In general ,a very good hotel, with a nice and clean room,. A special thanks to the the staff, that was very helpful with all my questions about the city.

My room was first floor facing the streeet, so, a little noise sometimes during the weekend. Also, at night, I could hear my neighboors arguing.

The location is good, an easy bus ride in to the main part of town. The streets are quiet with a few restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and well kept.

When we arrived (early, I'd been told they would accommodate us if there was a room available) the concierge was rude and not very helpful. Thankfully he agreed to store our bags but when we asked if there were coffee shops nearby, he scoffed and said "not at this time" no follow up. Left a bad first impression, we were able to check in before the scheduled time a few hours later which we were grateful for, the rest of our interactions with the staff were great.

The Hotel, though away from the centre, is still in a good location, and well connected. The staff is sweet and cordial. The coffee shop opposite the hotel is a must-try!

Basic facilities like a kettle and some coffee/tea would add a nice touch to the experience. Despite having stayed in their best room, these facilities were missing.

The location was great. Not very close to the main attractions but nonetheless, everything was within walking distance so if you plan to walk, wear comfy shoes! Close to many popular restos along Diagonal. Close to Passeig de Gracia. If you enjoy brisk walking this hotel will give you that! Breakfast is a bit expensive for what you get. We've had better breakfast in the surrounding neighborhood so try going out, you can Google some breakfast spots, they are nearby!

The hotel hallway outside your rooms had a very bad smell of sewage. I'm not sure why but it was persistent and nasty. Also, for some reason, our magnetic keys kept getting deactivated. Very annoying when you've had a long day and all you need is to have to get your key activated to get in your room. Also the bar and restaurant are still closed after a certain time due to the pandemic. Thank goodness for the restaurants across and around.

I am thrilled to recommend Hotel Derby for an exceptional and memorable stay. Despite only spending one night there, I was truly impressed with the outstanding accommodations provided. The apartment offered was spacious, boasting a delightful terrace that afforded a stunning view. The attention to detail and overall ambiance of the apartment were nothing short of remarkable. The hotel staff were attentive and ensured that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location was also superb, offering convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities. If you are seeking a remarkable experience with superb views and luxurious accommodations, look no further than Hotel Derby. My brief stay left a lasting impression, and I would eagerly choose this hotel again for future visits.

The room was decent, clean, and quiet for the period we didn't have neighbors. The breakfast was good, but not very diversified. You can eat there like 3 days in a row, but then you need to find alternatives. The guys and ladies at the front desk are nice and helpful.

The "fun" part begins when you get some neighbors. On the first floor, where we were accommodated, the rooms have an inner double door through which you can pass into the next room. There's no safety issue because your neighbor cannot open the door from your side, but man...you can hear everything through those doors...and this is not pleasant at all. Do you want to have a romantic night? Be ready to share it with your neighbors! :))

The hotel is about 10mins walk from the hospital clinic metro stop which is on metro line 5 which makes it very easy to connect to most parts of the city and certainly all the tourist hotspots. The rooms are large and clean which huge comfortable beds and good aircon. I had been anxious that the hotel would be noisy after reading other reviews but this was simply not the case. We barely heard a peep during our stay, the only time there was street noise was when the window was open - which I think is pretty obviously out of the hotels control and very rectifiable by closing the window. I would stay again and I would happily recommend this hotel to others. I also have to say the cleaners were so lovely, very helpful and very friendly and the place was immaculate.

Our key card needed to be reset daily which was frustrating - why do this things always happen when ever you are bursting for a pee haha. The pool is in another hotel across the road. I do feel like saying its part of the hotel is dishonest, so if you are wanting a hotel where you will use the pool a lot this probably isn't the right choice for you... Only other niggle was the price, it was quite pricey compared to other hotels of a similar standard but it was the peak of summer.

The bed was very comfortable; the room itself was also pretty convenient. Location of the hotel was OK for me; I was on business trip and office is only few minutes walk from the hotel.

I have really missed some salad bar from the breakfast options. I did not like the pillow - it had some long tube-shape not a regular pillow (rectangle) shape. Also, in the last 2 days of my stay near the reception and on the corridors there was heavy sewage water smell. Guessing this is not a normal situation, so it was unpleasant experience but probably not the situation of today.

A very spacious room (actually there were 2 hotel rooms), a bath with sea salt, lots of wooden nice decor inside.

It wasn't soundproof - I could hear the water flushing in the next room, or I could hear early in the morning how someone typed on the keyboard on their notebooks from another hotel room. There was no kettle inside the room
