This hotel is in a stunning location, at about 1000m, on the high, narrow ridge between the deep valleys of the Huécar and the Rio Júcar. This part of Cuenca is a UNESCO World Heritage site - "an exceptional example of the medieval fortress town that has preserved its original townscape remarkably intact along with many excellent examples of religious and secular architecture from the 12th to the 18th centuries". The buildings, walks and views are absolutely outstanding, although some require a head for heights! There are restaurants, bars and tapas bars all around, so lots of choices for eating out and the hotel's own restaurant has a good reputation - we didn't try it due it not having outside tables (we eat outside of in our rooms due to Covid-vulnerability) - we did have a very nice snack from the bar though, delivered to our room by friendly and understanding staff. The breakfasts were also excellent. Our lovely room looked out over the latter - probably the most stunning view we've ever had from a hotel room. The ensuite and the door were up a flight of steps from bedroom part. For some reason we didn't take pictures in the room, but pictures on here and on their own website are very accurate. There is an indoor car park just across the street 'Parking Calle San Pedro' - I think the maximum height was 2,2m (we were fine with our 2,0m VW Transporter T5 - the hotel reception desk has discount slips for when you leave. You can also park for free if you go up beyond the arch in the town wall, but it's a bit of a haul with luggage. Wholehearted recommend both Cuenca and Hotel Leonor de Aquitania - both being top highlights of our 3 months in Spain.

The view from the room overlooking the parador was spectacular. Car park two minutes away. Old town 2 minutes walk away from hanging houses, plaza mayor cathedral, Best of all attached to a Michelin star restaurant Raff San Pedro, best Michelin chef ever, Excellent breakfast, fresh fruit and cooked. Bar in the hotel was great to chill out after a long day. Jacuzzi too in the bathroom. Nice and quiet.

Coffee facilities in the room would have been nice.

Perfect location for a trip in Cuenca. It’s right in the middle of the old city centre, close to all the sights and there is free parking just a 5 min walk from the hotel. The staff are extreme friendly and helpful. The price quality relation for this hotel is just unbeatable, I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms could use a little bit of a refresher but since we only slept there it was actually perfect. The beds are also very comfortable. The only negative side was that our room was on the street side and quite loud.

The staff were wonderful - they changed my room when the wifi wasn't strong enough to connect for my work and the view from the second room was astounding. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful, even when I had to work on my computer in the lobby for long stretches. Location in Cuenca's Old City was wonderful, too - very close to all fabled, historic sites

Wifi wasn't strong enough to connect to on the third floor, though I understand this may have been due to the extreme heat.

A beautiful nice central hotel in old village cuenca with separate garage parking 50m away, great old style but well maintained infrastructure (well, I bet that night's power problems were a one-time issue), free wifi included. nice rooms. Very friendly and supportive staff, even under that night's power issue stress. will come back, for sure.

weak wifi, thanks to power issues that night. no complaint or gap otherwise.

The hotel is close to the central. There is a restaurant in the next to the hotel. You can go to the famous bridge from there easily. And the view from the balcony in my room was so amazing!! The breakfast was good😊 My favorite is the bottle of pine juice , peach juice, and scrambled eggs. There are plenty of choices in the breakfast.

I have no ideas.

Excellent hotel and service. Great view from the room. Short distance to good restaurants. A full size bath in bathroom. Comfy bed, very clean and also pet friendly. Good selection of breakfast choices. Only stayed a night on route to Madrid, would love to return and stay longer. Great value for money.

Parking could be a problem, we parked about 200 metres away for free, up through an archway, as spaces available and not busy in mid October. There is a pay for parking very near to the hotel. Even using sat nav, we managed to drive past the hotel 3 times, as on a narrow street and not obvious signage. Our stupidity, not the hotel 😀

Fantastic location, easy to find, quiet bedroom.

The breakfast was OK, but there was no chilled cold water, the bread was tired, and the dining room a bit dark and depressing. We thought the staff could have been more welcoming - for instance, having ready clear instructions on where to park and more importantly where not to park. The bar was not at all attractive and no obvious outside space.

The hotel is situated right in the old town, up a hill from Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral, perching on the edge of the gorge that makes Cuenca so dramatic. I stayed in the sole Suite room, which has its own staircase from the 3rd floor, and a decent sized and very private terrace with incredible views. The room is a little outdated, but the views are really what you stay here for. The breakfast is fine, and the restaurant in the basement is one of the best places to eat in town.

Some sort of room, hotel and town information available in the room itself would have been good, and the WiFi was so bad I gave up trying to use it and just relied on the decent mobile data signal.

Room size, location, general hotel decor, cleanliness, reception staff. Good breakfast spread and quality. Good breakfast crew especially the senior staff.

Didn't like the cafeteria young staff's attitude as well as price to quality and service ratio. Smell in the bathroom perhaps due to rusty pipes? Also for the €30 price of using the spa, you only get 1hr of use of a faintly warm sauna, adequate jacuzzi, and no sooap/shampoo/lotion. Turkish bath unusable.
