The staff were very helpful - they arranged to change our original room (which was very dark and only had a small window) for one that was lighter, with a larger window overlooking the street. They provided a kettle and tea / coffee on request, and gave very useful recommendations for where to eat in the historic old town. The roof terrace and and terrace bar were lovely. The towels were very good.

There was some noise from other rooms and from traffic in the street, so some improvements in sound proofing would be nice in future.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean everywhere even under the bed ( something rolled under the bed so had to retrieve it!). Had a room on the 7th floor with a balcony overlooking the road with a view of the mountains,. Room was quite large with a nice bathroom also. Fridge in the room stocked with beer, juice, water which were fairly priced. Air con hot and cold , the weather was cold when I was there and the heating done the job perfectly. TV in the room mostly Spanish choices. Lovely breakfast room on the lower floor with lots of choice with nice coffee and tea (even English breakfast tea which you don't find everywhere) with friendly staff. Reception staff also very friendly and helpful. Perfect location in the beautiful city of Girona. Just 10/15 walk from train station and minutes to the old town over the bridge .

Only couple of niggles. You could hear car noise from the room I was in - from the busy road outside (didn't bother me personally though). I could hear people talking into the early hours. I was not quite sure where it was coming from ? It was not from above but might have been the balcony room next door? the mattress was a bit hard to my taste.

The room was small and there was not an external window. It was into a very large shaft and there was natural light, but not massive amount of light. Its not immediately obvious, if at all, that the room we booked was an internal room from the booking.com app. It would be good to know and maybe I missed it! I did hear from one of the guys on reception that the hotel has both 3 & 4 🌟 rooms and that ours was a 3 🌟 room. Again, I wasn't aware when I booked the room. The main aircon was also switched off in the hotel. This again *might* have been the difference between the 3 & 4 🌟 rooms. In the end I left the window open and after about 3hrs the room did cool down from 25°C to a more pleasant temperature. Would I go back? yes, I absolutely would.

Location was perfect, very good breakfast . Hot and cold and lots of it . Ideal for cyclists heading away for the day . Great breakfast

If you have a late flight and need to hang around the town for hours on a very hot day it would be great to use a shower facility at the hotel before departing the town . Lots of hotels have this service but this hotel does not .

Hotel Ultonia is located a 10 minute walk from the old town. As soon as you enter you feel calm as the decor is white and cool. The lovely receptionist who greeted us, Glenda, went above and beyond for our entire trip. She gave us great advise on what to see and how to get there. Service with a smile for Glenda was natural and it was lovely to meet someone who genuinely loved her job. She was the most friendly and helpful receptionist we came across on our travels. The rooms were bigger than we expected and we even had a balcony to sit out on that we didn't expect. We had two rooms and everyone agreed it was the best nights sleep of the trip. Excellent location, excellent staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is LOVELY! The staff were always super helpful and our room was clean with everything we needed. The breakfast is SO GOOD! Rooftop bar was also lovely with amazing mocktails. The icing on the cake was the two bike storage rooms, each complete with a bike wash station! Perfect base for a cycling holiday in Girona :-)

Location of the hotel is amazing. Easy to walk from the hotel to the city center. They have an internal parking garage available, which is convenient and the rooftop terrace offers very good cocktails and amazing view over the city

The rooms are a little outdated and a little small. Beds in the rooms are okeish, but still the value for money is pretty fair. Same goed for the bathroom, everything works and is clean, but little outdated

Very smart reception with highly professional staff. Great buffet breakfast with a really good selection of cereals, hot continental food, fruit, pastries, breads and condiments. Clean and comfortable rooms with nice views of the city and streets. Excellent bike storage room complete with bike "spa" (high power hose to clean off that Girona gravel)! Overall really impressed and it was a great spot for cyclists.

Walls were quite thin, to the point where we asked to move rooms due to noisy neighbours - we were seamlessly transitioned to a better room very quickly, which we were thankful for!

Lovely room with outdoor terrace on the top floor. Buffet breakfast is always good quality, good selection and never too busy. Location is perfect as it's right in the centre and close to the old town (walking distance).

Great location - 10 mins walking distance from the train station and c. 4 mins walk to a big square that leads in to the Old Town, which means it's nice and quiet in the hotel itself. Rooms were a great size, comfortable bed and fabulous shower. All very clean. We did have breakfast there one day and there was a good selection of food choices, from cold to hot. All the staff were wonderful - incredibly helpful and friendly, despite the fact they were working over xmas eve, xmas day and boxing day. There are a couple of restaurants in a few seconds walk from the hotel, if you can't be bothered to walk the 4 mins to the square and beyond! All in all, I would happily stay there again if I was to return to Girona.

The rooms are slightly dated in terms of decor I guess but how large and comfortable they were more than made up for that.
