We were walking the Camino and this stay was right off the Camino. The owner was so kind, making sure we had everything we needed. There was a laundry mat (and bar) right next door, which was great! We drank a beer and did our laundry at the same time! The owner suggested a place for dinner that was absolutely exceptional. He also served us an early breakfast so we could head out early and helped us with our route. The room was great, but, truthfully, on the Camino, it is the people that matter and at Hotel Vasco Da Gama - the owner made our experience unforgettable!
Nothing!

This hotel exceeded my expectations and was a great value despite being one of the more expensive nights on my Camino journey. It is convenient to the Camino de Santiago (within a couple blocks). Everything and more that a pilgrim could need is right there (laundromat next door; pharmacy within a block; cafes, restaurants, bars, and groceries within quick and easy reach, bus stop close by). A/C was appreciated. Breakfast spread was great (including many healthy and tasty options, protein, fresh juice, fruit, yogurt, etc). Many extra bonuses. The hotel hosted a traditional queimada gallega the night that I was there which will surely be one of the most fun and memorable parts of my Camino experience and time in Galicia.
I wish I had booked a longer stay.

The host was friendly & helpful. The outdoor patio & garden were clean & well cared for. They obviously take pride in their establishment. The breakfast was simple but the service was attentive & genuine. Location is close to restaurants, cafes, mercado, pharmacy & stores. Laundromat right next door.
The only thing we would mention is that the bathroom door has glass windows that you can see through so it’s a little awkward when you’re traveling with friends. Otherwise very clean & comfortable.

The people there go above and beyond. They helped me get a physio for my foot so I could try to continue walking the Camino. They do other things too. They are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and very well organized. There's a laundromat right next door which is very helpful when you're traveling. But additionally if you prefer to wash out your own items there is a area where you can air dry your clothes at the hotel outside. The hotel accommodations are good. The beds are comfortable, everything is clean, the bathroom is a nice size. This will not be the finishings that many Americans are used to but for a clean, comfortable room, a light breakfast, excellent service, and excellent location it cannot be beat. I will always recommend this hotel to anyone I know walking the Camino or otherwise going to be in the area. I thank them for a great stay, all their help and excellent accommodations.

.Our host, Alvaro who owns and runs the hotel is the best host I have had. He runs the place with his heart and soul. Offered to pick us from the airport at a very reasonable fee. He keeps his hotel in immaculate condition. Beds were very comfy and everything is so clean and tidy. The terrace is a pretty oasis as others have said in the reviews. The location is very convenient for us walking the Camino. Good communication. Breakfast which is included is excellent. His room rate is also very good. Highly recommended. Thank you Alvaro for your kindness and everything.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Cozy comfortable place with adequate on site parking. Nice outside seating area for having drinks and chatting. Excellent manager. Breakfast was good, but would have been better with eggs and bacon. The Sabaris maritime area is lovely with great opportunities for walking.
VERY slippery shower area lacking anti-skid mats and grab bars. This seems to be coming in Spain and Portugal, and represents a real danger.

The breakfast was excellent, and there’s a laundry right next door. The room was clean, and the entire team was incredibly helpful and friendly.
However, the soundproofing isn’t great, as it’s an old building. Be mindful of your windows to avoid letting in flies.

Very friendly owner who offered icepacks for my feet and gave good advice on a nice restaurant closely (Basso). Breakfast was at 07:30 but he offered to change it to 07:00 if I wanted to start earlier. Breakfast was small but nice. Laundry was next door and short walk to the beach. Location was great. Shutters meant a dark/good night sleep
Room is slightly outdated, but it was clean so no problem.

This is right off the Camino and my absolute favorite place I’ve stayed so far!! from the moment you arrive you are welcomed and feel like you are visiting someone’s home. The balcony with a view of the garden is so peaceful, the bed is comfortable and there is a separate balcony to hang your clothes which is very thoughtful. Breakfast in the morning was so sweet with everything from fresh fruit, pastries, bread, ham & cheese. So many options and you really are made to feel at home. I love this place!!
nothing. it was perfect

Great location, nice size rooms, excellent breakfast in the morning. There’s a huge laundromat and bar right next door - so everything you need when walking the Camino de Santiago. Beautiful garden and patio area.
The rooms are very dated, but you have what you need. Our particular room had incredible noise problems when anyone ran the water elsewhere. Sounded like the water was going to burst through our wall, but when I brought this to the attention of the front desk person, they dismissed it. We didn’t get any sleep.
