Have stopped here several times on the way from Santander to Rojales. Excellent standard of accommodation and value for money. Lively restaurant with a good choice of evening meals. Caters for locals as well as travellers. La Roda is an interesting small town to stroll into if you have time. Spanish breakfast included with very friendly service. Good parking, fairly secure because it's at the front and in the light. The hotel is also a work-placement setting for catering students, who work under expert supervision to provide efficient and helpful service.

Everything OK.

Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, superb powerful shower, decent free WiFi speed, ample parking, great location on the motorway yet absolutely quiet. Room had air conditioning, bathroom had soaps & lovely soft large towels, & to top it all one can choose breakfast via the table waited restaurant. The manager was super friendly & showed us the room. The waiter was friendly too. Will definitely stay again as exceptional value for money noting the comfort & features.

Sadly the cleaner entered our room to get ahead with her room change whilst we were eating breakfast. We still had 45 minutes before check-out and i updated her we’d only be 20 minutes whilst we grab breakfast, just to be politely helpful to her. Noting I had over £6000 of laptops in the room still, my iPhone & our luggage I found it so unprofessional & poor from this cleaner, I cleaner should start checking the room out whilst it’s still occupied within the booking time. I sadly needed to report this to a staff member though I write it here again in-case the subject doesn’t reach management. The stay was otherwise 10/10 so I just hope this message helps the cleaner receive some training regarding guests & her role.

Breakfast was sufficient. I would have liked a choice but it was just tostada, orange juice and a hot drink. Young man on reception was very polite, courteous and friendly. Nice to be able to have restaurant and cafe onsite.

A better choice of breakfast. It only needs to be simple. Eg. Cereal. Not everyone like tostada. Some repairs need to be carried out in the room. The bracket that holds the shower was broken, so you had to hold the shower in your hand. Not easy when you are trying to wash body and hair!

We were delighted with everything about this hotel. So convenient off the slip road, the cleanliness of the room, the breakfast served in the dining area, the friendliness of the staff and finally the price. As an example, after a long journey from Santander upon arrival we needed a glass of wine. Duly ordered and presented with a bottle, two glasses. Cost 3 euros. When was the last time a Brit paid that in a hotel?

Details of how to find your hotel are inadequate. You only state "Autovía A-31 Exit 40, La Roda, 02630, Spain" however you fail to mention that there isn't an Exit 40 if you are travelling on the A31 in the direction of Madrid!! Had you done this we would have known to have taken Exit 41 and then travelled back down the Autovia in the opposite direction. In the event we took a side road (not an exit) off the Autovia which just added to our problems. I should add that we had already driven 300 miles, it was dark and raining!!

Breakfast was good , this is a bit like a truckers stop but much higher quality.No

No lifts so not good for people with restricted mobility. We found location a bit difficult as mapping doesn’t recognise the junction and service road where the hotel is located.

We booked this hotel as a convenient stop by the motor way . We weren’t expecting much other than a bed. Thinking Uk travel lodge !!! How wrong could we be . Staff amazingly friendly & helpful . Room more than adequate and bed comfortable. I asked for a blanket and a new one came within seconds - with a smile ! Bar friendly - not hotel prices . Breakfast great . Uk motorway hotels have a lot to learn from the Spanish !

For a budget hotel at a budget price it was 10/10

The welcome was great, the room was ready and there was plenty of parking in the huge car park. I ate an early dinner and enjoyed a lovely meal which was great value for money. Slept well. Highly recommended, just off the motorway.

Great breakfast options in the cafeteria , good stopover when in transit from southern Spain to Bilbao ferries to uk .good value. Alongside the motorway.

All first floor rooms with no lifts and lots of stairs.Not good if you have mobility issues

The water pressure in the shower is too strong for the shower head. When you turn on the shower, the head moves up, causing water to shoot out of the cubicle onto the floor. It is a small point but annoying, particularly as I had to mop the water on the floor after.
