Location Breakfast was great value Staff helpful & friendly

The room was the smallest bedroom l have stayed in in almost 6 weeks It was noisy from road traffic & walkers outside Plus l could hear foot steps & toilets flushed from upstairs residents no sound proofing

The location, location, location, lovely lobby, helpful staff and ease of check in. We very much appreciated staff having English. The hotel is walking distance to wonderful cafes, restaurants, beach, etc.

The room was a bit stuffy and dark. I couldn't open a window because the noise of the pipes from the other buildings was too noisy. The walls seem really thin and we could hear water flushing and rooms being opened and closed. You couldn't tell what type of a day it was (weather wise) until you went down to the lobby as the window looked out to the internal walls of the hotel. However, we knew we weren't going to be in the hotel room for much of the day so it was fine.

Reception was helpful, staff spoke numerous languages, nice touch at reception was fresh water dispensers with citrus and some sweet treat to help yourself to. Rooms were comfortable including the bed, shower was good. Breakfast was a highlight which is unusual as I usually find hotel breakfast are not worth while .. this one was really good and included in our price. Fresh orange juice from an orange squeezer was a real bonus, plus Cava if you wished..this may have been because it was Christmas season, but a lovely idea. Plenty of fresh fruit, lovely breads and pastries and good jams, cold meant and eggs etc .. very impressed.

As the bathrooms have limited space they would benefit from split or bi-fold doors opening into the bedroom rather than a full door opening into the bathroom, this would make a world of difference.

Very good location, close to the beach and the old part of the city. Nice breakfast too, good internet, room not big but good for someone traveling alone, and newly renovated. Peaceful and quiet place, no outside or inside noise.

When I arrived very early in the morning by night bus, there was someone at the desk who told me to come back by 2 pm to check in, a bit unkind he was, and as it was a rainy and windy day, I was waiting in the lobby. The next guy kindly gave me the room already in the morning hours, very grateful to him, because I was soaking wet.

Great location for 'old town' and beach. The breakfasts were superb: hot food/ cold buffet/ fresh fruit/ cereal/ sparkling wine/ walnut cake! If you know the Academie hotel in Bruges with its superb breakfast choices then rest assured the Sercotel Europa matches that quality. Attentive breakfast manager ensured fresh helpings of everything were delivered when required. Desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We parked our car in a local garage round the corner which provided an excellent friendly service. Bonus was local small bar/ bistro where you felt like a local and were served like royalty.

The local boat trip is a waste of time/ money!

The location is fantastic. Car parking garage available at €25 a night only round the corner. Staff friendly. Clean room.

First room had a broken fridge there was brown residue in it, second room had a very old bathroom and the fan didn’t seem to work so the bathroom seemed up badly , was also over charged twice having booked through booking.com in advance for 1 night , I was re charged and then on arrival we were charged again …. I did get money back but I still ended up slightly out of pocket when the exchange was taken in to account with my bank etc. would not put me off staying again!

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location close to a great local bar ("Sebastopol") also close to the central areas and the coast. Wonderful breakfast on the ground level

Phone charging outlet was wobbly and didn't work. Receptionist's directions to the train station(s) turned out to be not very helpful... especially as google maps suddenly stopped working on the way that particular morning...and asking for directions from locals was funny in retrospect as each of them seemed to point into different directions... should have taken one of the buses departing from the central bus interchange. In the end I had to take a taxi to Hendaye as I didn't want to miss my Intercity train...

Excellent location. 10 mins walk from bus station. Few min walk to seafront and old town. Reception/ breakfast room staff so nice and welcoming, friendly, helpful & professional. Fantastic breakfast selection of fresh produce!!. Room was spacious, spotless, little balcony with partial sea view a bonus. Toiletries provided good quality, also tea/coffee in room !! Highly recommend this cute hotel in san sebastian. We had 2 lovely nights here and would stay again. Thank you. 😊

Location was good, amid old town, restaurants, shops, beach. The breakfast was very rich and good.

The room was quite small and with inner courtyard view, meaning we could't enjoy the balcony and a lot of noise from the neighbourhood private building. The garage which belongs to the hotel was very near, but due to everywhere repairing and constructing something in the centre of the city and a lot of one way streets we had to go around more times the whole city to reach it :(( The photos on the site are not always representing the reality.
