There was a perfect little balcony for enjoying the evening and people-watching in the heart of the city. The air conditioner was incredible! The bed was so comfortable! It was the best bed we had our whole 2 week stay in Europe. The staff went above expectations helping us check in after regular hours.

It was so confusing trying to find the parking for the area. Once we found some underground parking, we had to cross a park, a major street, and find our way through the walking-only streets to the hotel, schlepping our luggage the whole way. But that was the only drawback.

Property was in the old quarter of Bilbao and the building was fantastic. We were on the 4th floor, room 15 and absolutely loved it. There were 2 balconies which you could sit out on and watch the world below go by. The room was clean and the furnishings were of a high standard. Access to the property was so simple as per instructions received.

Only recommendations I would say is a small bin in the bedroom area would have been nice. There was one in the bathroom but would be nice to have an extra one. Also, a small fridge (size of minibar style) just to store water in. We stayed in a similar sized property in San Sebastián and they had one. Really made the difference.

7Kale is situated at THE most lively spot in the Casco Viejo at the corner of Calle Santa Maria and Calle de Perro, and therefore on the first floor you are on top of the evening fun, music and games. Our little balcony had the best view of everything going on in the street below. But the new double doors to the street are most soundproof and saves the night. Having been at this accomodation before, I was forewarned. You are are near to everything, and the eating opportunity excels, breakfast and all meals to be had many good places. Simple and elegant decor in the room and as good a place as when I visited here in ´14 with my rucksack after my Camino. New is also the lift, added to the entrance hall for visitors laden with heavy suitcases A place to be highly recommended!

Fantastic location right in the heart of the old town. Clean, bright and spacious room with everything you need. Fantastic soundproof balcony doors.

Soundproofing inside the property leaves much to be desired. Could hear clearly the conversations of travellers next door, and noisy guests putting music on at 2am. Stayed for 3 night and were woken several times during the night and early morning by other guests voices and noise in the hallway. Also no staff present so unsure who to contact if we had any queries. Shame as everything else about our stay was perfect.

The location was amazing, right in the centre and everything within walking distance. The room was lovely and spacious and clean. The host was lovely too. We'd definitely stay here again if we return back to Bilbao.

Only 2 small issues. Someone in a neighbouring room smoked, don't know if it was on their balcony or in their room, but the smell, if you're not a smoker, is unpleasant. The other thing was the shower didn't drain away the water quickly, so had to be careful when getting out not to flood the bathroom.

The location is right in the old city, so no cars are allowed. It's about a block from where you can be dropped off or catch a taxi, and it's very close to the river. We like to walk, so we walked to the Guggenheim for here. It is a noisy area, so you might want to use the earplugs they provided. We were not facing the street, but at night the nearby restaurants were loading/stacking dishes when we were trying to sleep. The building is old (no air conditioning) but the interior has been fixed up and is very clean and modern.

Communication. Apparently they sent an email a day or two before our arrival with instructions about getting in, but we were traveling and didn't see it. So when we arrived we had to buzz the office and we could not hear what they were trying to tell us over the intercom because there's a cafe right there on the street. Once we were in, everything was fine.

The hotel location is perfect for a city break, right in the heart of the old town, but with good sound proofing, no noise in the room. Rooms are bright and bathroom very well appointed.

Beds are comfortable, but pillows a little hard. Breakfast is the only downside, I did not feel the offer was good value for money, just very basic, but there are plenty of coffee shops close by that can compensate, I would recommend that people staying have breakfast outside.

The B&B is in a very busy and lively part of the old town. But, we had a room at the backside of the building without noise from downstairs in the streets. Although approach by car is not possible, a large car park is within walking distance with discount from the B&B. A tram stop for going to the Guggenheim museum is very near.

We did not book breakfast for the first night and it was not possible to change that the next morning.

Great location, comfortable, clean room and overall property. We stayed in a balcony room overlooking the street. The balcony is a little Juliette balcony but it gave us a street view. I don’t agree with many of the average reviews for this property - our experience was great.

Everything was great, there was a little internal noise from other travelers coming home after a day of exploring but this was minor

We loved our room, which was clean and well furnished in a very neat sense of style. The bathroom was small, but excellent. Everything was well functioning. The location was everything. The area is very lively with cafés, shops and everything you could possibly need, and the river just down the street. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Unfortunately, we did not like the breakfast.
