A quaint, delightful hidden gem in the foothills of Alora. Chris and Ilonka became like family, they are very chilled hosts with expansive knowledge of the area, giving us great tips to hike Caminito del ray and great conversations. Ilonka cooked a fabulous 3 course meal on Friday night, starting with an unforgettable cold Thai soup using vegetables from the garden which Chris proudly gave us a tour of. There are only 3 rooms so it has a real private feel, we had the pool to ourselves for a day and the company of other guests was lovely. We are leaving feeling very relaxed but sad- Monica (the rescue pup) waved us goodbye!

The property itself is in immaculate conditions with all the comforts expected and more, the owners Ilonka and Chris, have beautifully decorated each room and the property throughout with an high eye for details and great taste. they also cooked for us a couple of beautiful meals for me and my friends and spent a lot of time and effort in organising a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. They were both super pleasant and helpful and gave us a lot of tips on what to do around Malaga and best beach to visit to avoid the crowds. we cannot thank Ilonka and Chris enough for making our stay so special and unforgettable.

What an amazing finca and what a spectacular garden! We loved everything about it -- from various nooks in the garden for relaxing to the amazing nature around. The owners are really nice and we were lucky to also have very nice "neighbours" ;) All in all, the place was exactly what we have expected and we hope to return ;)

We liked that it was a traditional finca in a rural location. The swimming pool and gardens are amazing. It feels like it’s your own private space. We stayed on a B&B basis which has a small kitchen with everything you need if you are happy not to cook. The bedroom is basic but very comfortable and clean as was the bathroom which has a good shower. Breakfast was continental style with plenty to eat and was served in the garden.

There is nothing we didn’t like.

Both Ilonka & Chris make the best for guests to enjoy a memorable stay at their property (& Mónica too!), with all sorts of fruit trees and garden plants, in the countryside; the small cottage house is really comfortable, breakfast was awesome, and there's a pool to have fun too!

A bit tricky to find at first, and the routes in Álora need some fixing; also, remember, in summer, the empire of insects spreads...! As another general comment, for the region, management of garbage, such as awareness for recycling, has room for improvement.

Loved everything ! The beautiful mountain views , the stunning garden , the amazing clean pool surrounded with pretty flowers and trees for shade . The stable we stayed in had everything the hosts had thought of every thing you needed for your stay .

Ilonka and her husband created a wonderful piece of heaven! Everything is absolutely clean and spotless and very well maintained. When you enter the property, the smell of lemon blossoms welcomes you. The garden with all the fruit, flowers and herbs is stunning and so beautiful! The small room offers everything you need, the breakfast is good but what we liked most was the warm welcome of Ilonka and her husband. She gave us really good advice on where to go for our hiking trips and organized reservations in the best restaurants closeby (had the best food there on pur trip). The dog Monika is lovely and the pool very relaxing. Don‘t hesitate to book - you won‘t regret it!

The location is beautifully situated and everything is easily accessible by car. It is a quiet area and we came to rest well. The breakfast consisted of oven-baked pistolets, egg, cheese and meat toppings, jam, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola.

Amazing from start to finish! Highly recommended! We loved everything, delicious breakfast, great location and beautiful views. Host were amazing, we appreciated their advice of where to eat and what to see 🙂 will be definitely booking again!

The property is very well cared after, has the most beautiful garden and pool, surrounded by majestic views, well located. Hosts looked after us with lovely breakfast in the morning and genuine care. We are happy to recommend this place for your holiday wholeheartedly.
