The whole hotel is stunning.. full of original features and tastefully decorated. The courtyard where you can eat breakfast is so special. Sit amongst the citrus trees and chandeliers and relax! The breakfast food was excellent. We enjoyed having options to try the local food. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We would definitely return.

We stayed in Room 10 and loved the room with its private plunge pool and courtyard. However it was noisy in the late evening when people returned home from a night out as the stairs, lift and doors to the first floor are directly outside the room. You could also hear people in the room above.

Great experience, our room was number 5 and it had a fireplace, which was very nice in December ( the temperature without it was still very comfortable, but it made the atmosphere ). Clean, very nice design, comfortable bad and pillows, breakfast, very welcoming and helpful stuff, size of the room and bathroom, everything in fact. We also went to the SPA and we liked it ( dry sauna was not really the best one, but the rest of the areas were lovely).

A beautiful room and bathroom with lots of space. Lovely to return to in the afternoon for a couple of hours break. Lots of choice for breakfast allowing you to have a different breakfast every morning. I recommend the carrot cake. The breakfast area/cafe is exceedingly beautiful giving a great start to the day. The ladies who serve breakfast are hard working and helpful.

The charge for extra water for the room was surprising for a hotel of this quality.

Breakfast was in an exquisite courtyard - everything was delicious. Enough to make me think I should always eat breakfast. The room was absolutely divine - spacious, beautifully furnished, lots of antique prints and ships' logbooks on antique trunks; we spent a lot of time on our rooftop sun-terrace, which gave us stunning views over the city and harbour. The hotel doesn't have a full restaurant so we had dinner out every night - the concierges were so kind and helpful recommending places to eat and booking us in. The hotel is small - only 8 rooms - and you get a lot of attention.

The room was on the top floor with a sloping ceiling - the low side was quite low and my poor husband banged his head on the beams a couple of times. There was a communal fridge on the first floor with ice and cold drinks and an honesty notebook - it would be nice to upgrade the room fridges so they had a little freezer compartment.

We love this hotel and stayed last year. Brilliant location and wonderful vibe when you walk into the hotel. One of my favourite places to stay in Europe.

Due to lack of availability I booked Room 7 which is described as a Comfort Room. Beautifully done, still a great stay, but the bathroom is not a separate room. I will be back to room 5 next time, availability allowing. It has a fabulous bathroom.

The website is misleading so we felt disappointed that the spa had to be paid for separately. The website made it appear that it was part of the hotel and included in the booking.

The hotel was beautiful, our room was so spacious and tranquil. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast in the courtyard was such a great start to the day. And it was the perfect location! The spa was also very special. If you have a car, we paid for the private parking. I think this is worth it during busy seasons. 100% recommend.

We loved everything

Boutique feel. Central location. Excellent breakfast.

We were upgraded to an apartment suite although we were never told precisely why. There was no cutlery in the apartment despite us reporting it and it did not materialise after 3 days.

The room was charming. Large room with a super king size bed. A large bathroom with a beautiful bath and a separate walk in shower. . Breakfast was a choice from a menu all served to your table. You could have as much as you wanted and the quality was excellent. The courtyard where breakfast was served was just beautiful. We ate dinner in the town where there are many bars and restaurants all within a 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Absolutely nothing

Room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The hotel is lovely and nicely restored. The spa was a beautiful surprise. Breakfast was always very nice.

The bed was not very comfortable. Shower leaked like crazy, it needs a door installed. We needed a towel to soak up the excess water before it ran in to the room.
