The hotel is in the most wonderful location, just off the main road, so perfect to exploring, and the views, wow! just amazing, the bridge to one side and then a birds view of the countryside and mountains to the other, just incredible. The welcoming from Lola at reception was welcomed, and what can I say of the room, again, just perfect, the bed is one of the most comfortable ive had in a hotel, (and I have travelled) we stayed in room 103. We will def be back. Also must say the breakfast was very good, large selection and very good quality. It was my partners birthday, and they came out with a nice little cake , lovely touch.

The location is right by the famous bridge which is nice. Parking is in a lot off site. You have to walk to your car, maybe a few blocks. You're able to temporarily park near the hotel to drop off the luggage, which is essential. The room was pretty, decorated with unique items, not too large but adequate. It was dark, however, because the window was low and small. Their restaurant perches on the cliff overlooking the valley and the bridge. I wasn't impressed by the food but it was a great place to dine for a view. While others were served olives, bread, etc. after arriving much later than us, we sat there waiting for service. We had to ask for food these things and to order, not good. This continued throughout the meal. There are other restaurants that have great views so I suggest looking around. The staff from the hotel were very nice. The lobby area is beautiful but there really isn't a sitting area, unless you include the area in the restaurant?

The only thing that let it down slightly was the breakfast buffet was very basic and they need more than one member of staff there. The toaster was switched off, there were hardly any tea bags, only one croissant and you have to ask for water/juices which we didn't get ours until we were ready to leave and had asked for them a second time due to there only being one staff member.

Hotel Montelirio is in a great location in the old city, just across the bridge and a little uphill from there. It is situated right on the edge of the cliff, affording incredible views of the distant fields and mountains, as well as the famous gorge and the bridge. We had a delicious meal at the attached Restaurant-- one of our best so far in visiting Spain-- the "tataki atun with wasabi ice cream accompanied with japanese pickled ginger" sounded bizarre as an appetizer, but was delicious; as was the "corvina parillada with boletus"-- delicious, vegetables lightly sautéed, and the fish cooked perfectly. The rooms are more in the traditional style-- smallish, and showing some wear as this was the mansion of a Count in the past-- but it is all charming and tastefully done. The marble courtyard and stairways are elegant, and again the views from their balconies are outstanding. I found a dip in the small swimming pool to be a refreshing break from the heat, but the water was a tad too cold for my companions...The hosts nicely arranged taxi transport for us from Ronda to Arcos de la Frontera (~ €115; one hour). By day the streets of Ronda are full of visitors and tour groups; by night, the cobbled streets are quiet and deserted, and hauntingly beautiful to wander around under the moonlight.

The incredible view of the gorge, bridge, and valley were the reason that we chose to stay here, and it was amazing to look out at them from our room. We love historic hotels, and they manage to make it feel modern but still have all of the character of the old architecture and with antiques in our room. Everything was first rate

We were happily surprised that the pool was still open to use, but the water was frigid!

The Marbella room was amazing for the view and the spacious , well space. The staff was very fine and the location was great.

Parking was a challenge. Not the fault of the hotel but still a consideration. Directions to parking sent us down two streets, or rather lanes that we felt we could not navigate so we turned around x 2. We did finally make it into the parking lot and fortunately we had intended to leave the car there for the duration of your stay, which was a good idea because Ronda parking is a huge challenge.

location oh the view ! the best I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing we had the Malaga room spacious with big bathroom including bath ( u have to clamber in so be mindful if u have joint problems) the restaurant on site is superb such love and attention to the menu I had the duck with orange and husband had salmon stuffed with ham and prawns pate for starters unbeatable view but bring sunglasses staff were great staff at hotel parked car in their small private off site carpark 15 euros a night I can’t fault the property but if u don’t like firm beds then be aware

This property is the best all around! The location is perfect. The views are stunning! The staff were absolutely top! Very polite, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The food - breakfast and dinner- was delicious, fresh and the views of the restaurant were also spectacular! The room was very clean and comfortable, quiet…air con worked great! The shower had great water pressure. The hotel building itself was very clean and incredibly charming. I will definitely return and highly recommend it!!! Thank you to the amazing staff of the hotel and restaurant!

Fabulous location on a tiny cobbled street just yards from the famous bridge. Friendly and efficient check in. Characterful building offering stunning views. Large, comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent breakfast. Definitely want to return for longer visit and to eat at the restaurant, which was closed for the winter season.

Slightly unnerving having to negotiate very narrow street when arriving by car - but hotel staff dealt with parking in nearby private garage.

Beautiful hotel in the old town of Ronda. This hotel has an exquisite view of the mountains, bridge and valley from the outdoor balcony off the restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel to those travelling to the area. Although be prepared for some driving on very narrow roads (more like alley ways) and the fact that parking is several minutes away off the square in the old town. The hotel receptionist was very helpful in navigating the parking situation.
