The hotel (at least my room) surprisingly has sockets to different plugs, useful for non-native devices (while one needs to be aware of 110V). Bathroom and bed cleanings are good. The hotel has an excellent location, right in the back of Taichung train station and surrounded by shops and a mall.

The mattress was too hard for me. In the bathroom, I couldn't find the rack for toilet paper rolls (refilled upon room cleaning). My room was fully occupied by two beds (one double and the other single). Replacing the smaller one with a table and chair set might make the room significantly more comfortable.

I was surprisingly I reserved above the room under my name than upgrade for me automatically more huge advantage room types to me for twin beds room remembered was huge twin beds room I never ever been upgraded before as the experiences as ones 、atmosphered

The super courteous staff, breakfast buffet, spacious room, and the location. We booked 2 rooms for a week on the top floor. My elderly parents stayed in one room and I stayed in the adjacent room. My father has dementia and can be a pain to deal with. He would stay in the lobby for hours cutting and tearing up magazines. Upon checking in the hotel, I gave the staff a heads up on my father's condition. The staff were understanding and accommodating through our stay. I loved the view of train station from my room.

Location - 50 meters out the train station. Rate that I had for that location is unbeatable, particularly when you consider that the rooms are furnished with 2 double beds (can sleep 4 : adults) each. Comes with complimentary breakfast and is good if you are OK with Chinese style cuisine.

No hooks in the bathroom --- not even the lonely bath towel hook or hand-towel hook. Seriously. All gone. You could even see the former holes had been filled-in. I used a clothes hanger on a door-knob instead.

Twinstar hotel is a very cheap hotel which is very near Taichung railway station about 5 minutes away. Staff are very polite, courteous & helpful. Only one thing needs to improve for the toilet shower to have a plastic shield reaching to the ground level (presently the plastic shield is 1 feet above ground level, thus the water splash out making the whole toilet very wet when taking shower). Also should install a small concrete partition on the ground between the shower area & the toilet basin, toilet bowel area. I will definitely coming back to stay in Twinstar when I am travelling back to Taichung & will strongly recommend to all my friends.

A traditional style hotel in Taiwan, Taichung. The location of the hotel was very near the Taichung TRA Station which enables us to travel smoothly from Point A to Point B. The staff of the hotel was very friendly & courteous whenever we encounter some issues on the destination & they are able to guide us along the way.

The water dispenser of the hotel only offers Hot & Warm Water. There was no cold water being served.

This place located oposite to the Taichung Station and next to the Taroko mall, vey easy to find, and around the hotel has convenience stores and restaurants which very convenient. The room has 2 queen size beds and they are really comfy. The furnitures look a bit old, but all are in good condition, it's just a look of them. The thing I really want to say is I was really impressed by staffs, they are full of service mind and really friendly.

Very affordable and convenient location next to the main station with breakfast included. A basic and classic hotel that is good enough for a short stay.

Need to accept that this is a dated hotel and the room is quite dim, but the conditions are well-kept. Breakfast room can be busy.

The location of the hotel is near the train station so it is good. The staff is so accommodating.

Maybe they should upgrade the channels or the programs in the television. They should provide a smart tv that can also enjoy by the foreigners. Because the satellite channel/cable is so limited. And also the breakfast. I think they should add some variety aside from the asian cuisine, they should add other cuisine that can also enjoy by foreigners.
