Location and great, helpful staff and super breakfast

Very poor food in lobby restaurant. Also rooms were old, especially our toilet door was uncomfortable when my spouse came in and I was there, all corridor could see me sitting there.

We like this hotel a lot and we stayed there this autumn with family to celebrate a special occasion. We were unlucky with the weather as it rained heavily for some of the time. Nevertheless the hotel has lovely facilities and we always enjoy Marbella. There is a spa (we didn't use it), an indoor pool and a gym. The grounds and the large outdoor pool are beautiful and perfect for relaxation with plenty of sunbeds which you can enjoy by the pool or on the grass or opposite the sea. There is a very large pleasant lounge indoors and lounge areas outside. Breakfast is excellent. We ate one evening in the Erre restaurant where we struggled a bit to please the different dietary requirements of each of us but the staff did their best to help. I also ate with my husband in Tahini, the Sushi restaurant which has gorgeous ambience at night with a sea view but is definitely not a cheap option. Cappucino, a promenade cafe accessed by a steep stairs from inside the hotel grounds is also an eating option though we think it is very overpriced. The location of the hotel is excellent, beside the sea and a twenty minute walk along the promenade to Orange Square. We love staying here and hope to return and our family with one teenager and two children of 9 and 11 loved it too.

There is bar food which you can order at any time if you don't want to eat in the restaurants - or if the restaurants are not open at the time you want to eat - and I would have appreciated a wider choice of food on the bar menu. There is another restaurant which is open for lunch but it wasn't open when we wanted to eat there.

Good location

We paid for the red level but it was more like a kindergarten. It surely must be adults only because paying adult guests will not return if it remains the same

Absolutely every member of staff was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the week we stayed which is the first time I can say that about any hotel that we have spent a family holiday in. From the moment we walked into the hotel to the point that we left the staff were very polite.

My only slight criticism would be that on a couple of days the bar service to the pool was slow, on one occasion I had asked for a drink three separate times but, to be clear the service and staff were all perfect apart from this, just perhaps slightly overstretched on a couple of occasions.

We stayed at Red Level which I would recommend as exceptional service everywhere you went. Breakfast was incredible and the two restaurants in the evening served lovely food too. Couldn’t fault it at all and will book again

Nothing really but would suggest putting a chain on the door or a spy hole on the door as we had our doorbell rung in the middle of the night and I wasn’t comfortable opening the door as couldn’t see who was behind it. For security I would recommend this.

Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Just a well oiled machine - breakfast is amazing, rooms are amazing, staff are so nice and helpful. It’s pricey but all those small touches of class add up.

There’s no value in the Mountain View rooms - we upgraded after 2 nights and the sea view rooms vs mountain rooms are chalk and cheese. The prices around the property are a bit wild, the poolside restaurant is nice but hard to justify going to with the prices vs what you can get 300 metres away. The tennis courts were open one day so we walked in to take a few shots and next thing I was signing my name being charged €22 😂 Those kinda things seem unnecessary but what do I know. It seems to go alright…

We were very lucky to receive an up graded room on arrival. The hotel is beautiful and set in lovely grounds beside the sea. All food taken was excellent, breakfast was a buffet with a good choice of food. The bedroom and throughout the hotel was very clean. Great products in the bathroom and towels could be changed twice daily if required. The bed was very comfortable and the room had plenty of strage. The hotel is in a really good postion and you can easily walk into Marbella town. We found the staff friendly, efficient and very helpful throughout the hotel especially the pool staff and Isobel.

The only disappointments were the beach. Not the hotel’s fault but beach is narrow and rocky. The sand is coarse and steep sloping. We were also disappointed with Tahini restaurant. Annoying that it is used as a cut through by people using Cappuchino restaurant. Only patrons and staff should be allowed in. Otherwise it is like dining in an airport arrivals hall. Totally destroys the ambience. We asked to be moved but the staff failed to act, even though the restaurant was virtually empty and we had the first sitting so we walked out. The first time I have ever done that.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location with great staff

There was a conference on and some facilities were not available- I think they should let you know about this before you check in. WE have stayed at the hotel numerous times and we are always asked if this is our first time- I would think the systems must recognise phone numbers and emails - just something little but can be changed without much effort.

Everything. We stayed for a week in February - family of three with a three year old. Very family friendly hotel with lots of activities to keep kids entertained - great indoor pool. And great entertainment provided by Dani in the kids hut - pizza making, cake decorating, movie night, crafts (painting hats, T-shirts, fans) and lots of sporting equipment. Amazing breakfast - very friendly breakfast staff, particularly Angel. Comfy rooms - good amenities. Red Lounge worth the upgrade - good selection of food and drinks and lovely sun terrace. Perfect location - right on the beach front. 15 min walk to Old Town. Easy access to bus stops if you don’t have a car - only €1.18 to travel to PB. Overall, amazing stay.
