Most perfect lodge we could have found. Very comfortable beds, private bathrooms in the room, and the (shared) kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. Each room key opens an individual fridge so you can securely store all your food and drinks. The host was extremely responsive and made check in a breeze. It’s about 8min walk to the ski lift and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. There’s also a safe for each bed in the room if you want to secure any valuables while you go out. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Parking is very limited. We ended up leaving our car at the ski lift lot overnight (20CHF for a whole day and night) which worked out best anyways.

Everything was far better than expected, the common kitchen is super big and available on 2 floors, you will get seperate fridge per room and storage box in the common kitchen itself. It has a dishwasher which washes dishes in 2 minutes only (super fast). Being an Indian, I can tell you, you can cook anything out there just bring your own indian spices. We a family of 5 with 3 senior citizens, stayed for 2 nights and we didn't want to come back from there. Engelberg is itself an heaven on earth and top of that this hotel's location is just next to the railway station. You can reach the titils cable car by walk in 10 min or by bus (from outside hotel only) in 4 minutes. They provide you everything from travel adapter to nail cutter to playing cards on request. We loved our stay. Thank you so much..

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel. The only very small thing which I didn't like was the owner's atitude, he sounded a bit arrogant (only a bit) :-) but that's ok with someone who has 3 properties in engelberg (he only told me :-)) I can suggest this hotel to anyone, being a family, a couple or a group of friends.

This property surprised us with how nice it is! When I booked a room with three bunk beds for our family of two adults and four teenagers, I thought it might not turn out well. Quite the contrary! We had a beautiful view of Mount Titlis and other mountains from our room. The staff was extremely helpful both in person and by messaging. Our room was big enough for all six of us and the bathroom facilities were great. The kitchen and dining spaces were very nice, although we only used them for eating, not cooking.

It would have been nice to have more, less expensive options for breakfast. We ended up buying pastries from a local bakery.

We've been travelling round Europe interrailing- definitely best hostel kitchen by a mile. Clean, well stocked with everything you need and your own fridge and cupboard. Loved sitting outside eating our dinner and playing cards, looking at the beautiful mountain landscape. Beds comfy. Enjoyed a fabulous walk up into the mountains - maps do not give much in the way of directions - we didn't realise quite what a hard-core climb we were taking on but worth it for the amazing views at the top! Might be worth asking for advice on routes.

Professional and cozy at the same time! Clean, well-equipped, modern hostel. Nice view!! You need to download an app (they will instruct you from the start) which can be very convenient for your stay. Everything from checkin-checkout, room key, breakfast order, to all tutorials, etc. is in the app. We really liked the shared kitchen. A lot of community spirit. Everyone gathered and enjoyed cooking their meals, and left it very clean. Nice experience!!!

Nearly nothing. But only the shower area is quite small and the water can splash everywhere.

The hostel is family friendly. Little kids have space to relax and enjoy their stay as well. The kitchen made it more comfortable for families traveling with children. Location is great, just next to the train station, but it was quiet enough in the room, not to hear any traffic at night. The staff are friendly and responsive to requests and questions.

The key app sometimes took a little while (2-3 minutes) to open up, but cannot complain about it. There are always someone around to help out if you have technical difficulties with the app or with hostel facilities.

GRAND is an excellent family-friendly place to stay at a very good price (compared to the rest of the village). Lots of space in the common kitchens and fully equipped to cook pretty much anything (not only prepare snacks). Location is excellent, right at the city center and 5mins away from the ski lift (if you wanted to walk). The rooms are spacious, very clean and very warm. The staff is very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. The application is very nicely made and super handy. Will definitely choose to stay again if visiting the area.

Very thankful that such properties exist, where we can cook, connect, relax and spend some time with our friends and family. Perfect Room, perfect kitchen, close proximity to main station and city centre. All the staff members(except one) are so kind, friendly and helpful. Appreciate the easy use of phone to unlock everything from the front door till your own refrigerator in the Community Kitchen (sometimes u need to restart the app but that’s ok.) There is a very small elevator to carry either one stroller or a couple of big bags.

A Home away from home.. amazing On every single level, starting from the location just across the street from the main station & center yet still calm.. lovely rooms & service.. lovely kitchen.. the idea is perfect & the staff are great wonderful people on every aspect... We were happy to find a home in Engelberg on our first visit! We felt safe, welcomed & totally enjoyed it! =) we'll definitely come back again!

I didn't like leaving it!!!! =) Hope to come back soon!

Location was really good.Breakfast is not available at the property,they only arrange it if a demand is made in advance.Igor was very helpful in everything and I really liked his services and in person he was very welcoming for his guests.The Grand Singh bar is a hit at the property.Jasvinder,owner of the bar was very helpful and welcoming for all the guests. I really liked the vibe of the bar.Alexander,the manager was also very helpful during the check in and check out and if any requests were made by us,he made sure to fulfill at his best.

The concept of the property is good but there should be at least one person at the reception to attend the guests.
