It was my second time as this lovely, small and cozy hotel! the staff (Tukae, Noro, Rose, Selena, Tina, Abdillah and Mohamed, Modesta, Frank (the hotel manager) and Yusuf and all others I might have now forgotten to mention) were just amazing and outstanding - everybody in his or her own way. I loved the authentic (!) friendliness and the positive and guest-oriented attitude and the smiles! My room (triple) was very spacious and I have seen a few improvements over my stay the previous year: my room was equipped with a water kettle and the shower area looked "fresher". The internet was working smoothly and most of the time really well! No shortcomings in terms of electricity cuts anymore (caused by the government - NOT the hotel). Dinner menu had a "half board special" including a starter, a main and a dessert to choose from (for 20USD). The choice was good and the food quality was excellent thanks to the superb chefs! I would most definetely come back!

Breakfast was quite basic - one sort of (toast) bread, fruits, two fresh juices, instant coffee and a large choice of teas. That could be improved a bit - but it was nothing really serious" .-) Apart from that - and I liked that - every morning some pancakes, cakes, hash browns and grilled vegetables were offered. There was an eggs menu as well which one could choose from and it was made à la carte. The beach club area had less sunbeds in comparison to the previous year. I could imagine that - when fully booked - some guests would have to stay without such a sunbed.

I had booked a room with three beds (as it was offered cheaper than a double/ twin) and thus I could use the third bed as some sort of stowage area. The room itself was spacious and feautured a double bed, a single bed, a seating area as well as a very small desk and a cupboard as well as a clothes rail and a small balcony (view into the backyard) which I had never used. The interior style of the room was "colonial" with beautiful wooden furniture, a fan and also a/c. Loved it! The internet connectivity was surprisingly good! The staff!!! Absolutely wonderful and warm-hearted people!!! They deserve a 12 out of 10!!! Whether it was Vincent or happy from the reception, the cleaning ladies, or Tukae, Regine, Mo, Nora or Abedllahi!! Everyone of them was fantastic and part of my great vacation experience!

Due to the climate conditions, the bathroom needs a bit more maintenance. Taps were corroded and needed some decalsifation. Due to government electricity cuts, I had two minor shortcomings but wouldn't

We recently stayed at Zan View Hotel in a triple room and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a great seating area on the balcony that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The standout feature of our stay was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and helpful service. A special mention goes to Frank, the General Manager, who was exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, always checking in and providing help where needed. The restaurant was another highlight. The food was fresh, delicious, and the variety on the menu even catered to my daughter’s gluten and dairy allergies. We enjoyed every meal! Overall, Zan View Hotel provided a perfect combination of comfort, excellent service, and a personal touch. We highly recommend it and hope to return soon.

If anything can be improved it would be to add a bin to the room and railings on the steps to the beach.

I stayed in 6 different places in Zanzibar and this was my favourite. really lovely boutique property, set on the hill with a beautiful view and breeze. short 2 min walk to the beach where they have private beach access. lots of lovely chill out zones in the property to relax. good breakfast and staff very helpful

not a complaint but supplying filtered drinking water would be good to save on plastic bottles

I recently stayed at Zan view Hotel for 5 night's, and had an outstanding experience. The room was spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff, led by the director, Mr. fanck, were amazing and provided exceptional service. The breakfast was delicious, and the views of the sea and garden were breathtaking. You will pass by 2 streets head to the bar in the beach, where you feel the local life and the wonderful people who are most of them artists out of their galleries. It was an amazing experience. the swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. The hotel's location is convenient, you can walk around to visit the different beaches or the centre of the city. I'll be back for sure.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Zan View Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. The food was fantastic, offering a variety of both local and international dishes complemented by great drinks. We especially loved the beach, which was the best section on the entire stretch—remarkably clear of rocks. Our honeymoon suite was not only spacious but also impeccably clean, and the hotel manager was always responsive and engaged, enhancing our experience. The view from the upstairs terrace was breathtaking, and we truly enjoyed the cozy and quiet ambiance of the hotel compared to some of the nearby larger resorts. Even during rains, the hotel offered lovely hangout spots such as the private beach, terrace, patio, pool, and the comfort of our own room. We would definitely book this hotel again.

The breakfast selection was good but somewhat limited; however, the lunch and dinner menus definitely compensated with more variety. Additionally, we encountered a minor issue with a broken showerhead, but it was fixed by the staff within minutes.

Evening Frank I just wanted to thank you and your team once again for being so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. You made us feel so welcomed and comfortable during our stay! All aspects were amazing, food was delicious! The bar ladies were brilliant and always had a smile on their face. The drivers were always on time and just as friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. Thank you for making our first trip to Zanzibar one to remember. Caitlin, Kayla and Chloe

Very relaxing and cozy hotel, with a beautiful green garden and lots of wooden furniture. We really felt at home there. The hotel staff is super friendly, as the people in general in the area. The pool is great, to the hotel beach (towels and sunbeds are included) you walk a few steps down, which is also an opportunity to meet and greet local people. My 10 year old son also liked it a lot! We plan on coming back. Besides a breakfast buffet (with coffee, tea, fresh juices and fruits, pancakes, toast, cheese, omlettes, ...) the hotel restaurant also serves very tasty lunch and dinner (a' la carte or with half board), which was good for us. They also have a kids menù.

Nothing to complain.

We stayed in Zan View hotel 4 days and we really enjoyed our stay! Territory of hotel was clean and beatiful, it has also bar and swimming pool. Our room #6, was on second floor and there is a balcony where you can enjoy beatiful sea view. All staff members were kind and friendly, good service. Good breakfast, on buffet you can find coffe/tea, fresh juice, pancakes, toasts, cakes, fruits and fresh vegetables and one breakfast meal of your choice. You can also order lunch and dinner there, but menu prices seemed too high, i believe it could be cheaper. The hotel is on a slope, and its just a couple of minutes of the beach. If you are looking for a nice and quite place in Kiwengwa, I would strongly recommend this hotel! Hakuna matata :)

- poor sound isolation. -expensive prices in restaurant. -bed size is too short and hard. -located far away from Kiwengwa city (no markets and stores around). - in low season no places around to eat, only hotel restaurant.

Property and facilities very good, very clean, well maintained . Staff very friendly and helpful. Small section on beach excellent. The very large beach is a wonderful place with many activities available. Good places on the property to relax and enjoy the view.

The neighboring properties are a bit run down and the short walk to the beach is also a bit unpleasant.
