Location was perfect for my plan to be part of the Swiss National Day festivities on 1st August. On my doorstep was the street parade with folk in national dress, the brilliant jazz group and the fireworks. It was an easy walk to Denner for groceries but heaps of restaurants to choose from along the street. Buses ran very frequently and it was simple to get to free bike riding in Villeneuve in one direction and the funicular in Vevey in the other. The hotel is old but has character. Bed was very comfortable. Quiet from 10pm till 7am. Housekeeping was diligent and the room was very clean.
That I couldn't stay longer!

The location is perfect, right across from the festival entrance, steps from the waterfront, nearby restaurants and shops, and just down the hill from economy stores and authentic bakeries. The family room, although it does not face the water, is large and the private bathroom and shower are located in an adjoining separate room.
We just needed a mini fridge, which was not included in our spacious family room. Also, the door unlock feature was quirky and required numerous explanations from the staff and some experience, because of the way you need to tug on the handle at the same time you tap the key, which is below standard for typical card entry.

Location is fantastic, overlooking the lake and mountains, lot's of restaurants/shops/ferry terminal, Train station just up the road too. And five min walk to view Freddie Mercury statue and 10/15mins to The Queen Museum. The room was small but nicely decorated. Just a heads up though, if your from the UK take some tea bags.
The room was at the back of the hotel with a view of run down building's was hoping for at least a nice garden. Only two plug sockets so had to keep changing plugs, one socket high up on the wall with no shelf/table underneath to put your item on, had to balance phone on a door handle, the other had the A/C unit in it.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful lady on reception who assisted with good local knowledge of places to go/eat/visit. The location is excellent. Close to the centre of the town and directly opposite the promenade. My room, with charming small balcony, had an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was cold continental, but the bread/croissants were fresh and tasty. Nice breakfast room with view of the lake. The hotel does not have 'facilities' as such, its a simple bed and breakfast style property, but it is quaint, clean and very well located (just 5 minutes from the rail station and 1 minute from the Riviera Trolleybus stop). They do have a locked luggage facility if you need it. On the ground floor there is an excellent restaurant that serves great pizza and entrecote amongst other things. My room was compact, but ample space for me as a solo traveller, and it was listed as a single room. Small ensuite, but nicely tiled with rainfall shower. No complaints here at all, everything was laid out well. There is a kettle and tea/coffee, but no fridge. The great part about the room though was the balcony overlooking the lake, just stunning! I definitely plan to book again if I travel to Montreux in the future.
The room was quite warm (bit of a heatwave in Montreux) but the hotel didn't have any fans available as it was too early in the season, so I had to buy one myself. I happily left this with the hotel when I checked out as the staff there had been so hospitable. Wifi was a little unreliable, but this could have been due to storms disrupting the service in the area, as it got better once the weather cleared up. Nothing really to complain about in all honesty.

We really loved this location. It was right off of the lake and had easy access to busses. The only inconvenience with location is that it is DOWN the stairs, or elevator if you can find it, from the train station. Many, many steps down or up. We were able to walk right out of the hotel door and get on a bus to Chillon Castle, then ride back, eat dinner right nearby and walk along the waterfront to see the statue of Freddie Mercery and snap some pictures. The room was a really good size and they had family rooms, which were great for the three families we had with us (2 adults and 2 teens each). The bathroom was also huge in the family room. The front desk staff was really amazing and friendly. The air conditioning was a bit loud, but worked well. Price was fantastic for the location.
The room had a slight smell that was just a bit off. It is an older hotel, more like a boutique than what the USA would consider a hotel. There was an elevator that fit 2 people with suitcases, so many of us took the stairs. Shower had only a half wall, so water did splash out onto the floor.

The lake-view room is totally worth the extra. Watching the sun set over Lake Geneve at the end of a busy day of sightseeing was just perfect, especially since you'll have a nice little balcony to sit on. The room is cozy and comfortable. The bathroom felt modern and albeit a bit small, perfectly fine for me. The breakfast was self-serve and even if it didn't have any hot foods (which I initially thought lacking), I left the room with my belly full, so mission accomplished. The location is also great, just at the beginning of the boulevard, so you're close to restaurants, the train station and the main sights.

Location very convenient indeed. Friendly welcoming staff. Accommodation not top notch - but we got our balcony with lake view so no complaints for this price category in Montreux. Basically it is a simple bed and breakfast.
On our last day we ordered breakfast for 7 as we had a train to catch. (The breakfast room opened at 7 anyway.) At 7 our key would not work to get into the breakfast room although we could see all the tables had been laid. No one was around to let us in and no one was available at reception. No other guests were around either. At 7.15 we had to give up and leave. I left a note at reception with our room and breakfast room keys with a request to refund our credit card with the 22 Swiss francs for the breakfast. I then waited for a week and sent them a separate email explaining again, direct to the hotel. I then waited again, before writing this review... Sadly we have heard nothing at all nor received a refund. Unfortunate as apart from that we very much enjoyed our stay.

We had south-facing rooms on the third floor and the view was breathtaking - mountains, lake and the ever changing weather (it was April). Fell in love with the hotel and Montreux. Our little balconies were lovely and the location, just over the road from the lake front, is ideal. Montreux is absolutely gorgeous. The planting of the promenade and the temporary and permanent sculptures are superb. We walked along the front to Chateau de Chillon - a must see. Just up (and up) from the hotel is the charming old town with good characterful places to eat, although there’s lots of choice along the front as well. We loved the free travel pass - spent a good evening in Vevey and had a couple of trips up to Haut de Caux with fabulous views and an amazing walk in snow!
It was difficult to keep the loo seat up in our room and we could have done with another bedside lamp. However, such quirks are almost part of the hotel’s charm so we didn’t bother to ask for any changes. Think twice before going on to Rochers de Naye on the funicular from Haut de Caux. It’s another 37 CHF each, even with the travel pass (50 CHF without) and often lost in the clouds so you won’t get the view. (Also it doesn’t run when there’s an avalanche risk. We aimed to go there but were glad to give it a miss and walk down to Gloin from Hauts de Caux with great views.

The balcony was very nice, I loved the view. That's why I booked the hotel in the first place. And it's very close to the main station if Montreux, very good location, lots of restaurants and the lake right next to it. The check-in staff was always very friendly and extremely helpful with everything. I also loved the bed. The WiFi worked very well.
The noises were very loud, in front of the hotel there's a big street with lots of loud cars and the room was right next to the lift and the stairs, so I heard everyone going up or down all night long. Inside the bathroom there was mold on the walls and it wasn't very clean. Other than that, everything was ok.

The location is extremely convenient, get down from the train station, walk right until you get to the Irish pub, take the lift down and continue walking left. You will reach the hotel in no time. The hotel is facing the river, and there are many restaurants nearby! There are also supermarkets (Denner, Coop) in the mall nearby. The hotel provides the Montreux card which is a big help in navigating around this place. The hotel admin lady is extremely friendly and the room is very comfortable. Absolutely loved the bed!
The room is not the cleanliest (bed is okay though!), and sounds can travel between the rooms upstairs (so you can hear the thumping noises) but i felt it wasn't a very bad issue as the noise would stop closer to sleeping time.
