Modern and more like 4 star than 3. Sent a car to pick us up at train station, great breakfast with a mountain lake view. Down comforters and pillow menu! Coffee maker in room.

The receptionist Katharina, she was like a ball of sunshine! Thank you for welcoming us to St. Moritz! The view from our bedroom and even breakfast was amazing! Such a pretty location. Also our room itself was very spacious for 4 people. We didn't feel cramped staying together! Breakfast was also yummy. Nothing to complain about this hotel.

Everything was good! Just remember that most hotels in Switzerland won't have a strong AC, so prepare to open a door or window for some ventilation! Also if you are going to be going to the hotel on foot from a train station... Good luck. The hotel is located in a hilly part so you'll have to drag your suitcases going up! If you have a car, then this is a non-issue. Just be aware of this! I recommend having a car or taxi bring you to and from the hotel.

Good location, close to the train station and easy access to the lakeside. Still provide pick-up service from the train station especially it was raining when we arrived. Beautiful lake view from the restaurant, but seats next to windows are always booked even for the breakfast.

When checking-out, we received 2 bills charged from the restaurant that one is already paid and another is not our consumption at all. However, the service provided in the restaurant is good and friendly comparing with quite basic process provided from the receptionists.

Fantastic location close to train station with great views across the lake. Our room was upgraded to an apartment/suite with views across the lake and so was very spacious and a really comfortable stay. It was my wife’s birthday during our stay and we had a great table for dinner with birthday table decorations. Dinner service and food were excellent.

However, the breakfast service during our three days was somewhat disappointing. The hotel restaurant is huge with many large windows overlooking the lake but all the window tables are ‘allocated’ to the residents staying for 7 nights on a half board deal. On our three days, many of those tables went unused meaning many residents were denied one of the best features of the hotel. Also, at the beginning of breakfast (7.30 to 11), there is a really impressive buffet selection but if you leave it until after 9, very little is left and if you ask for replenishing the bacon, it is a shrug and a no. The only staff who weren’t friendly or helpful were the very few breakfast waiting staff. We felt very much second rate compared to the guests staying a full week!

Very good hot and cold selections at breakfast. Our room did not have any view...we saw a rooftop with a satellite dish. The hotel does have some rooms with nice views but these are at higher costs. During breakfast you can get a view of the lake but take note that apparently the tables closest to windows are reserved....even if there 17 tables available, they won't let you sit there! Also, the process to reserve a table for breakfast was not explained to us...so a bit frustrating.

As this hotel is less than a 5 minute-walk from the train station, we did not take a taxi. But the entrance is quite high up and there is no safe path up for pedestrians rolling a suitcase. This was quite taxing and not well indicated either by the hotel. I recommend taking a taxi if one is willing to drive you the very short distance....frankly it would be nice if the hotel offered this.

I chose this hotel for our short stay in St. Moritz on the recommendation of the Man in Seat 61 website, as he says he always stays here, and I can certainly see why - the hotel is very conveniently located for those arriving by train, as well as anyone planning to take the Bernina Express. The hotel has a kind of family atmosphere, it's large enough to have all required amenities but not so large as to be impersonal. The staff we encountered were without exception very friendly and helpful, and the bar (the largest whisky bar in the world, apparently) is a great attraction, all the bar staff know quite a lot about whisky! The view from the restaurant over the lake is spectacular, and if you're there off-season as we were and reserve a table, you're very likely to get a window seat. Our room was one without a lake view but was still spacious and well-equipped, with wooden floor and furniture in a sort of chalet-style look. The shower was very good. We were visiting in the middle of a two-week trip, and I'd essentially run out of clothes so I requested the 24-hour laundry service. I gather that housekeeping were a little unhappy at the volume, and the service certainly came at a price, but they treated my high-Street-anywhere clothes with as much respect as if they'd been from the Big-brand shops in St Moritz town centre. I was very happy with the beautifully neat, clean, pressed and folded clothes that came back. I would definitely stay here again, and my only regret is that I wasn't able to tip better for the exceptional service we had (though the staff were as gracious about the tip as they were about everything else). I highly recommend this hotel.

The one and only thing we would charge would be the bathroom door! - it was a sliding door in frosted glass, and the main issue with that was that if one person goes to the bathroom at night, the bedroom is flooded with light which can wake the other person.

The room was imbued with a unique Swiss charm. The view was calming. We were departing on the morning panorama train and the hotel kindly provided a breakfast pack for the family.

It’s uphill so a bit of a trudge when laden with groceries or shopping when walking back to the hotel.

Our room had the most beautiful view we have ever had from any hotel room where we have ever stayed, and we have stayed at many hundreds of hotels. I will always remember the sunset that evening. Even if your room does not have the west-facing balcony like ours had (and several do), there are numerous spots where you can relax and enjoy the view. Facility-wise, this is a nice, but not luxury hotel. It does have a small spa (limit 8 people), though we did not use it. The restaurant has more of those gorgeous views. We did not eat dinner there, though the ratings looked decent. There was plenty of food at breakfast, but a lot of things were covered with plastic and the service was spotty. The food was ok, but not memorable. The complimentary shuttle back to the train station was much appreciated in the cold temperatures! Our rate was very fair, considering local prices, and we will definitely stay again on our next trip to St.Moritz.

Absolutely everything 🩵 The best 3 stars hotel I’ve stayed in my life. I don’t know from where to start complementing this hotel. Spotless clean, we had a tub in the bathroom with everything you need (bathrobe, slippers also). The bed absolutely amazing, very comfortable. You can choose from 6 kinds of pillows. The restaurant has gorgeous views of the lake. The food 10/10 for sure. The stuff helpful, kind, very nice people (especially the bartender who knows his whiskeys). The whiskey store and collection are impressive, you can find anything you want. The free ride to and from the train station is also a plus. I don’t know how to complement this place more. It’s a 5 star hotel on the price of a 3 stars. Absolutely gorgeous 🫶🏽❤️ I cannot wait to go back to St. Moritz and stay with them again. Thank you guys! You were the best place we stayed on our entire trip 🥂

-Outstanding view of the Lake, mountains, and St. Moritz -Staff was very accommodating and friendly.. -the owner was an exceptional host and made me feel at home. Apparently the property has been owned by his family since it was built...1700s? -upgraded my room to #501...very top of the hotel and it was worth the small increase in rate -excellent restaurant -very good breakfast was included with a phenomenal view -bar provided whiskey tasting packages....great experience and the bar tender was very friendly and took time to explain whiskeys (not a whiskey drinker- wine!...but the experience was well worth it.. -Plan to return during the summer and do several weeks of hiking and use the hotel as my base

I should have stayed a week instead of a night....My stay there was most satisfying and can't complain.
