The staff were excellent at both the reception and in the restaurant all very pleasant and helpful.

It is in a bit of an urban area, so there is not much around, and it's a heck of a walk into Girona centre.

location - about 15 20 mins away from the tourist sights in Girona, good location in a nice quiet area with lots of cafes and supermarkets around. room - clean, spacious, massive bed, had a kettle and hot drinks options as well as a fridge, complimentary water, ironing board, iron, hair dryer. 10/10 staff - lovely friendly staff on reception and housekeeping bathroom - really spacious and modern plus you get a warm cookie on arrival ☺️

the air con wasn't cold at all and the room was really warm. we asked for a fan but reception did something which made the ac cold. also the shower head wasn't the cleanest but thats just a minor thing, not a big issue, loved this hotel.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good location, ten minute walk from train and bus station, about 15 from Old part of the City. Nice restaurant on site, small pool on roof terrace. Room clean and well serviced.

Air con not that straightforward, didn’t seem to be an option to entirely switch off, but worked well when we wanted it on. Room furniture, bathroom etc starting to look rather ‘tired’ and worn out in places. Some more sun loungers needed around the pool - surprisingly few available. Certainly nothing that spoilt our stay here.

My stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Girona was fantastic! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat during my trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. I thoroughly enjoyed dining at the hotel's restaurant, where the pizzas were absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The relaxed atmosphere and great food made every meal a highlight. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its excellent service and warm hospitality!

Excellent location, close to motorway but city centre and station easily walkable. Room was a good size, spotlessly clean and quiet. Breakfast was good and included cooked options which booking suggested it didn't. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely rooftop terrace with pool and bar. Metered parking around (free overnight) but free car park nearby. 15 mins drive to airport.

Rooftop terrace pool and bar closes at 8pm, which is a shame. Would have liked shower gel in bathroom rather than just hand wash. Hotel's own car park is very expensive if you use it. Not a hotel issue, but beware of getting a train to Barcelona. Trains are good, but station ticketing system is extremely confusing (and requires ID), it's very slow to get served and tickets are rather expensive.

Lovely, friendly and engaging staff on reception. After asking for an upgrade we were offered a suite on the 5th floor which surpassed our expectations. Two rooms with adjoining sliding door, with plenty of wardrobe space and en-suite walk in wardrobe. Two huge TV’s (sadly only 4 stations, none in English). Large sofa bed. Fridge at eye level. Large safe. well lit and bright rooms. Air con was a bit chilly. Super king size bed with quality bedding and sheets. Adequate size bathroom with over bath shower and quality products (easily accessible) wet clean and very comfortable. Modern design. Within walking distance of station and town. Large park close by. Plenty of cafes on route to city. Supermarkets close by. Would stay again. Got to see a different part of Girona away from main tourist areas.

Franchised restaurant which looked promising but was disappointing and expensive. Quality of service very poor. Food was average. Friendly staff but not trained to a 4 star standard dining experience. Roof top pool. Lacked atmosphere and not enough seating. Music far too loud, Spanish drum and bass. Music did not match the ambiance of a pool area. No shade and not enough loungers. Prices were good for hotel. 3 euros for glass of wine. Unable to sit and enjoy a drink comfortably. Small pool.

Location was good for us as it was easily accessed by car, and we could walk the 20 minutes to the city centre. There was also a bus from outside the hotel to the old town. Driver was very helpful. Bedroom was comfortable with tea and instant coffee making facilities. Ladies at the bar and dining room were very helpful.

There is a €14 car parking fee, which wasn’t pre advertised. The receptionist’s instructions re access ro the carpark could have been clearer and less confusing. The much advertised pool was closed in early October.

Reception and Restaurant staff were excellent. Welcoming, professional and courteous. The hotel is well situated for a walk into the city centre and the rooms are well designed for a very pleasant stay. Good aircon, shower, mini fridge - all worked well. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the meal we had was very good indeed. I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again.

The roof top pool was a little disappointing as there were a lot of flying ants - probably the time of year and unavoidable but for those who are not fond of insects this is not great. The pillows were also very soft. An alternative in the room would have suited us better but these are trivial negatives really.

Located near a park which was ideal for our dog. Breakfast was varied in choice and good value. The staff were friendly and accommodating to requests and needs. The room was excellent for comfort, etc. We have used this hotel several times over the last few years as a stop-over en route and return to Spain due to its location I.e. close to motorway.

Choice of beverages in the room and quantity of milk. (There were only fruit or herbal tea bags) Being a real tea drinker, we resorted to having coffee instead. €25 for accommodating our dog for one night is a bit pricey compared to other hotels we have stayed at. (The average price we have paid is €10-12 in other hotels.)Maybe this can be reviewed and based on the length of stay and increased accordingly.(I.e. A dog staying for a weekend compared to overnight would cost more)

Room was excellent and facilities within it were of an extremely high standard. The breakfast was superb,I've never tasted scrambled eggs cooked as well as what we had and the carrot cake was sublime. All the staff were very friendly and the reception staff could not do enough for us,we were really impressed. 😁😁😁😁

One tiny thing that needs addressing are the wheels on the bed. When you lie up against the wall whilst in bed it starts to move slowly away from the wall but can't fault anything else.
