Your beads NEED ti be revised .... Instead of a double bed, which we had requested, we had twin beds that simply pushed together . Beds that were not at the same Hight... And were very hard for our backs ...

I have stayed here on 4 separate holidays ….. i love that its so close to the beach

The first time i stayed here was in 2007 …. I had the single story villa. The interiors need updating and its a shame they filled in the previously glassed bath area. At over AUD $3000 a week i fear this was my last stay at golden beach. This trip i paid $3000 for three weeks in a 4 star hotel with seaviews in patong

Excellent location right on Ao Nang beach. Very clean and large room. Swimming pool is nice and quiet too. We don't eat meat or egg or dairy but the kitchen we're very good and made us our own breakfast each day.

Not a lot of breakfast choices for non meat eaters however kitchen very good and made us a special breakfast daily.

Location is perfect, 400m down a beachfront road from the main road. Close enough to walk to the main tourist area. 10m if that from the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English, our room was immaculately presented and larger than we expected, although being an end room the balcony was a little cramped but manageable. Huge pool and a 2nd smaller pool for small children with free towels, you can if you wish leave a few Bhat as a gratuity. On site restaurant served a plentiful breakfast, but according to my Thai girlfriend had a limited evening menu.

There was very little to dislike, other than if being really picky the balcony was quite small. Also there is no lift to upper floors so if travellers have mobility issues request a ground floor room.

Golden Beach Resort is located 10 m from the beach, although it doesn't have it's own part. It's close to the main street going through Ao Nang. Room was spacious, with large bed, bathroom with bathtub, safety lock. The pool was medium size with rather cold water. Terrace was equipped with a pair of chairs and wooden drying rack. Breakfast included 4-5 constant options (chicken stew, pad thai, sausages, egg etc.) and fruit selection. Reception service responded to all our requests. If you take care to keep terrace doors closed, there is no problem with any insects in the room (as mentioned in some reviews).

The room and furniture smell very humid, for longer stay it may be annoying. There is only one big terrace window/door in the room, which decreases privacy in the rooms on the ground floor with pool view. Room is rather dark. For longer stay, breakfast may be monotonous.

Has everything you’d expect in a beachside resort — good facilities, views, location, and well, a popular beach right in front of it. All the worthwhile markets, restaurants, and pubs of Ao Nang are walkable from here. It’s also easy to get to Railay, Phi Phi, and other popular islands from the boat operators nearby. Overall a perfect place to both veg out at the premises or step out for fun.

Great location right on the beach, very reasonable price and pretty good breakfast, staff were helpful and the room was clean and comfortable without being anything special. The pool is nice and the hotel environment and local area are very pleasant.

There is virtually no parking at the hotel unfortunately. The rooms need screens installed on the balcony doors so guests can open the balcony doors to listen to the sound of the ocean or the rain without allowing mosquitoes to enter the rooom. The screen doors would also provide some privacy so other guests cannot look into the rooms from the pool area.

The bungalow itself was so beautiful. We had a huge bathroom with a large jacuzzi bath and a lovely shower. The pool was well kept and we almost had it to ourselves as it is low season.

We did not end up getting the room we had booked. This did result in an upgrade but this meant we had no double bed for the adults. Not a huge problem for us but could be for some.

the swimming pool is great and it is in front of the ao nang beach. So you can go for a while to thee beach in the morning and in the afternoon when the sun is really hard, go to the toiled to drink some beers and use the swimming pool. The location is fantastic. The restaurant has excellent food to a normal price, very much better than most of the places in ao nang businesses.
