The service was exceptional - from a relaxed glass of champagne on arrival to help putting chains on our car tyres on departure. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated with a stunning view of the mountains and Engelberg. We ate at the Thai restaurant which offers outstanding food and at the European restaurant which has a small but well cooked menu. Breakfast was plentiful with options for high end warm dishes. The infinity pool was amazing with various jets and a separate warmer jacuzzi. The outdoor hot tub and sauna in a cable car cabin felt especially luxurious, surrounded by snow and Christmas lights. The indoor spa (2 saunas, steam room and special showers) is quite small, but during our stay we had it mostly to ourselves. For a romantic and relaxing short stay, it was perfect and we plan to come again!

We travel extensively and have to say that this is one of the most superb hotels that we have EVER stayed in. The location is stunning, the rooms large and beautifully appointed, the Wellness centre quite extraordinary and the food excellent. There were small touches (take anything from the minibar - there is no charge) that add up to a lovely experience. What makes a hotel seem like home is the quality of the service and every person we met at Waldegg was very friendly, very welcoming and extremely warm. A special mention of Isolde who ferried us around with a big smile - but this really extends to everyone we met. Can’t wait to return.

Amazing Hotel in Engelberg! We have enjoyed to the fullest our stay at Hotel Waldegg. The staff was extremely friendly and the provided service was fantastic. Every day we received a printed forecast for the next day mentioning the weather and what activities we could do. The Spa was great. There is one big swimming pool inside and a hot water tub outside on the terrace. The saunas were nice too. The Hotel is a little bit up on a hill, but you can easily reach it by bus or taxi. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was delicious. There was a buffet with lots of choice. Furthermore, you could also order additional hot meals from the menu as scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc. The staff in the breakfast room was very friendly as well. The hotel has also 2 restaurants, one for European cuisine and one Thai cuisine. We tried both of them and enjoyed our meals.

The hotel facilities were exceptional, with the highlight being the pool, which proved to be a haven of relaxation. Spending time there was a truly rejuvenating experience after a day filled with activities in Engelberg. The cleanliness and maintenance of the pool were impeccable, greatly contributing to my enjoyment. I cannot praise enough the delicious breakfast served each morning. The variety and quality of the food surpassed my expectations. From healthy options to indulgent delights, the breakfast was a feast that provided the perfect energy to start the day exploring Engelberg. In summary, my stay at this hotel was great in every aspect. The combination of exceptionally friendly staff, high-quality facilities, and a delicious breakfast created an unforgettable experience. While my overall experience at the Engelberg hotel was positive, a minor suggestion for improvement would be to introduce a room service menu. This addition could enhance convenience for guests, offering more dining options within the comfort of their rooms. However, this suggestion doesn't overshadow the generally positive impression I had of the hotel

The heart of this property is the staff. I have never met such pleasant people before. They truly love what they do. We ate on premises at both of the restaurants. Both are equally good. Food is Michelin worthy!!! Hats off to the chef. You never need to go anywhere else for your meals!!! The rooms are spotless. Super clean, cozy, and breathtaking views from room balcony. Breakfast was one of the best we have had across our tour through out Europe. Our server was lovely! Isolde and other front desk staff were super helpful. Very friendly. Restaurant staff was incredibly attentive. Best dining experience! We will return for sure! Housekeeping was spot on. Very friendly lady that catered to our requests with a smile. We can’t wait to return to this place. It’s become our new favorite.

There is absolutely nothing negative about this place. Wonderful property.

Very luxurious, stunning views, large rooms, fantastic service and delicious breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs to order. We were skiing and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. They even come and pick you up from the village if you need a lift. The spa was superb and the perfect way to recover from a hard day skiing. Totally peaceful at night (as it can be very noisy in the village) Fabulous stay would totally recommend.

Amazing location, breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very welcoming and always there to make our experience unforgettable. Hotel manager was very kind to give us a lift to the ski resort. Room was very clean and had beautiful view. Spa facilities really good. Would definitely return. Thank you to all the staff.

Staff was amazing! You cannot tell the owner apart from the staff. He acts like staff and the staff acts like owners! Amazing customer focus! The view is by far the best in Engelberg. Try the Thai food restaurant! There are no children!

Gireplacexarea is kinda hidden in the background. I would have loved to see a nice wood burning fireplace next to the amazing view where you can have a drink and read.

Wonderful hotel with very attentive and friendly staff. All things were very well planned out. The breakfast was really excellent, the egg menu was great. Location from the centre of the village was a bit far, however there is a free skibus that stops right outside the hotel. And being a bit further away meant that it was absolutely quiet.

Shower in the bath was a bit small, that was the only minor downside.

Me and my husband had the loveliest stay. Even though it was a one night stay, it felt like a whole perfect weekend. The staff was exceptional - professional, kind, helpful, funny. They really made us feel as home and as valued guests. The room and view was amazing, spa and saunas just what we needed. Breakfast had a bit of all the main things: some bread, salmon, hams, some fruit, overnight oats, nuts and seeds, plus they made lovely omelett and pancakes. We will be going back.
