OK, value for money. Good Air-con Welcoming staff Breakfast as expected, but ok- Toast, omelet, fruit, and juice/coffee. Hotek beginning to get old, so need some refreshment soon.

Bring Earplugs, dogs on the neighbors property make alot of noise several times at night.

Breakfasts there don’t have a lot of options, but they are very well done. The cook there is exceptionally good and a very friendly person. He alone will make you stay two times better. Even though there were some issues with rooms, they are good overall. You’ll get cleaning and new towels daily. The pool is good, even though we didn’t use it much. In 10-15 minutes walking there’s a great beach, the best we’ve seen in this part of the island.

Hotel has definitely seen better days and needs some renovation. We booked two rooms, one was great, but the other one was noticeably worth. Some light switches were about to break down, as well as water tap. WiFi is horrible. I guess it’s a common thing on the island, but there even the WiFi itself was not always working, let alone the connection of that WiFi to the internet. Don’t waste your money on hookah. It not a big deal overall since on Zanzibar no one knows how to make a good one. Just be aware that it’s not worth it at all

The Hotel exceeded our expectations ( 3 friends ) . From the first until the last day we felt welcomed by the manager and the staff. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, at breakfast they were always ready to give a hand. The manager Khaled was just perfect for the whole stay. He was always greeting us with a beautiful smile and answering our questions and helping us in enjoying our stay in giving us tips and ideas in utilizing out trip in the beautiful Zanzibar. Even the guard at the door were always greeting us friendly. The room we stayed in was amazing. After a long day, we'll come back to our room and find the room always clean and tidy, with new towels and the bed made. All the rooms have balcons with an amazing vue. The hotel also has a Trip guide Omar , who also was very helpful in creating and helping us in deciding our activities for the day, which we understand now that it is very important to do something everyday in Zanzibar an there is plenty to do. The hotel has also a lot of nearby restaurants and is also only 10 minutes away by foot, even faster if you ask locals to give you a quick ride. We are just happy to have landed in such a beautiful hotel and would 100% gladly come here back. Thank you MALIKA HOTEL❤️❤️❤️

Staff was very helpful. Owner was there all the time and attended the guests as needed. Very quick in responding to guest needs Accommodation very clean. Nice big swimming pool. Green plants all over. Location is good too

Should have an F&B menu with clear pricing for each item to avoid confusion later Bathroom needs work. Flow in the gutter in the shower area wasnt great. Shower didn't have sufficient force. However, I must say that when we raised with the owner, he took action straight away and helped us move to another room (thank you!). We are told that the bathrooms are going to be renovated in the near future. There are no lifts. So if you have trouble claiming stairs, need to inform the owner early on.

This was my first time staying off the beach of nungwi but nevertheless the property was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach, whilst actually being very close to nice local restaurants, food spots and convenience stores. The staff were absolutely amazing which was my highlight of my overall stay. The hotel was a great value for money, being really convenient, intimate and well looked after.

Unfortunately some of the nights were quite difficult as there was a lot of noise from local clubs/bars and I believe rescued dogs behind the hotel which kept me up a few times.

The hotel stay was really lovely, the breakfast was nice buffet style with fruit, pancakes and you can have eggs requested.. just no meat in the breakfast but you can eat enough to start the day. Not a complicated place to stay but if you do not have a rented car it is a bit of a walk to the restaurants and beach. The room was super clean and comfortable, I really would recommend this hotel in Nungwi

I needed assistance a few times and I called every number available online and on my reservation and nobody picked up. There is no phone to reception in the rooms. It was really inconvenient having to climb down 3 flights of stairs and back up again over something which could have been resolved with a call. The hotel has no generators so you will not have power during the blackouts.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Malika Hotel in Nungwi, Zanzibar, and it was truly an exceptional experience. This hotel is nestled in a perfect location, close to the beach, local restaurants, and shops, making it an ideal choice for your Zanzibar getaway. The location of Malika Hotel is superb. It's just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Nungwi Beach, and you can easily take leisurely walks to explore the local dining and shopping options. The convenience of being near the beach and local amenities is a definite plus. Our room at Malika Hotel was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed that provided us with a restful night's sleep. The attention to cleanliness and comfort was evident, and we were pleasantly surprised by the room's size and quality. The hotel's owners are incredibly charming and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was nothing short of fantastic. They even allowed us to store some of our luggage at no extra charge when we went on a week-long trip to Tanzania. Their warmth and dedication to making our stay enjoyable were truly exceptional. The entire hotel staff was friendly and exceptionally helpful, with Lidia standing out as a true star. She was always ready to assist us with a smile and made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's breakfast options were varied and delicious, offering a good start to our day. While the dining experience was enjoyable, we ventured out to explore the local culinary scene for other meals, but the breakfasts at Malika Hotel did not disappoint. In summary, Malika Hotel in Nungwi, Zanzibar, is a hidden treasure with a prime location, spacious and clean rooms, and a staff that goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. The warm and hospitable atmosphere created by the owners and staff, along with the convenience of the location, make it an excellent choice for a Zanzibar getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
