Hotel Rouvenaz has an amazing location less than 500 meters from the Montreux train station. You can run to the train station to catch a train in less than 10 minutes with a suitcase if you really tried. This makes it great as a base for day trips, and it is equally near the Montreux city center and promenada in the other direction. You can cross the street and jump into Lake Geneva from the hotel. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. There is slight noise from people passing in the street below (which did not bother me) given how close the hotel is to the promenade. Great value for money. The hotel is also attached to the best Italian restaurant and gelato stand in town, though hotel guests get no discount.

I was annoyed that the staff was not proactive for lack of a better term. I stayed 8 days and did not receive my Montreux card until two days before I left because the receptionist was more focused on checking if I wanted to buy breakfast or make a reservation in the attached restaurant than asking if I needed the Montreux card, and it cost me some money in lost train fares and the discount to Chillon Castle. The arrival instructions note that the hotel is walking distance from the train station but do not note that the promenade street in Montreux is two stories down--and that there are actually elevators leading down. I almost hauled a heavy suitcase down two stories of stairs had a bystander not pointed me to the elevator.

Our group of three stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment with 1.5 bathrooms, which was incredible. The views from the living room was beautiful and the apartment itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable for our group. It was nice to have a "home" to return to every night. The apartment is very close to the train station and to multiple supermarkets, making it easy to make day trips and to cook. All the staff were super friendly and lovely, especially Palmi. Would love to stay here again if we are ever in this area in the future. Big thank you to the staff who made our stay so enjoyable :)

It would have been ideal to have a washer/dryer free to use in the apartment since we are travelling for a few weeks. There was a miscommunication about this during our stay, but it was quickly resolved. That was very much appreciated by our group.

What I like the most is the bed, which is very comfortable with nice mattress, bedsheet. During the Jazz festival, the whole town is noisy even in mid night, this hotel at least is far away from those spots, so the sounds are not so loud and we can have a sleep. The food in restaurant is delicious, we have a very nice lunch there.

We came to the hotel is out of the checkin time, even there is a lift, but still have some stairs to go down and up to get to our room, it is difficult for my daughter and me to carry a big luggage to get to our room. This is unexpected.

the location was great, we had the room with the lake view, which was amazing. the staff was friendly and helpful, we arrived later than working hours, so they left us clear instructions on how to collect our keys, easy check-in process. the room is a bit outdated, but we liked the view, cleanness and the bathroom was very good and clean. there was a little balcony with chairs, sitting in the morning during sunrise is very beautiful and romantic :)

the room had strong oily smell when we entered, but we opened all windows and it went away pretty quickly. not sure where it came from though.

Yes the hotel met my expectations. Just off the front. Easily reached from Train station. Breakfast was adequate selection was not large but standard continental type, buffet style. Room fine, large bathroom. Lift it all floors.

Our room was at the front and if like us you like a little air circulating as you sleep ie window open a little there was street noise vehicles, loud talking from revellers . There is no aircon so when the weather is warm this might be a problem. Also cereals provided at breakfast without milk to hand although provided when asked for. Also kettle provided in room but no cups , provided but had to go down to reception to get some. Staff were great.

I liked the service and very warm welcome! We arrived earlier and though the room wasn’t ready the receptionist has found another room for us and allowed to check in earlier, and in general very attentive to clients. In the room there was a big bottle of water prepared though not every 3-star hotel provides such nice stuff. The bathroom was very spacious in our room. The location is just perfect, near the train station, near bus station, port, walking area along the lake. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

-Location is walking distance from train station, and near to eating places and promenade -Comfortable for our overnight stay -Room is big enough to accommodate our 3 luggage -Lake view from window is great -Body soap provided smells nice -Many cabinets/wardrobe in the room although we did not use them -Good pillows provided -Clean, minimalistic room -Nice toilet and shower

-Better to look out for the lifts on the way from train to hotel rather than taking stairs while carrying big luggage. -Window opens to neighbor and it seems to be too near. Luckily, we did not see any occupants. -Bed is soft for us, but I guess some people prefer this type -There is a short steep slope going up to hotel which may need a bit of manoeuvering

We ended up staying in this apartment as our original booking at another hotel was cancelled on the day. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment was huge and was perfect for our family of four. The balcony was a particularly wonderful! The property is more expensive than what I would usually pay and I felt the price was steep for what it was; however, we had little choice due to the initial issues we had.

It would have been nice to have a washing machine in the apartment.

Perfect location to access all surrounding shops and lake, along with the local buses. The room was a good size and contained a kitchen which we made use of for breakfasts after purchasing goods from the local supermarket.

An additional full length mirror would be helpful in the bedroom or living area, plus there are no coat hooks which would have also been useful for our jackets etc.

The apartment was very good with two single rooms and a Double room which at our request was made up with two single beds. Kitchen was useful and so we purchased food in the Coop by the Railway station and made our own breakfast. The hotel offers breakfast as an extra cost for those who want it. plenty of Italian restaurants in the area.

The lift was rather small so we had to make two trips for our group of 4 people. The lift is also next to the rooms but appeared quite in operation.
