The staff was unbelievable! From the front desk to the bar/waitstaff to the cleaning staff. Everyone was extremely accommodating and always had a smile. Couldn't ask for a better staff to take care of us for our stay. Housekeeping paid close attention to details. I noted that everyday, excess sand was cleaned from the track of our sliding glass door, a detail that could easily have been overlooked. The front desk was so accomodating and made sure every request was taken care of for us. We were a large group with a lot of requests lol, and they delivered each and every time without fail. The bar downstairs by the pool had a very well thought out cocktail menu. Much better than the standard sweet beachy cocktails found elsewhere in Cala Millor. Who ever designed this menu payed very close attention to the ingredients. I.e. Most Pina Coladas are way too sweet for me, and I would never consider ordering one, but my mother in law is a fan and I tried a sip, it was actually very very good. (And presentation was amazing) I am a gin drinker and they had probably close to a dozen different spanish gin tonic combinations with both local and imported gins, all properly paired with fresh fruit and herbs. I was very impressed as you usually don't find that at a poolside bar at a family resort. (I only found one other place in all of cala millor who's gin menu came even close) They had some other great cocktails that were not overly sweet like I had expected. All in all, great bar and again the staff at the bar were an absolute pleasure. To me, the staff at this hotel, from the top down, is what makes Cm Castell de Mar a great place to stay in Cala Millor. The location, adjacent to the sea, makes traveling with kids so easy. We hopped back and forth from the pool to the sea with ease.

Only recommendation would be to add some fans near the elevators as the AC didn't hit these areas. But it's Mallorca in August, so it's gunna be hot!

The activities in spanish (we know you have lots of german visitors but we missed some activities in spanish for the kids) At the pool people leave the towels to keep the hammocks and umbrellas busy while they go out of the hotel, we would have apreciate if it was some kind of control with that.

I didn’t know what to expect when I booked because I didn’t know this hotel chain, so when I arrived I realized it was an average hotel with old style furnishings and bed not so comfy. But on the next day I was surprised with the cleanliness of my room, with the amazing breakfast with plenty of good selections, also dinner which was included was good, and the staff at the reception and restaurant are the best!! The beach is beautiful but crowded. Couldn’t find shades and chairs so I had to buy umbrella and a chair which was good because I could choose where to sit. The surroundings are simple, nothing outstanding, as I was going to spend 10 days it turned boring so I moved to another beach and could cancel the rest of my staying at no cost.

The swimming pool area could be better.

The staff are all beyond reproach. From reception to the restaurant, cleaning staff to facilities management, all were great. Great location, right by the beach.

While our room was done up every day, the floor was not once vacuumed in 8 days. Otherwise the hotel was very clean. The food was OK and pretty decent for the price but not amazing.

Excellent sea view from higher floors. Fantastic location, excellent for families with kids. Lovely pool side bar & restaurant. Very friendly staff.

Despite explicitly paying for a Sea View suite, first night I was given a room on first floor which did not had sea view (as in balcony opening ti the direct sea view. It was changed the next very day when I showed dissatisfaction (which is great but could have avoided spoiling the mood)

Location was superb. It is situated at one of the best beaches in Mallorca. Facilities were as expected. The staff were very courteous and helpful.

The sauna facility can improve a bit. There was a bit of back and forth to ask for it to be turned on. it is also quite small for the size of property. The hammam bath never functioned when we asked. maybe these areas can improve. But we had a great time at the pool, nevertheless.

Location 10/10- close to everything and easy access Staff 10/10 - so so attentive and helpful. Cleaning staff leaving little notes on you’re bed wishing a safe flight, being greeted by a cocktail or juice, love jazz music on Fridays, waitresses and chefs always smiling and happy to help, all in all you can tell staff are treated well and are happy in their jobs. Big thanks to Carmen, the lovely lady that made sure to always have a table ready for our family of 6 outside even when it was very busy Entertainment 10/10- something different every night and entertainment that you want to watch and be a part of, the magic show was amazing and so was the Spanish dancers!! Food 11/10 - we were lost for choice every night, not only was there something to suit everyone’s likes and dislikes but every single dish that we ate was made with so much care and the flavours were outstanding. In all my years of visiting hotels I have never left as many compliments about food in my life. They had a different cuisine every night which kept things exciting and certain deserts were top notch. overall food was always different and amazing, it kept us excited to go to dinner every day.

Really liked the view from the room, the facilities such as the spa, saunas and pools. The breakfast was also fantastic. The staff were also really friendly. Everything was convenient, and even the other people staying in the hotel were really nice!

You cant get a better location, right on the beach near plenty of restaurants and shops. Wonderful facilities, very nice hotel bar area and restaurant area. Room is spacious with an excellent balcony overlooking the sea and pool. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Certainly one of the best we have had. Every single thing you can think of was available and very fresh.

The desk staff on check in (named Marc) made the process very painful, he kept asking for a pdf file for our reservation. I didn't have one. I showed him the booking reservation email on my phone but he said he needed a pdf file or a paper document. I have never had anything like this occur, most place don't ask for anything but if they do it is usually just the confirmation number. After the 15 minute ordeal we got checked in but the room didn't have air conditioning and the weather was very hot.

The hotel is next to the beach ,the room view was great , the staff were very helpful and polite. A perfect place for recreation , peace and quiet.

No downsides.
