Very large comfortable space , clean , urban area with many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets close by , covered area will not get wet waiting for your Uber , parking space underground clean private and safe , close to many interesting places.

I am a light sleeper between 3 and 4 am the seagulls will start talking and shrieking, the garbage truck will join them and some how there is talking and laughing that goes with that, it’s life in the city.

Very central hotel close to the train station and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (a must to visit!), nicely renovated while keeping its historical touch. Holmes & Watson were supposed to stay there before Holmes "died" in the Reichenbach fall. We got a large room with balcony on the back of the hotel facing the calm garden and the mountains, beautiful. Nice service.

For some nights, it was fully OK. If we had to list some points of improvement: the beds were a bit hard for us, the non-practical door of the bathroom (for the timid ones, beware that the bathroom cannot be fully closed/isolated from the rest of the room as in our room there was an open space above the door so you can hear everything) and the croissants/viennoiseries at the breakfast were not the best (frozen probably).

This Hotel is near the station and only a short walk to get to the funicular to the Reichenbach Falls. A beautiful looking hotel that reminds me of the days back in the 1800's. I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else.

The only thing I found as a British person and it's in all Swiss hotels there's no milk for the coffee. If anyone id talking in the corridors, it echos, but not really a problem. Would definitely like to come back.

The room was big, with a nice view. The bed was comfy. The views of the room were fantastic and the location is really great. The breakfast was very good - good selection of different things, freshly squeezed orange Juice and one machine that makes pankackes that was my absolute favourite!

The shower could be a bit better (the hot water took a bit too long to come). It would have been nice to have more fruit diversity for breakfast (there was only apples and a fruit salad with apple, orange and pineaple). It was also great if there was a swimming pool.

Beautiful old hotel right in the centre of town, close to everything. The breakfast was amazing with great staff Beautiful outlook

There were a few things that didn't work like the phone & the door to our room so it made it difficult for me to get in & out of our room. The hotel said they would fix them both but didn't. Some impractical things like we had the tea/coffee making facilities on the bedside table, actually right on the bed when there was a perfectly good desk but no way to plug in the kettle because the electric socket/plug had been put in incorrectly Instant coffee & tea supplied but no milk. The hotel needs an upgrade

This is my favorite place to stay in Meiringen. Its historic. Its rooms are comfortable, with great seating. It's quiet. Breakfast is good, and the location cannot be beat.

I know it's Switzerland -- and they love their cows (and milk products). But in this day and age, a dairy-free alternative really should not have to be a special request for breakfast.

Huge room with comfortable sofa and chairs made for easy relaxing after our days walking on Via Alpina. Nicely fitted rooms with tea coffee facilities included. Great choice of breakfast food.

No evening meal available at hotel restaurant but plenty of nearby options. Breakfast room was a little chaotic with big asian tour groups dominating the restaurant. Bathroom rather outdated but functional and worked fine.

This was our 2nd time at Parkhotel du Sauvage. It didn't lose any of its aura and charm. The decor is stunning, the staff are very friendly and it's in a very central location - 7 min walk to the cable car, 2 min walk to the train station and with Sherlock Holmes Museum, skating rink and multiple restaurants and shops around

Rooms are on a small side, but good for 1-2 nights's stay

Room was clean, breakfast was good, the check-in receptionist was friendly. Less than 30min walk to the Aareschlucht gorge.

Rooms have no air conditioner, too hot to sleep at night during summer and can’t open the window due to strong wind:(

This is a venerable institution, featured in Arthur Conan Doyle's The Final Problem as Englischer Hof. It's a grand hotel situated in a small park in the very centre of Meiringen, next to the Sherlock Holmes museum and some 7 min walk from the gondola lift. Lots of period furnishings and decor (1880-1930s) have been lovingly maintained. Our triple room was very spacious, recently renovated and with a balcony and a splendid mountain view. There's also an ample parking space and the most chic ski room I've ever seen.

There are limited dining options - just the Sauvage Pub, located in the same building, but under a different management. There's no swimming pool either.
