Lovely clean and spacious hotel within easy walking distance to the centre and old quarter. We were given a free upgrade to a suite, which was a very nice touch. The room was really spacious with a separate living area and a huge TV in each room. Also a walk in wardrobe in the bedroom. A little bit of luxury on a fabulous weekend. The pool on the roof terrace was well kept and very welcome after a busy day sightseeing. The bar was also very reasonably priced. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we like to eat in new places, but it always smelt good. All of the staff were very nice, friendly and professional, and we will definitely stay in a Double Tree hotel again. And I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Girona.

The hotel is located next to a big road, but it is a city. It wasn't especially busy and didn't cause us a problem.

Nice hotel on the outskirts of the centre. Which for me I don’t mind as I liked the walk into the historic centre 15/20mins through the shaded park. Staff friendly, breakfast buffet was good on the day I had it. Other days I went to the supermarket over the road. Easy enough to walk to train station.

The pool was one of the reasons I chose the hotel given the hot summer. Sadly I didn’t get to use, I tried to go in the morning and eve and all the pool side seating was always taken/saved with belongings so couldn’t use. Could do with more seating by the bar area, only really bar stools available. Pool was only small but would have been good for cooling off but always had people in, kids playing so I didn’t get to use the times I went. Rooms a little tired in areas. Only had water in the mini fridge first night, kept having to ask for milk/tea replacements when should have been replaced as part of the cleaning routine.

Very good breakfast, room very good with lots of space for clothes etc., bathroom very suitable for disabled person staff all of them were lovely in terms of showing excellent customer care at all times. Particularly the reception my partner asked quite a lot of questions about the history of the area and they helped him and found out some information on their computer and printed it off for him. Beds were very comfortable, good wi fi reception and overall would recommend Double Tree Hilton to any other visitors coming to Girona.

Arrival by car the street outside the hotel was very congested fortunately there was a space opposite for disabled parking otherwise we would have been riding round to stop off to arrange check in and underground hotel parking for some time . Perhaps guests should be given prior information about checking in arrangements if coming by car to save the stress of finding somewhere to park to obtain the necessary parking information and where to go to underground hotel car park.

The property was close to central Girona and the secure parking underground connected by a lift to the hotel was an added bonus. The staff at reception and in the restaurants were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

It was a bit run down and needed some repairs - the outside kerb by the revolving door had done away, and in the room the bathroom door and some edging strip were peeling away. We booked the evening meal in the restaurant and although the starter and dessert were lovely, the main courses were not at all appealing to the eye (I had the vegetable lasagne and the mushroom sauce it arrived in was a huge brown blob. The burger my husband ordered was not very appetising at all and very basic.)

All the staff were friendly and efficient and spoke English well. The room was a good size and so was the balcony. The rooftop pool was a blessing at the end of those very hot days. And it created a community atmosphere. Which is a big plus when you are travelling alone. The position of the hotel itself was out of town enough to have peace and quite, but not to far that you couldn't walk to most things.

The restaurant food was good, but expensive.

The room and whole hotel were spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfy. The rooftop pool was a nice extra and wasn't over crowded.

The power shower was amazing, but the shield should have been wider as it flooded the bathroom after the 3 of us used it. Hotel parking was very convenient, but at 14 euros a day I felt it was a little steep in price

the staff was very nice and helpful (we even got an upgrade of the room). The room was wonderful, extremely spacious, and very well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom could be improved.

The protection from the shower was leaking at the bottom, so we always ended up with a pond on the floor. The water temperature was floating, and in a couple of occasion it was too cold. We reported the problem but it was not fixed as apparently nobody else reported the same problem and the water heating is central...

This hotel goes above and beyond. The rooms are clean and well presented, with modern appliances and ample space. Friendly staff at the front desk do all that they can to make sure your stay is wonderful. The rooftop pool is amazing, and it was nice to sit in the water and watch the sun set.

There is very little to criticise as I fully enjoyed my stay here. The only real issue is that the staff on the rooftop pool and bar are clearly overworked and stressed out with their roles. I think the hotel needs more staff up there to keep things running well.

Wonderful hotel, very helpful personnel, big breakfast. We have arrived on my birthday and had a room upgrade to junior suite which was amazing. The rooms were spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. Thank you very much!

Everything was perfect. There was a small issue with the parking as nearby municipal parking was full and street parking is very limited, but we've been lucky finding a spot.

Everything was perfect. The reception area and reception staff were very welcoming. All areas were spotlessly clean. The room was a lovely size with all facilities you need. Very comfy beds, lovely strong shower. The restaurant is superb. Wish we'd discovered that on our first night. The food is excellent and we highly recommend. We had a lovely time at the DoubleTree and would definitely return to the hotel.
