I'll start with the delightful staff. Thank you, Yasmin, for making our stay very pleasant. I booked three rooms (one for my mother, one for my partner and me and our dog, one for my two adult children). The common areas are very nice and modern with an electro twist. Service for our dog was very good, and all the staff was very helpful. Great breakfast offering. Superb location near the metro. We stayed for 4 nights. I would recommend this hotel again.

The rooms are a bit old, dark and small (we were all on the 1st floor), with the cheaper rooms (overall a bit expensive) so views into the patios: not that pleasant. I think it's a bit too expensive (20-30%) for what they were (including breakfast), but overall the staff over compensates for this. Only real drawback : the free wifi is extremely slow and not usable in the rooms; there is a paid version that I did not try.

The staff was extremely helpful, informative, and friendly. The room was good size and very clean. The location was good. Not too far from town center and the metro was very close. The breakfast was very,very good with many choices. There was even five to six choices of fruit juices to chose from including blueberry juice! The breakfast staff was excellent. They worked hard and were very informative giving us tips of places in the city to go to. The hotel was beautifully decorated with many lounging areas.

The hotel is siituated within easy reach of central Madrid and has good bus and metro connections adjacent. On arrival we received a warm welcome and were shown to our room. The room and en-suite were spottlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast room was very well laid out with an extensive range of fresh food and drinks, including some hot dishes and it has a lovely relaxing atmoshphere. All staff at the hotel were friendly and helful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The room was really nice: big, bright, and mostly quiet. Nicely furbished with modern and functional furniture. We were on the third floor on the side street, which was perfect for us, as the room gets plenty of light but with probably less noise than on the main road. The location is perfect to explore Madrid, full of services, calm, walking distance to most places or metro/buses nearby.

To mention something, it was quite hot in the room and we found the pillows a bit uncomfortable (nothing major, we could have probably solved both things by asking the staff). One could hear when a chair or bed was dragged upstairs, which could easily be addressed by putting some soft material under the legs of all pieces of furniture. The hotel rates are rather high, but at least one can say the price is worth the services received.

Perfect location, central Madrid with 2 minute access to Metro, 20 minutes from the airport, Granvia & Sol in walking distance for shopping and good restaurants and a small convenient store and a pharmacy across the street. Good breakfast, the best service staff at restaurant. Facilities were nice especially toilet: bidet, seperate bath tub, rain shower. Amenities were pretty good too: steam iron, bath salt, enough cloth hangers and a seperate hanging area in addition. Something I found especially comforting was Netflix streaming - hotels always have tvs with WiFi or smart functions but mostly without capability to stream Netflix direct. This was a big plus along with Bluetooth speaker which was nice to have.

Everything was amazing. So these are more of things I felt could have been better: work table in the room has a big desk light but the switch was under the desk which is inconvenient. Free WiFi could have been better speed, I didn’t mind paying but as it was a work trip I was mostly out so it wouldn’t make sense to spend on just WiFi. Drinking water was provided only on the first night, Nespresso machine was great but one coffee / one decaf only. Breakfast was good but overflow was sent to another area with just a Nespresso machine for coffee instead of the proper machine and slightly fewer items than the original breakfast space.

Avani is located a few steps from Alonso Martinez metro station and it's an excellent place to explore Madrid. There are endless restaurants, cafes and bars all around to cater for all tastes and culinary preferences. Chamberi is one of the best neighborhoods in Madrid, in my opinion. Room was very spacious, especially the bathroom. Shower was great and so were the toiletries. Bed was comfortable and room was very quiet and even though we stayed on the 2nd floor with a view to the main street we couldn't hear anything outside. Heating system worked great and the room was comfortably warm for the cold weekend we stayed in Madrid. Breakfast was amazing with a rich buffet full of local Spanish dishes, fresh fruits, great quality bread, cheese, jamon, pastries, eggs, tortilla de patata and much more. Definitely recommend to stay here if you are looking to visit Madrid.

Only one pair of slippers were available in the room even though we were 2 guests. At check in reception could provide a bit more information about facilities and services of the hotel (breakfast time, gym, restaurant and so on).

Great location, right next to metro so easy to get to hotel from the airport. Mostly walked around city and the hotel was perfect as a base. I was also a big fan of all the cat decor/art in the hotel. Our room was really nice and the bed and pillows super comfy. Also got a little welcome treat from the hotel when we checked in which was a lovely touch.

The bathroom was nice (great shower), however it had a bit of a smell of drains after toilet had been flushed.

Super comfortable bed. Large room, quiet, and gets completey dark during the night. Bathroom is spacious, plenty of room to put your accessories on counter top. Large desk, good place to work. Very close to metro station Alonso Martinez. Restaurants and cafés nearby.

There is a door stopper right in the middle of the room entrance, close to the bed. You stumble on it every time you walk towards the door. They have electricity outlets close to the desk, however, they put a piece of furniture/decoration in front of it. Corridors are dated, narrow and dark. Room decoration is a mix. Lot of mirrors everywhere, cleaning ladies probably have a lot of work with those mirrors. Elevator is really small. Entrance of hotel is hard to see - it is in a corner. If you are passing at the street, you do not see it.

The Staff was great and super accommodating. I arrived on a super early flight and it was still long until check in but as soon as someone checked out they cleaned the room and allowed me to check on earlier. Also there was some problem with the reservations and to avoid inconvenience they just gave me a better room. So thanks for being so accommodating! I was only there for a day for meetings and it was perfect.

Location-safe and quiet area, about a mile to the main train station. Staff-friendly, and most helpful when medical assistance was needed. Details-top sheet, fluffy pillows, comfortable bed, ample (and tasty) breakfast offerings, plenty of electrical plugs, rain shower head option, consistent water pressure and temperature.

Could not open bathroom window for better circulation.
