Lorenzo at reception was so kind and helpful throughout our stay! We had two nights here before boarding the Glacier Express from St. Moritz. We had no idea what to do in the area, but Lorenzo gave us plenty of options to keep us preoccupied. The biggest surprise was getting a free public transportation pass. It allowed us to easily get around. For the price, quality and location, staying in Pontresina is a much better value than staying in St. Mortiz. Many thanks to Lorenzo for adding to our overall positive impression.

The only downside we found was that the bed was not comfortable (too soft and saggy).

Great location. 1 min from train station. Great restaurant on site. Great housekeeping!! Great view. Elevator. Great breakfast. One of the desk clerks helped us with the room key and the TV. He was very helpful.

One of the desk clerks was very unfriendly and unhelpful. He made us feel like we were always bothering him, even with a dinner reservation. He got upset when we asked for help with our canceled train. He said it was not his problem. We wanted directions to the bus station-He did not like helping us with anything. When you don’t speak the language it is hard to not have someone to answer a few questions. This situation really bothered me. The TV was lacking choices in English. Only had BBC. Would suggest a Smart TV.

The breakfast was fantastic. They had the best croissants of our entire trip. Also great meats, cheeses, fresh bread, yogurt, multiple cut fresh fruit. It was amazing. Staff at the front desk was very helpful. He called a taxi for us and helped connected us with a doctor when my daughter was sick. Very professional. Also loved the location. We had no noise at all from the train but it was so convenient to pop over the catch our train. It was also a great value with the train and mountain trams of the Engadine included. Would definitely stay again!

Didn't love the pizza at the restaurant.

We stayed at the Station Hotel the night before boarding the Bernina Express at Pontresina and the location of the hotel was perfect as it really is just across the road from the station. The room was quite small but perfectly adequate with a comfortable bed (although VERY soft Swiss pillows) and a small but perfectly adequate shower room, with a very effective shower. There were plenty of electric sockets in the room although only one is beside the bed and there are no USB sockets. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate. As the row was quite small, it wasn't particularly good for sitting in but a general sitting area was available. The hotel is a bit outside the main area of Pontresina with its hotels and restaurants (and most of these were closed as we were visiting very much in the off season) but there is a nice Italian restaurant attached to the hotel and other options were within walking distance.

There are a few steps up to the hotel and then there were an equal number of steps back down to the room. When one is travelling for a significant period and therefore has a large and rather heavy suitcase, this is not ideal. But this was a minor point and we managed.

The hotel is next to the train station and you can easily reach St.Moritz but the frequency reduces in the evening. The Pontresina town us 700m from the hotel and has got one coop. They had good breakfast spread and hot bacon strips and scrambled eggs were the winner! We went to Alp Grum from here, and would recommend to go there via regional train! We also had dinner at Ricardio's restaurant which was very warm and cozy during snowfall.

The lady waitress at Ricardio's does not smile, seemed like she was paying for our dinner. Or may be she was overworked. Others were normal and nice.

Most of Pontresina is up a hill from the train station. When arriving by train it was great to only have to move our luggage about 100 yards to the hotel. Quiet, comfortable rooms, very adequate breakfast, and the included transportation ticket was wonderful. It covered the Rhaetian railway system, so going up to Bernina Diavolezza and Ospizio Bernina was free and convenient. Buses are also covered, so trips from the train station to St Moritz and Silvaplana were also easy. Great place to stay. Front desk staff friendly and multilingual.

Really nothing except the distance to restaurants, shopping, and grocery store, but the bus pass makes those trips quick and easy.

Hotel is located next to the station (hardly any noise though) and a short walk from the village of Pontresina and very close to the starting point of various hikes in the mountains. Good restaurant attached to the hotel with excellent waiters. Breakfast buffet offers good variety and quality of food. Sauna in the basement. One bike hire shop virtually 20 yards from hotel.

One female reception staff member was efficient in a mechanical way and not particularly helpful when asked. The male receptionist however was always friendly, with a greeting and more than happy to help with special request.

Fantastic location, close to station for convenient access to Bernina Express. Also hopped on a local train for a 10 minute ride to St. Moritz. Stunning views from our room. Rooms had rustic charm; clean and cosy. Wide choice for breakfast and all food delicious, especially the croissants! Was good to have access to restaurant in hotel for evening meal. Good choice of dishes. Pontresina is picturesque. Lovely walks nearby. Bit of a walk to the centre of Pontresina but can use local bus service if preferred. Overall extremely happy with choice of hotel.

Young Lorenzo at the front desk extremely welcoming and helpful. He helped us bring our luggage up the steps and was extremely courteous. Although the room did not have a kettle he procured one for us. Since we were going to explore the area by train, the location of the hotel was very convenient ( it's literally across the road) The restaurant connected to the hotel serves good food and is open till much later than other eating joints in Pontresina, so even if we returned late from our day trips we were assured a good meal

The location does not give you any view as there is the train station on one side and a parking lot as well as a road on the other. The rooms do not have any air-conditioning or fans so on a warm day it does get uncomfortable. The rooms were clean but basic - no kettle or mini bar The bathroom is really tiny. A well built person may find it extremely difficult to fit into the shower cubicle.

Amazing view from the hotel. It was very warm and a cosy stay. Just 50m walk from the train station which is a bonus. The breakfast is the main highlight. We arrived early in the morning at 11am although our check in was due at 15:00. Lorenzo was very helpful and he made sure the room was ready for us to check in at 11:00. Very exceptional and helpful staff. I would definitely come back here on my next visit.
