Food is definitely the highlight, excellent quality. Main restaurant is excellent, terrace buffet and Al a carte also excellent. Hotel was spotless, rooms are beautiful, beds really comfy. Loved the menu changed daily and the breakfast pastries were so fresh and tasty. Staff were excellent go above and beyond, bar staff at pool bar were so pleasant and accommodating and the main hotel bar. It's in a beautiful setting, not much around but Palma short distance away. Very hilly and alot of steps on property, was fine for our group but worth a mention Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend

The only thing I didn't like was the underground walkway to the beach, it's obviously difficult to ventilate and I found the smell overwhelming (underground, Damp like smell artificial freshener mixed). Didn't bother my friends so much but I struggled with it.

The hotel is gorgeous, steeped in character!! The staff are fabulous - really friendly and warm and the owners have a strong presence there which is lovely because you get the feeling that they really care about their guests' experience. The food is absolutely fabulous, especially in the Gourmet Restaurant but the Beach Restaurant is also really good. I chose full board and would highly recommend this option for a complete chill out which is what I went for. The small beach is lovely - a wee bit stoney but there is a sandy way to walk out. The other beaches in Illettas are beautiful but far too busy in August which is when I was there. I did walk down to both of them but sped back to the sanctuary of Bon Sol asap without even a swim! Beautiful Palma city is a 20 minute bus journey away with very regular busses. Well worth a visit. Also it's super easy to get to Hotel Bon Sol from the airport by taxi (€30/40). I travelled alone this time but would happily go back with my partner and (6 year old) daughter or with friends. All in all I would highly recommend Hotel Bon Sol if chilling out completely and being looked after is what you are looking for. I would go back in a heart beat.

I cannot tolerate gluten at all (coeliac disease). The hotel made a real effort to accommodate this and some staff were well informed but there is room for improvement, especially given how prevalent coeliac disease/gluten intolerance is and how negatively it can effect people.

A privately owned hotel that celebrated its 70th anniversary while we were there. Martin, the owner for the last forty years, can often been seen about the property speaking to guests, assisting the the restaurants and ensuring all is going well. The small but effectively private beach ensues safe bathing. The hotel consists of a number of separate units that have been added over the years. The word quirky is often used when describing it, but in a good way. The food at the various restaurants and bars top quality and served promptly.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. Illetas is bit out of the way but the No.4 bus stops outside property and for€2 will take you to the centre of Palma. Reception will organise taxis if that is your preference.

The hotel is charming and traditional. The staff were so amazing. Very attentive. The pools and gardens are beautiful.The beach restaurant is so lovely. Idyllic setting.

There are a lot of steps as the hotel is built down the side of hill. So this property is not suitable for people of limited mobility. The beach restaurant is so very beautiful when you eat in the evenings, again multiple flights of stairs and a lot of walking through tunnels. But totally worth it.The food is ok. Not much variety but nothing wrong with it. Surprisingly there are no local/Spanish dishes, which is surprising as the hotel is so very traditionally Spanish.

Very Good Location in IIletas, well maintained grounds. Got upgraded to junior suite :). Lovely friendly and welcoming staff, very good service and hard working staff in the restaurants, spacious and clean rooms, free parking, Very vice beach area. Breakfast Baguette was very good!

Sun beds are uncomfortable and clunky. Unfortunately no service in the beach area. Beach Bar food was like fast Food, missing love!. Overall breakfast Buffet quality was average: Especially Espresso Coffee not good :( Brown toast bread was very cold without heating could not bite. In some areas around elevators hotel scent was a bit overwhelming.

Beautiful quirky hotel! We really enjoyed our time by the pool, or in the piano bar playing chess when the weather wasn’t so great. We went for the half board option and loved having dinner at the beach restaurant whilst Pablo serenaded us with his lovely music. We also took advantage of the babysitting services - thank you Claudia and Fani for entertaining our little one!

I hadn’t really thought about accessibility (getting around with a stroller) when booking. The hotel has stone staircases down to the pool/beach. We ended up leaving the stroller in the room and using a baby carrier to get around instead, which was ok for our short stay.

This is a delightful hotel with excellent service. This is one of the hotels you must visit in your life. This is the short version. I will tell the full one if you have enough time to read it. I hold a C-level position at a very prominent Silicon Valley companies. I often vacation in Spain, in Catalonia, the Canaries and the Balearic Islands. At first I booked a different hotel in Mallorca. When I got there in the morning, I was just kicked out, with the comment that my dog weighs more than 7 kilograms (although I had informed in advance the breed of my dog). I will not share the name of this hotel, my lawyers will is working on the case right now. After a horrible morning and 2 hours of negotiations with Booking.com, I decided to book this Bon Sol hotel. I sent a message when booking the room indicating the breed and weight of my dog. To what I received a reply signed by the hotel director "We will be very happy to see you, and your dog". It was amazing. At check-in I met a woman (unfortunately I don't remember the name). She is in a management position at this hotel. I was totally stressed out, but after I told the story that happened to me this morning, she commented that they also have rules - dogs under 9 pounds - but they would accept me with my elderly calm dog with no problem. And would even upgrade the room to a family suite, given the circumstances. Also I would like to mention excellent (unusual for Spain) service and personal. And Carlos and his father in the bar near the pool. I also met a few days later a nice man who said he was the owner of the hotel and wanted to help me and tell me about his hotel. Unfortunately I did not have time to talk to him at the time but I would like to pay my respects to him. Bon Sol is definitely the best hotel I have ever seen in Spain. I will definitely return there again.

The facilities are really good. The stuff is very friendly and solution oriented. We stayed with our dog and for me it is really important because we felt like home. Our return flight was late and they let us stay at the hotel after check-out. There is a private bathroom you can use next to the breakfast restaurant which is very convenient.

The food could be better. We changed our deal to half-board. The first night we had dinner at hotel but later we changed to lunch. Because the dinner wasn't good enough. We had dinner outside of hotel all the other nights.

The hotel is in the perfect location, and has all the facilities one requires to have a relaxing or sporty type holiday. The owners of the hotel introduced themselves on our first day and were seen regularly around the hotel. We had a very nice sea view room, which had very generous tea and coffee making facilities, plus a refrigerator. The restaurant options were again well thought out and it was possible to take meals either by the beach bar or in the main hotel restaurant. All the staff from reception, restaurants, pool, cleaners, in fact every department were friendly and professional in every way. We were fortunate to be able to attend a Candle Lit Dinner on one evening and this included Spanish music, singing and dancing displays, this was wonderful.
