Location great for the airport and walking distance to local amenities. Bedroom clean, quiet, comfortable for an overnight stay. Banged my head twice on the eves in the Bedroom and needs to be addressed. The hotel was immaculate but offers little else.

The hotel is very quiet, but breakfast extremely disappointing. All of the food is mainly vacuum packed and provides little to zero options. A tasteless, cold buffet that is being delivered on the cheap. The coffee was awful, toaster ineffective and fruit out of date. The orange juice was from a low cost carton. The slices of processed cheese ought to be fed to the stray cats. for the amount paid for the stay, the hotel could and should provide better quality and more options. Having visited the restaurant the night before, it's clear that 90% of the food isn't fresh and sits there for an eternity. The one star rating is appropriate for the service and restaurant.

Friendly helpful staff and very clean comfortable hotel.

On arrival we was told breakfast was from 8.30 am but as we had to leave early we was offered a take away breakfast. On departure 2 bags were in reception which contained a croissant, cake, banana and a box of juice which was very much appreciated. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant.

Excellent as my wife is on a Gluten Free diet and I am on a Gluten/Dairy Free diet we couldn't have asked for anything else. It is the first hotel in our year of travelling that has the selection of Gluten Free and Dairy Free that the hotel has. Full marks to you. Pub/Restaurant just a short walk was great with a good selection of food

Immaculately clean and modern, spacious room with an excellent seized bathroom, walls are bit thin as you can hear the toilets in the other room, private car park and a buffet breakfast, 15 euro gets you a taxi into Santander, decent hotel for the money, the airport is less than 15mins away which is why we stayed here.

We were welcomed warmly and the room was lovely. Everywhere was very clean, which is so important. The bathroom had a lovely shower and again, it was very clean. The separate gluten & lactose free area for breakfast was brilliant. We had a good choice of food and milks for our drinks. We were very impressed, thank you!

Great little hotel ideally situated for the Brittany Ferry Port. Fairly basic room but it was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a one night stop over.

Unfortunately the hotel does not offer an evening meal and there are no restaurants within the immediate location. Having read previous reviews we were aware of this and popped into a supermarket not far from the hotel and had a wine and cheese evening in our room.

The breakfast was typical of a continental one; there was a lot of choice and no limit to the amount. The quality of the food was very good. I also liked the location as it was conveniently situated for the Santander ferry terminal.

Not so much what the hotel could do, it's more what is lacking in the town for the traveller. Having arrived at 17.00 after a 1000km drive, I wanted a hot meal but the only restaurant in walking distance didn't serve food until 20.45!

I was most pleasantly surprised by how modern, clean and well presented the hotel was. I was expecting a rather tired hotel but what I got was a first class hotel with spacious rooms and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept. Breakfast was amazing with almost every eventuality catered for.

The property is modern, clean and welcoming. The car park is at the front of the building and there is plenty of space. We especially liked that you could help yourself to coffee or tea in the reception area. We now know that Spanish hotels don’t tend to have tea or coffee making facilities in the room but this is a really nice touch! The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choice and plentiful. The en-suite shower was the best we have seen, ultra modern, lovely hot water. We stayed just one night before getting the ferry back to England, it’s a ten minute drive and is very easy to navigate. There is a garage just around the corner to fill up with fuel, we walked there to get snacks for the journey. There are also a couple of restaurants nearby if you want a meal in the evening.

The WiFi could be a bit sporadic in the rooms; the reception WiFi was more reliable.

Modern, spacious and clean hotel on the outskirts of Santander. 10 mins. drive to Brittany Ferries port. The room was a good size and an had double bed. En suite shower. Free parking on the premises. Friendly reception staff. Good choice continental breakfast.

No lunch or dinner at the hotel. The nearest restaurant is a 5 minute walk to a local pension/restaurant, frequented only by locals and only Spanish spoken incl. the menu. Still an excellent meal with wine for a fair price. Hotel Mercedes is great for a one night stop but there no bars or entertainment anywhere nearby.
