our first trip to Jeju island as part of our first trip to Korea or Asia in general. Jeju is a beautiful place. We specifically chose not to stay in one of the two big towns, instead opting for something that looked quiet and on the coast as a contrast to our time in Seoul. The fact that the hosts speak English was a draw, and was very helpful not just for the stay itself, but Sue very kindly helped us by calling restaurants to pre-order food as well as checking to see if places we were planning to visit were open. The little town in the Andeok valley is very small, but has a surprising number of good restaurants and convenience stores as well as access to two sections of the island's Olle trail system. You can do a mountainous hike up a cliff or a hike along the coast starting just down the street from the inn. From the rooms as well as the common breakfast area, you can see the ocean and sunset over the cliff. Our room had a good air conditioner, but we only used it once for a few hours. Otherwise we enjoyed the fresh air and slept with the sliding door open, listening to the sound of the ocean waves. The inn is in a town that is off the beaten path - it is several kilometers just to get to the main road to go to other parts of the island. But in return, you are right on the coast and it is very peaceful with very little traffic. Breakfast includes homemade bread, jam and yogurt, fresh salad, local fruit, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese and cereal. It was the same every day, but the quality was excellent.

If guests had access to laundry facilities, that would be a nice touch. However, there is a laundromat within walking distance.

Stunning views. Beautifully serene. You’re escaping to a coastal village yet have all the amenities in walking distance, convenience store, mini local store, multiple restaurants and cafes. The rooms themselves are lovely, they feel like a home away from home with personal touches in each space. The bedding is crisp and comfortable bathrooms spacious and clean with good water pressure. The products are also fabulous, my hair is nice and silky 😂 You have heated floors for winter and AC for Summer. You couldn’t wish for more informed and welcoming hosts. Breakfast is fresh and tasty - the homemade bread and hallabong jam are divine. I was sad to leave, and could have happily just moved in.

Amazing owners, very helpful and the nicest people. Breakfast was very tasty and they made us a go sandwich for our early morning airport day. Very thoughtful, I'd go back and stay with them any time. The location was very near to food options and about an hour drive away from the airport, very peaceful and beautiful area. The deluxe room has a great view from the balcony. The bath tub was also great to have after a long day of exploring.

Overall great experience, the only thing I can think of was the shower had trouble staying warm in the morning, but I only tried once, could have been a one off thing, or related to solar power, not sure. The shower was super warm at night though so no complaints here.

Couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a more picturesque spot to spend a relaxing weekend. Every recommendation was excellent; they accommodated an early morning start for the Hallasan hike; and they even wrote out in Korean what to order at a local seafood spot (which was delicious). The room has a lovely seaside view and is spacious and well furnished/decorated; came with a massage chair and yoga mat, which were great after the hike. Highly recommend this spot!

The only small issue was that the a/c stopped working briefly - but Sue quickly fixed it and followed up later to make sure it was all okay. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Hosts are wonderful, kind, helpful! They lent us beach blankets for our beach day. Beds are so comfy! Big rooms (reserved Double and King rooms. The King room had a massage chair!!!!) Area is so quaint, charming and lovely little area...not crowded; great restaurants nearby (two of the best and freshest meals we had was a seafood place and a pork bbq restaurants the hosts recommended). They serve breakfast and the jams and vegan bread were yummy (there are more food)! Simple but filling breakfast. Walkable to laundry and convenience store. Will definitely be back. One of the highlights in our trip (for my husband, it's his fave town we visited.)

Didn't use their wifi so I can't comment on that. No TV in the rooms? But that didn't bother us, even with a 6 year old. Closet? There's really no drawers or cabinets in our Double room to put away our clothes; but there are plenty of open shelves and table with mirror (there's 3 of us for 2 weeks so we had STUFF). Also the room was huge so we kept most of our stuff in the luggage; even with the luggage open, no problem with walking space. Enough hangers.

We really enjoyed staying at Doldam, it was our first trip to Asia as a family with a small baby and the hosts made us feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. The room was spacious enough for the three of us, and the baby was provided with a futon bed. All rooms offer a sea views. The location is a quiet village on the south coast, so if you are in need of some tranquility the place is for you. There are a few nice restaurants just a short walk away and a couple of great surfing and swimming spots are just a short drive away.

Everything was great.

The owners are so sweet and friendly! They gave great advice, free guidebooks, and gave me face masks when I got sunburned. It was so interesting to chat to them about their travels, and there was no language barrier at all. The breakfast was continental and delicious. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and location is good.

Parking is available, but is the spaces are a little small, and in front of the building (which is on top of a hill and beside a bend) so slightly difficult to park there, but not a big problem at all, and certainly no reason not to book!

This place is cute and the room has an amazing view. Its close to Olle trails and always have some nice corner where you can enjoy the sea view or the mandarin farms. Dori the dog is so friendly and my daughter really enjoyed playing with him. Cafe Lucia is within walking distance and they have amaxing bread selections. There are couple of 7/11 or CU nearby

To get around to places of interest comfortably you will probably need a car /taxi, however the walking trails , cafes and some restaurants are within walking distance and you definitely can enjoy great view along the way

Jeju Doldam was amazing! The property is very homey and Sue, the owner, made us feel right at home. The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated, and the balcony had a view of the ocean. The breakfast is also incredible - Sue made homemade bread, yogurt, eggs, and apricot jam!

We didn't realize that Jeju Doldam was about 2 hours away from many of the main sightseeing activities on the island (the ones on the east coast). We rented a car so it was no big deal, but still kind of a time suck! This place is great though for staying outside any of the cities, which are very developed and busy even on Jeju Island, so overall we were really happy we stayed here.

Incredible location, views and just really beautiful room and facilities. You can tell the hosts really care about their guests and they were super informational and hospitable. It was so comfortable and lovely! Breakfast was great too! We were so thankful for the insider information from our host on activities and where to eat. You should definitely go to DaePyeong HeukDweji (대평흑돼지) for dinner, too.
