The hotel as other describe it - is 'rustic' - which translates to a bit dated. but the atmosphere is homey welcoming and warm, and the location is breath-taking in its beauty. When we arrived the gentleman who received us not only checked us in but also provide the full complement of information relevant to those coming to visit the Caminito Del Rey. It's true the mattress did seem a bit dated and perhaps the showers remnants from the 20th century but it is an out-of-the-way small hotel catering to hikers - i do not think that such amenities are top of mind for people wanting to hike in the area. the restaurant in the hotel was so forthcoming - with one of us being a vegetarian they went out of their way to accommodate special requests. I strongly and resoundingly recommend this hotel.

Great location, the hotel was nice , the room was spacious and it had a stunning view.The breakfast was good but a bit limited in terms of options. The reception staff were all very helpful and friendly . Easy to get to pretty much anything, the water park, restaurant and shops and starting point towards Caminito del Rey are all walking distance.

The downside was that the hotel closes over night so if you're staying out longer something to keep in mind. There was a phone number outside that you could ring if the doors were locked but got a little bit worried when got back and it all seemed closed and had to wait a little bit until someone came and open the door.

The place and the location is unparalleled. 20 minutes walking to the El Kiosko, right out of Caminito del Rey. With a great restaurant to eat, and even better people. They were very caring and accommodating, specially taking into account how late we arrived.

Being VERY picky here, and even if it's silly: The pillows. Ask for an extra pair if the pillows feel thin or you will need to cushion them.

We stayed here whilst walking the Gran Circuito de Malaga. The outstanding thing about this hotel was the amazing service that we received from the receptionist Gregorio. We didn't have plans to walk el Camino del Rey bit Gregorio informed us that we could buy tickets and do the walk the next day. So, we decided to do it, and Gregorio brought our luggage to the next hotel. Just amazing kindness. In addition, the hotel was very nice and our room was large and comfortable. There was a very good restaurant in the hotel and also a very cheap bar close by to grab beers and wines.

Good location for hiking the Caminito Del Rey. Our room had beautiful views from both sides. Room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We decided to have our dinner at the hotel after the hike and it was fantastic. We absolutely loved their zucchini soup!

We were given an old fashion key to our room. We had a hard time opening the door because our key didn't work properly or was it the door knob...not sure. Our breakfast was standard but the service was incredibly slow. There should be more than one server for a room of 14 or so. Most people like ourselves would like to eat early and start our day since we have limited amount of travel time. To no fault of the server because she was the same server we had last night. She was awesome. Management needs to improve on this part.

The continental breakfast was very basic. We had a very quick breakfast, the volume on the TV was extremely loud, making it very difficult to have a conversation or to enjoy an early morning coffee, just taking in the peaceful surroundings.

We loved that we picked this spot to stay to hike/walk the Caminito Del Rey. We were the first tickets in the morning so it was nice to wake up, eat breakfast, and walk right to the entrance without having to worry about taking the bus. It was super easy to take the train to El Chorro and the bus to the hotel both before and after the trek. Do pay attention to the bus/train times though to make sure you don't accidentally get stranded!

The breakfast was okay...there weren't any options it was what they gave you and it seemed a bit overpriced compared to the quality/quantity elsewhere.

It is located a short walk from the caminito del ray entrance. with a public, free, parking lot next by. staying here enables starting the caminito early when it is not hot and there are less people. The staff was super nice and explained everything there is to know about how to get to the trail and what to expect. our room had a beautiful view over a forested valley. They have their own restaurant, and maybe one more restaurant near by. other then that, nothing around but beautiful nature and an historic dam

tea / coffee making facilities would have been nice. if not in the room then in the lobby. I was not feeling well when I got there and would have really liked to stay in bed with a cup of tea

We were upgraded to a larger room with a window overlooking the valley FOC. it was very comfortable and clean. The room was warm with the A/C unit on as the weather was cold. The restaurant food was excellent and the waiter was fantastically friendly and gave good advice on the menu.

The hotel was a little too cold due to the cold weather snap and the central heating wasn't turned on soon enough. But the log fires made up for it. This is a good small hotel.

Probably the most convenient place to stay if you want to visit el Caminito del Rey. We had tickets for the afternoon, but learned upon arrival, that the caminito was closed due to bad weather! Imagine our disappointment! But since we were staying in el Posada del Conde, we had a chance to visit the next morning! I am so glad we had planned to stay there. The hotel also has secure parking and a restaurant with kind and helpful staff. who are from the area and some who can tell you stories from their childhood there!
