There are a lot of things that i like about the property. To begin with the cleaning. Everyday the cleaning lady would come after we would live the apartment. They changed the towels everytime. The location was super. You would find all the attractions nearby, in 3 min by walking. (Metro, lots of restaurants and local attractions) Everything was functual, heat, cold and warm water. The bathroom was spacious. When i booked this apartment, i booked it for the price and for good reviews in general. I can say that the owner or who manages those rooms, make a difference for how they treat/respect the foreigners, for all the positive points of view i mentioned.

There was no pair of sleepers. (Although i did not ask if would be possible to have) The room did not have a window.

I had my phone stolen in San Sebastian before I reached Bilbao. I therefore never received any e-mails or texts advising me how to book in. I found the accommodation but could not access it as I hadn't received the info I needed to access it. A young Spanish man who lived in the same block as the Casual Blue phoned them for me and directed me to where I needed to be to gain access. This was in another street and up four flights of stairs! After that everything was fine. If I hadn't had help I'd have been on the street or had to find alternative accommodation. Casual Blue is in the old town and it was fantastic.

Hadn't realised it wasn't a hotel with a reception and having no phone (it had been stolen out of my pocket in San Sebastian) I had no information on how to access the accommodation.

Unbeatable location in the heart of old town. The room was very comfortable though basic. The keypad access made me feel very secure. My room faced an internal courtyard so didn’t get sunlight, but it was incredibly quiet, even during Aste Nagusia festivities and my sleep was undisturbed.

The WiFi did not reach my room, which was somewhat annoying. I had signal in the common area but my room was one of the furthest from the common area and there was no signal in my room.

Far exceeded expectation for location: in historic quarter of Bilbao, the entrance lobby has to be seen to be believed! Automated check-in worked no problem. Upstairs, plenty of spacious shared facilities area, and a good sized room for two (with beds for four), with its own balcony over the pedestrian street. All fittings new and really clean, beds comfortable, plumbing works well. Location right in the middle of all the amenities - restaurants, cafes, bars, shops etc, with a mini-market right next door. Quiet at night, and superior bakeries nearby for excellent breakfast.

Hard to find fault, particularly at the price. Parking was a bit of a walk. Not Casual Blue's fault, but in the morning the police had closed the main road by the river and Bilbao's traffic had seized up.

Excellent location in the middle of Bilbao old town - could not have been better! The hotel was very clean. It does not have a reception and the hotel requires you to complete a self check in (and submit your passport details) prior to checking in. There is a hotel around the corner that the hotel is linked to that has a 24hr reception and luggage storage. The room itself was clean and comfortable. There is a kitchenette with a fridge (but there is no stove so you can’t cook).

I have no complaints :)

Great experience with Casual. A sister hotel nearby kept our luggage until we could check in which was great as we arrived in Bilbao very early by ferry. We had booked a room with a courtyard view as I thought this would be quieter. However, we were upgraded to a larger room with a small balcony on the street which was great and the street noise wasn't a problem - slept like babies.

The inside door to the hotel was a bit stiff! Otherwise all good.

The room was spacious, the lightning was great depending if you wanted more or less light in the room. Beds were very, very comfortable! We even had a table and chair from which we could use our laptop. It was very quiet all throughout, which was surprising. We stayed during the carnival when the streets were full and loud, but our room didn't register any of that. The shower was very spacious, and the common room had utensils and a fridge for us to store our food.

Lack of heating. It was rather cold and the radiator didn't work at all. Also, the showers would run out of hot water quickly. We had some very noisy neighbours and someone even stole our food from the fridge!

Our four-bed family room was spacious and clean. The colorful paint, original ceiling moldings, and balcony with chairs were a nice touch. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was pretty basic but okay. Location was superb --directly in the middle of the Old City. Building was charming. Staff were superb.

The only issue was noise from the street -- our balcony door didn't shut properly so I had to push a chair up against it to keep the balcony doors closed. Nonetheless we heard the noise from the Old City street because there's no soundproofing due to the age of the building. We were there over Halloween and heard raucous street noise until 4am -- I suspect it's similar on the weekends. For deep sleepers it's probably not a problem.

Stay 3nights. Great location, clean room, nice hospitality We found bit leaking water from toilet,and sent message on Second day. They responsed me quickly and fixed the day, it was nice hospitality even though no one stayed at the hotel, also cleaning seirvice are every day, make more comfortable our stay. Over all, the price and the seirvice were great deal and worth it！ I can highly recomend.

How to check in was bit tricky. Unfortunately we were tight schedule for conecting flight, so no time to buy date card for phone, also I was not comfortable to send our passport info on what's up, so I expected to check in person, however, no one at the building. I heard of staff stayed at other building, so check in person will be possible? I am not sure, but if you want to check in smoothly, you need to get access code before leaving Bilbao airport.

It was only 2 minutes walk from the metro station, and in the middle of the lively neighbourhood of Old Town of Bilbao. Very convenient for our brief city holiday. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we slept very well as the window blocked the street noise & the curtain blocked the morning light. Staffs were very organised and helpful - they contacted me through WhatsApp, helped me locating where the hotel was. Very happy experience overall!

There was no air conditioner - however it didn't affect us when we travelled there in the end of May.
