The property is well equipped with a kitchen, a pool, a rooftop bar, a lot places to hang out and lots of art around the whole building. The WiFi is good as well and you’ll always find a quiet place to finish some work if you have to. The staff is really helpful and tries to make your stay unforgettable. It’s also easy to meet other people at breakfast or in the evenings at the family dinner. The hostel is chosen by a lot of volunteers who work in and around Arusha as well so don’t hesitate to ask them for recommendations or join them for common activities.

It seems to be a bit pricey compared to other accommodations in town but keep in mind that you get a quiet place with a pool. So I reckon it’s worth the value

Arusha Backpackers is a very nice hostel. We stayed there before and after the safari for 3 nights in total. It's not a luxury hotel but for the price you pay you get all you need. The breakfast is a little buffet with bread, spread, cornflakes, dates and watermelon as well as coffee and different kind of teas. The washrooms are clean and the showers have hot water. The rooms are a little small but clean and the beds are comfortable. They have a big terrace on the roof where you can buy drinks. The staff is very very friendly. The location is perfect if you want to explore Arusha or go on safari. They have a big luggage room where you can leave your bags if you go on safari. All in all this is a very good Hostel and I would recommend to stay there.

Ana the receptionist is very friendly and nice! She help me in going around the area and even assisted me to look for agent for my Safaru Tour. I stayed here in this hotel and decided to stay after my short trip to Kenya. Bed is good enough. Shared bathroom. No Air-conditioning but the room is well ventilated. Breakfast was basic with instant coffee available. View from the rooftop where the dining is located was superb! Supermarket and restaurants are available in the area.

It was comfy, amazing location. Small room but you don’t need more. Clean always, except for the other guests toilet habits but it’s expected unfortunately in a shared bathroom but the hotel kept on top of it pretty well! A lovely staff member - I can’t remember her name but super welcoming and friendly.

They made us choose our room when we arrive! You have what you’re paying for. There is also hot water.

The staff couldn't really answers to our question about bus schedules to go to Dar. Each time we were asking a question at the reception (like for the bus schedules)they were sending us to a guy but we didn’t need someone to walk us to the bus station and then ask us for money. It is a weird way to “help” customers… We didn’t know if the guy was working for the hostel or not.

Great price, very central location, close to markets and to a big supermarket. There is a nice rooftop where to chill and have a meal (though the prices are a bit high). Im afraid there are some bugs in the big cushions of the rooftop as I had a lot of bites (and they were not from mosquitos nor my mattress). The breakfast is great. Staff is very kind, too. Bathrooms have toilet paper and soap and there is hot water. Very good value for money.

You get what you pay for. I stayed in 1 of the cheap single rooms and it was as basic as you could imagine however just what i expected. The staff are very helpful and the top level bar/restaurant area is nice. The location is fantastic and you can walk to so many places.

The toilet/shower combo is tiny however hot water is great. The breakfast is average however nice that it's offered and free. The bed was not very comfortable and limited bedding.

The location in the centre was amazing. The staff are super nice. The restaurant/Bar on the rooftop was amazing. Great place to chill and relax.

Some of the rooms don't have real Windows, but only mosquito nets that go to the corridor. Sou you can't close them, and you will hear everything on the corridor. (from the street too, because everything is kind of open) Additionnaly there is a lightbulb in front of the net which I couldn't switch off, and again, as we couldn't 'close' the mosquito nets, our room was completely lit throughout the night.

We had a twin room with windows and it was small but perfect for our needs. The rooms without windows may feel a bit like a closet. Nice, clean bathrooms with hot water. Rooftop restaurant/bar is nice and an interesting view over the busy main road.

It’s a bit loud at night but that was expected since it’s on the main road. Fine with earplugs. Breakfast is basic but ok.
