Lots of changes happening around SPiS with the relocation of the town, as it is soon to be "removed". We had a clear view of the demolition works, which was interesting to see how the town was changing. We found the breakfast offering great and the staff, especially Elliott, very friendly to share their knowledge of Sweden with us. The bus station was just around the corner for easy transport options. Walking to the new city centre was more of a bus trip than walking. Access to the Co-op / Supermarket was within 15 min walk. Was surprising to realise how many people were staying there. It was quiet, we thought we were the only ones sleeping in our corridor.
Sad to know that SPiS won't be there after January 2025.!

Fantastic breakfast. Plenty of space in rooms. We were given different rooms to what we booked but this was fine. Comfy beds, clean rooms and shared facilities. Depending where you were, toilet and shower facilities were variable. Big kitchen kept clean for self catering. Very close to the bus station where there are free transfer buses to the rail station.
Restaurant has been moved to the new city centre so we couldn't eat there. A little tatty but by the looks of it it's going to be next to be demolished as the town moves. The flats next door were being dismantled as we stayed there.

The breakfast included is really amazing, lot of diversity and very good products There is also a washing machine, a dryer and a sauna included in our booking. There are also huge refrigerators and freezers, and a large kitchen, which allows you to be self-sufficient. If necessary, the staff is also nice and very helpful. The information received in the welcome email are also really relevant
Perhaps we could educate travelers to hold the doors when they close because the repeated slamming of the doors makes a lot of noise. Kiruna town is in a very unusual situation with a large part of the town moving to a new town due to mining activity, this creates a bit of a weird atmosphere between the parts being deconstructed and those under construction. I greatly admire the mental strength and resilience of the inhabitants of Kiruna who have been living this situation on a daily basis for several years and for many years to come. For my part, it disturbed me a lot from the very first hour of my stay

Helpful staff, clean and spacious hotel room. Was given a free upgrade from the hostel room to a double hotel room, and had a great stay there. Washing machine, dryer and kitchen (microwave, stove, fridge, oven all available) for free. Free drinks like hot chocolate and tea at the reception which was great for a cold day. Bus interchange is right beside the hotel which gives good connectivity to attractions like the new town, or ice hotel.
Located in the old Kiruna town, so other than the Kiruna Church that is right down the street (2 min walk and good view of it from hotel's breakfast location), there are no other shops that you can visit other than a supermarket, and a restaurant/bar 10min walk away (Hotel Bishops Arms). To eat other food, you will need to take the bus to the new town. Some shops reported to be open on Google Maps were unfortunately not open.

Great breakfast, clean kitchen facilities, and pretty good location. We had a private room with shared toilet. From other reviews i was fearing toilets will be horrible and there won't be anything to do in the old center. However, the toilets/bathrooms were totally ok for a hostel, a bit old, but functional and clean. And big part of restaurants, bowling, spa, swimming pool were in the old center or between the two centers.
The fact that hotel doesn't provide dinner option (their restaurant is moved to a different location) could be clearer, there were quite a few guests that missed that bit of information. The rooms were cold at some points, but i guess that's unavoidable with old windows and stormy weather.

Breakfast was really good, which I definitely took advantage of before my excursions. I definitely stuffed myself, so I would last long days away from the lodging. It was sold out during my stay, but they managed to keep it clean (grateful). I never had to wait to use the toilet but I did wait one morning for the shower (not too long). I could have also used a shower on another floor, but I was not pressed for time.
It’s located in the old center, so not a lot of food options outside of breakfast. This was not a problem for me, but I think some people might not prefer this.

The dorm rooms were nice and clean but a little small if all the beds are occupied and there was not a lot of storage space. The lockers were quite small (eg: small backpack fits but nothing bigger) The included breakfast buffet was super nice with many options. The hostel's location is perfect and there is a transfer bus from the train station to drop you off right in front of the hostel. The hostel's kitchen is pretty big with a lot of utensils and is free to use. the rooms are nice and warm.
The room's ventilation/heating is super loud. Not a very social hostel. No hairdryers which is annoying in -20 degree weather.

We enjoyed staying here to spend our short holiday. Our flight arrival was around 10pm and the check-in process went smoothly. Room assigned was just at the same floor level as their restaurant/cafe. The room size was decent, clean, and organized. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean w/ complete toiletries. The staff greeted us early in the morning when we were about to have our breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great, with a great selection of foods from deli, breads, grains, fruits, drinks, and spreads. The ambiance of the restaurant was so cozy. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

I got free upgrade because they had empty rooms, breakfast was very good sometimes I did not get so good breakfast in much more expensive place. It's on the edge of old Kiruna what is being demolished.
They told me there is free bus transport to Kiruna train station but there was not any bus at time I was supposed to leave there. Ended that I miss it. But not their mistake more that bus provider. But good thing I could go for breakfast and take bus instead to Lulea so could see different landscape.

I stayed here for 3 nights and what a wonderful place! They informed me the free shuttle bus from train station which dropped me right on front. Cassandra is learning english so be patient with her and Mikael is amazing !!! He wasn’t just helpful, but very generous and excellent conversation. Early check in is supported when available which is fantastic, had a shower and went out and about for the day. Now the breakfast is insane , literally better than5* luxury hotels I’ve stayed in so many options you get confused what to eat! Linnen is fresh and good quality bedding is warm and comfortable. The laundry is free to use as is the awesome sauna , has industrial kitchen available for cooking Up a storm. Also they sell items for convenience if needed . And have a bar . Now the showers are a little tired but hot and gold enough. They are moving old city to new city therefor not renovating atm. The oldest and biggest church is across from Hotel and local pub 3 min walk. The hill to walk up to see auras 15 min walk so don’t do tours ! Best place to do husky sleigh is Kiruna husky . Book directly through their site, well loved dogs and well managed operation.
