Location, cleanliness, staff. I left my cell phone in the pub but did not realized it for a few hours. As I was walking back to check the pub for a lost cell phone, one staff member was in his way to the front desk to take my phone and had figured out the room number and the name of the person (me) who had been served at the table where he had found the phone.

Parking at front was tight. There is parking farther back, but make sure you unload your suit cases on the front and then park up the hill otherwise, you will have to carry your bags down a number of steps.

The location of the hotel was amazing, the view was incredible. Room was very clean, comfortable, accessible by elevator, had a safe and mini fridge. Meals were great. We walked across the bridge to town and loved seeing it.

We were on Floor 1 which looked out onto a parking lot. The air conditioning was not on in the hotel. Our room was very warm and uncomfortable for sleeping. We opened our window but there were other customers in the parking lot outside our window smoking and chatting late in the evening. Unfortunately we could not get a peek in the convent as it looks like restoration is on-going. Parking is a concern. Luckily we had a reservation for parking in the garage (which was not included in cost of our stay).

Really beautifully located near the bridge over the valley which connects the old city of Cuenca. The parador has a swimming pool and indoor carpark. The courtyard is a perfect place to have a drink or bite. The room, my daughter and I occupied, was really spacious with a separate bathroom and doors separating the areas creating a small hallway. The sauna was also very comfortable after a day of walking around the old town and nature around it.

The restaurant is really beautiful, however the choices for a real meat lover are minimal. But this is really a minor flaw

The location was great, most of the staff were pleasant and friendly. The garage parking was a necessity although expensive.

The mattresses were very old, well used, uncomfortable, not fit for purpose, and did not enable a good night's sleep. There was no information in the rooms about the cost of the mini bar contents, which could have implied that it was free! The bar staff were not very hospitable. The rooms were a bit tired and there was a need to keep on top of the maintenance. Also the tennis courts and swimming pool needs attention.

A truly exceptional hotel in a converted monastery, right opposite the iconic 'hanging houses' and Cathedral of Cuenca. 1 minute from Saint Paul's bridge which leads directly into the heart of the historic quarter. Everything is in easy walking distance. The dining-room is the old monks' refectory with the splendid original ceiling. The cloisters are now an extension of the bar where you can relax in the sunshine. The dinner, B&B rate I paid was very reasonable given the magnificent surroundings. The bar prices were very reasonable too. You need a card with a black strip to operate the safe.

Over-bath shower could have had better water pressure but was fine.

This is a historical parador: the place is full of charm and ideally placed to visit the old Cuenca or go walking in the sierra around. They have a great restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. There is an outside swimming pool - great in the summer, with nice views; but probably cold in the winter...

They advise a game room but did not provide games in it. So really just a room with a table - you are better off in the cloister. The gym is not well fitted. Very few parking spaces - you can stay in a paying parking.

Beautiful building and in a perfect location Parking though expensive was easy although getting past all the "abandoned" cars in the drive to the hotel was harrowing as was finding the hotel in the maze of one way and traffic restricted streets which both my SatNav and Google Maps seemed not to be able to cope with The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast, probably not worth the money but, OK.

I found it a bit lacking in atmosphere. All very elegant but no genuine warmth in the welcome.

Superb location with stunning views across to the town. We had a standard double room so no views. The extra to get a room with a view was a lot more!! We had half board option. Food and service very good!! Friendly staff generally. Room comfy with air con.massive bed. Good clean bathroom. Motorbike friendly. Motorcycle parking near main entrance. We originally booked garage parking at 22 euros a night but we cancelled that on arrival as the area felt secure!!

All good.

Unparalleled location, the history of the building and the magic of the central courtyard lit up at night. Sensational breakfast!

The only thing that would have improved my stay was for more information about the facilities and history of the building to be available in English - for example a booklet in the room would have been great . Unfortunately my Spanish is not up to much and I would have loved to find out more during my stay.
